Shree Cement Denies Reports Of Large-Scale Tax Evasion

Leading cement manufacturer Shree Cement, being surveyed by income tax authorities, has dismissed allegations that the company has been found to have carried out large-scale tax evasion.

The company has issued a statement saying it has collaborated with and provided all support to tax authorities.

It also dismissed media reports about the quantum of tax evasion allegedly found by the income tax department after going through their records.

The company has been facing searches at its factories in Beawar, Raas and Jaipur.

"We also would like to reiterate our strong record on corporate governance and playing our role as a responsible corporate citizen. The allegations made by the media are speculative and we would refrain from making any comments," it said.

अदाणी ग्रुप (Adani Group)की ज्यादातर कंपनियों के शेयर (Adani Share) बुधवार को बढ़त के साथ बंद हुए. इस दौरान ग्रुप की प्रमुख कंपनी अदाणी एंटरप्राइजेज (Adani Enterprises) के शेयर में लगभग 5 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा का उछाल आया. इससे पहले अमेरिकी निवेश कंपनी जीक्यूजी पार्टनर्स (GQG Partners) और कुछ दूसरे निवेशकों ने अदाणी ग्रुप की कंपनियों में अतिरिक्त हिस्सेदारी करीब एक अरब डॉलर में खरीदी. इसके बाद ग्रुप की कंपनियों के शेयरों में तेजी आई. अमेरिका की शॉर्ट सेलर फर्म हिंडनबर्ग रिसर्च के आरोपों के बाद अदाणी ग्रुप ने मार्केट में विश्वास बहाल करना जारी रखा है.

अदाणी ग्रीन एनर्जी के शेयर बढ़त के साथ हुआ बंद
अदाणी एंटरप्राइजेज का शेयर बीएसई में 5.34 प्रतिशत बढ़त के बाद बंद हुआ. अदाणी ट्रांसमिशन (Adani Transmission) का शेयर 5.93 प्रतिशत, अदाणी पोर्ट्स का शेयर 5.12 प्रतिशत, अदाणी टोटल गैस का शेयर 2.26 प्रतिशत, अदाणी विल्मर का शेयर 1.83 प्रतिशत, एसीसी का शेयर 1.31 प्रतिशत, अदाणी पावर का शेयर 0.59 प्रतिशत और अम्बुजा सीमेंट्स का शेयर 0.07 प्रतिशत बढ़त के साथ बंद हुआ.

अदाणी ग्रीन एनर्जी के शेयर गिरे
हालांकि, अदाणी ग्रीन एनर्जी के शेयर 0.16 प्रतिशत और एनडीटीवी का शेयर 0.32 प्रतिशत गिरकर बंद हुए. सूत्रों ने बताया कि निवेशकों ने अदाणी ग्रुप की प्रमुख अदाणी एंटरप्राइजेज लिमिटेड से सिंगल ब्लॉक कारोबार में 1.8 करोड़ शेयर खरीदे.

अदाणी एंटरप्राइजेज में 2300 रुपये पर ब्लॉक ट्रेड 
सूत्रों ने कहा कि अदाणी एंटरप्राइजेज में ब्लॉक ट्रेड 2300 रुपये पर किया गया. ये मंगलवार को बीएसई पर इसके बंद भाव 2,281.75 रुपये से ज्यादा है. अदाणी ग्रीन के लिए ट्रेडों की कीमत 920 रुपये से 924.75 रुपये थी, जो मंगलवार को बंद भाव 959.90 रुपये से कम थी.

Amit Shah To Address Rally In Bihar Tomorrow

Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah will be arriving in the politically crucial state of Bihar and addressing a mega-rally at Lakhisarai in Munger Lok Sabha constituency, party officials said.

Amit Shah, who last visited the state nearly three months ago, will be visiting Bihar for the first time since the meeting of opposition leaders in Patna, hosted by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar last week.

"The honourable Home Minister will reach Patna tomorrow afternoon and take a helicopter for Lakhisarai. He will offer prayers at Ashok Dham, a famous shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati, before addressing a public meeting," state BJP president Samrat Choudhary told PTI.

"All people of the state, in particular Munger Lok Sabha constituency under which Lakhisarai falls, are welcome to attend Shah's public meeting where he is likely to expound on the progress made by the country under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership," added the state BJP chief.

However, the ruling Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, comprising JD(U), RJD, Congress and the Left, who have been riding high on the success of the opposition meet, launched a counter-offensive.

JD(U) national general secretary and spokesman Rajib Ranjan came out with a list of "12 questions" which, he hoped, Amit Shah would answer in his speech on Thursday.

The questions related to past electoral promises of BJP like two crore jobs every year and doubling of farmers' income, besides complaints about the Centre's refusal to accept the state government's demands like "one nation, one tariff" in the power sector and central status to Patna University.

RJD spokesman Mrityunjay Tiwari said "ever since Bihar was having the so-called double engine government, Shah never bothered about the state. But he seems to have grown obsessed with Bihar ever since the BJP was thrown out".

Theb BJP party's leader in the state legislature, Vijay Kumar Sinha, who is also the MLA from Lakhisarai, explained to journalists in his constituency the political significance of the venue for the rally.

"Munger Lok Sabha segment has always been remembered for its association with Bihar's first Chief Minister Shri Krishna Singh. Today, the local MP is sitting in the lap of the RJD," alleged Sinha. The Lok Sabha seat is currently held by Rajiv Ranjan Singh 'Lalan', the national president of Nitish Kumar's JD(U).

Lalan belongs to the 'Bhumihar' caste, which has been traditionally averse to RJD and its founder Lalu Prasad and always hero-worshipped 'Shri babu', as the first Bihar Chief Minister  is commonly known, as a hero of the clan.

Notably, Munger is also a Lok Sabha seat which has been won by the BJP-led NDA many times but where the saffron party is yet to field its own candidate.

Lalan has won the seat twice, with the BJP as his party's ally on both occasions.

देश के ज्यादातर बाजारों में टमाटर की कीमत (Tomato Price) 100 रुपये प्रति किलो के पार हो गई है. एक महीने में टमाटर की कीमतों में 20 गुना बढ़ोतरी हुई है. रिटेल मार्केट में इसकी कीमत करीब 40-50 रुपये किलो थी. यानी दाम करीब-करीब दोगुने हो गए हैं. कई राज्यों में बारिश और गर्मी के कारण टमाटर की फसल को नुकसान पहुंचा है. कई जगहों पर इस साल टमाटर की बुआई पिछले साल के मुकाबले कम है. सवाल ये है कि टमाटर की कीमत आखिर कब तक कम होंगी? सरकार ने इस सवाल का जवाब दिया है.

उपभोक्ता मामलों के विभाग के सचिव रोहित कुमार सिंह ने NDTV से खास बातचीत में कहा कि टमाटर की कीमतों में तीव्र वृद्धि एक अस्थायी समस्या है. टमाटर की कीमतों में आए तेज उछाल मौसम-जनित परिस्थिति है. अगले 10-15 दिनों में टमाटर के दाम में नीचे आ जाएंगे. उन्होंने कहा, ''हर साल इस समय ऐसा होता है. टमाटर बहुत जल्द खराब होने वाला खाद्य उत्पाद है और अचानक बारिश होने से इसकी ढुलाई पर असर पड़ता है.''

रोहित कुमार सिंह ने कहा, "मैं लोगों को आश्वस्त करना चाहता हूं कि अगले कुछ दिनों में टमाटर की कीमतें कम होने वाली हैं... दिल्ली में सोलन और हिमाचल प्रदेश के अन्य केंद्रों से ताजा आपूर्ति की उम्मीद है. इससे कीमतों को नियंत्रित करने में मदद मिलेगी. मुझे लगता है कि 10 से 15 दिनों के भीतर टमाटर की कीमत कम होनी शुरू हो जाएगी."

किस जगह कितनी टमाटर की कीमत है?
उपभोक्ता मामले विभाग के आंकड़ों से पता चलता है कि दिल्ली में टमाटर 70 से 100 रुपये प्रति किलो में बिक रहा है. मध्य प्रदेश में 80 से 100 रुपये, उत्तर प्रदेश में 80 से 100 रुपये किलो, मुंबई में 42 रुपये प्रति किलो और राजस्थान में टमाटर 90 से 110 रुपये प्रति किलो में बिक रहा है. एक हफ्ते पहले होलसेल मार्केट में टमाटर 30-35 प्रति किलो में बिक रहे थे. आंकड़ों से पता चलता है कि यूपी के गोरखपुर और कर्नाटक के बेल्लारी में टमाटर की अधिकतम कीमत 122 प्रति किलोग्राम तक पहुंची है.

रोहित कुमार सिंह ने NDTV को बताया, "हर साल इस समय टमाटर की कीमतों में बढ़ोतरी होती है. यह उन बुरे समय में से एक है." उन्होंने कहा कि मौजूदा संकट खराब मौसम और आपूर्ति बाधाओं के दोहरे प्रभाव के कारण है. मॉनसून के कारण हिमाचल प्रदेश और उत्तराखंड में भारी बारिश हो रही है, जिससे फसल प्रभावित हुई है. इससे आपूर्ति भी सीमित हो गई है.

टमाटर की कीमत बढ़ने के कारण
दिल्ली-एनसीआर क्षेत्र में दूध और फल-सब्जियों की बिक्री करने वाली मदर डेयरी के स्टोर पर भी टमाटर का भाव एक हफ्ते में ही दोगुना होकर करीब 80 रुपये प्रति किलो हो चुका है. प्रमुख उत्पादक क्षेत्रों में बारिश होने से टमाटर की आपूर्ति बाधित होने से इसके दाम में उछाल आया है. इसके पीछे कई कारण हैं. कई राज्यों में बारिश के कारण टमाटर की फसल को नुकसान पहुंचा है. कुछ हिस्सों में भीषण गर्मी पड़ रही है, जिससे उत्पादन में गिरावट आई है. पड़ोसी राज्यों से पर्याप्त मात्रा में टमाटर की आपूर्ति नहीं हो पा रही है. कई जगहों पर इस साल टमाटर की बुआई पिछले साल के मुकाबले कम हुई है. आसान शब्दों में इस साल टमाटर की सप्लाई डिमांड से कम हो रही है. इसलिए दाम बढ़ गए हैं.

चीन के बाद भारत सबसे बड़ा टमाटर उत्पादक देश
रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, चीन के बाद दुनिया का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा टमाटर उत्पादक देश भारत है. ये करीब 7.89 लाख हेक्टेयर क्षेत्र से लगभग 25.05 टन प्रति हेक्टेयर की औसत उपज के साथ करीब 2 करोड़ टन टमाटर का उत्पादन करता है. चीन 5.6 करोड़ टन उत्पादन के साथ टॉप पर है. भारत में मुख्य तौर पर दो तरह के टमाटर उगाए जाते हैं. हाइब्रिड और लोकल.

मध्य प्रदेश सबसे बड़ा टमाटर उत्पादक राज्य
मध्य प्रदेश देश में सबसे बड़ा टमाटर उत्पादक राज्य है. इसके बाद सर्वाधिक टमाटर उगाने वाले राज्यों में आंध्रप्रदेश, कर्नाटक, तमिलनाडु, ओडिशा और गुजरात का नंबर है.

ग्रैंड टोमेटो चैलेंज आयोजित करेगी सरकार
रोहित कुमार सिंह ने कहा, "सरकार ने ग्रैंड टोमेटो चैलेंज आयोजित करने का फैसला किया है. इससे लोगों से फलों के बेहतर संरक्षण के लिए विचारों पर विचार-मंथन करने की अपील की जाएगी. उन्होंने कहा, "टमाटर एक अत्यधिक खराब होने वाली वस्तु है... हम इस बारे में विचार प्राप्त करना चाहते हैं कि नई टेक्नोलॉजी टमाटर के स्टोरेज को बेहतर बनाने में कैसे मदद कर सकती हैं. ताकि इसके खराब होने की समस्या पर ध्यान दिया जा सके."

Supertech Promotor RK Arora Arrested In Money Laundering Case

RK Arora, the promoter of real estate group Supertech, has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in an alleged money laundering case, sources said. He is likely to be produced before a special court on Wednesday, and the central agency will seek his custody.

RK Arora was arrested under the PMLA (Prevention of money laundering) Act after three rounds of questioning.

There are more than 20 FIRs (First Information Reports) against him in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana based on complaints filed by buyers.

The buyers had alleged that the company and its directors indulged in "criminal conspiracy" to cheat people by collecting funds from prospective buyers as an advance against booked flats in their real estate projects. But they failed to adhere to it and give possession of the flats on time, the central agency had said.

The FIRs alleged that the company had "defrauded" the general public, the ED had said.

Investigation revealed that Supertech Ltd and group companies collected money from homebuyers and took project-specific term loans from banks/financial institutions for projects/flats. But the funds were diverted to purchase land in the name of other group companies, which were again pledged as collaterals to borrow funds, the ED alleged.

The Supertech group had also "defaulted" on its payments to the banks and financial institutions and currently, around Rs 1,500 crore of such loans have become non-performing asset, the agency had said.

In April, assets worth more than Rs 40 crore of Supertech and its directors were attached under the anti-money laundering law, the Enforcement Directorate had said.

NEET Aspirant Dies By Suicide In Rajasthan's Kota No Note Recovered: Cops

An 18-year-old medical aspirant from Udaipur allegedly died by suicide in his hostel room in Vigyan Nagar Police Station area here on Tuesday morning, police said.

The teenager, preparing for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), allegedly hanged himself sometime in the intervening nights of Monday and Tuesday, they said. However, no suicide note was recovered from the hostel room, police added.

This is the 13th case of suspected suicide by a coaching student in Kota this year. In 2022, at least 15 cases of suicide by coaching students were registered in Kota.

The dead boy was identified as Mehul Vaishnav (18), a resident of Salumbar in Udaipur district, had been preparing for NEET in a coaching institute in Kota for the past two months. He was living in a hostel in the Vigyan Nagar area.

Vaishnav was alone in his hostel room as his roommate was away that night. When he did not come out of the room till late Tuesday morning, others in the hostel informed the caretaker, who broke the door open and found the boy hanging from a ceiling fan.

The body was shifted to the mortuary at MBS hospital. His post-mortem will be conducted after the arrival of his family members, Circle inspector (CI) at Vigyan Nagar Police Station Devesh Bhardwaj said.

Leader From Uddhav Thackeray's Party Joins Eknath Shinde's Sena

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former corporator Sanjay Agaldare joined the Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today.

Nearly a dozen former corporators from Shiv Sena (UBT) have joined the Shinde-led Sena in the last year since a rebellion split the party.

Before the term of the corporators ended early last year, Agaldare represented Ward No. 99 - Khar Danda - of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Speaking on the occasion, according to a statement by his office, Mr Shinde said that the speed with which the Shiv Sena-BJP government is working in the state for the last 11 months has made the Opposition worried about its future.

"Since our government came to power, we have taken several decisions for the welfare of the public and in a short span of time we have expedited developmental works that had come to a halt under the previous government. Those who ruled the BMC for 15 years didn't do anything for the city," said Mr Shinde.

The Opposition is scared thinking about the work the government will do in the next 1.5 years, he said. "Mumbaikars trust us and so corporators continue to join us," said Mr Shinde.

He slammed the Shiv Sena (UBT) for planning to organise a morcha on July 1 outside the Mumbai municipal corporation against "irregularities" in its functioning.

"You looted Mumbai for 15 years and now when we are asking you for an explanation you want to hold a protest. You should protest outside your own house," said Mr Shinde.

He said Mumbai suffered every year due to sub-standard infrastructure when the Sena under Mr Thackeray ruled the BMC.

"And these people want to question our work. We have taken a decision to make Mumbai pothole free, started health clinics, beautification projects have been taken up and infrastructure projects have been expedited," said Mr Shinde.
