जमम-कशमर और लददख म महसस कए गए भकप क झटक

जम्मू-कश्मीर और लद्दाख के कुछ हिस्सों में शनिवार रात भूकंप के झटके महसूस किए गए हैं. मिल रही जानकारी के अनुसार भूकंप के झटके रात पौने दस बजे महसूस किए गए हैं. रिक्टर स्केल पर भूकंप की तीव्रता 4.4 से 4.5 आंकी गई है. जम्मू-कश्मीर में डोडा में झटके महसूस किए गए. भूकंप की वजह से अभी तक जान और माल का कोई नुकसान नहीं हुआ है. भूकंप के झटके महसूस होने के बाद स्थानीय लोग अपने घर से बाहर आ गए.

खास बात ये है कि 35 मिनट के अंदर भूकंप के झटके दो बार महसूस किए गए हैं. बार-बार महसूस किए जा रहे भूकंप के झटकों की वजह से स्थानीय लोगों में डर का माहौल है. 

बता दें कि लद्दाख में पिछले गुरुवार को भी भूकंप के झटके महसूस किए गए थे. उस दौरान भूकंप की तीव्रता 3.2 आंकी गई थी. प्रशासन से मिली जानकारी के उस दौरान किसी के हताहत होने की कोई सूचना नहीं थी. जबकि उस दौरान भूकंप की गहराई जमीन से 10 किलोमीटर पाई गई थी.

1st batch of Jammu And Kashmir Light Infantry Agniveers attested

The first batch of Agniveers of the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) were attested in a befitting ceremony in Srinagar on Saturday, a defence spokesperson said.

The ceremony held at the JAKLI Regimental Centre commenced with a salute to the national flag, followed by oath taking, parade review by the Commandant and piping of the Agniveers, the spokesperson said.

"The young boys have been transformed into confident, capable, smart, and proud soldiers and citizens," he said.

It concluded with the Regimental song and the national anthem with the Agniveers dedicating themselves with resolve to serve the nation.

"The Agniveers commenced their rigorous training on January 01, 2023. Their training of 24 weeks has enhanced their physical fitness and endurance, sharpened their senses, made them mentally robust and taught them the skills of a soldier necessary to achieve victory in battle," he said.

"The training also focused on building their character, imbibing regimental traditions, military history and ethos, camaraderie and above all an unrelenting spirit," the spokesperson said.

The Agniveers will undergo another seven weeks of intense training before they join their units located across the country, he said.

In addition to military training, the Agniveers received instructions on varied subjects, which empower them to be responsible and contributing citizens of the nation, the spokesperson said.

"They embody teamwork, leadership, and dynamism. Their discipline, vibrance, dedication and determination to persevere against all odds is the spirit of a confident generation which will carry the nation in the 21st century," he said.

"The Agniveers have chosen a path, a way of life which is demanding, yet extraordinary and glorious and today they realised their dreams against all odds thus, setting an example for the youth of our nation in general and Kashmir in particular and will save as role models for the future Agniveers," the spokesperson said.

Delhi Metro To Operate Mumbai's 1st Underground Metro Line

The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) has awarded the DMRC a 10-year contract to operate and maintain its underground Line-3 after the Delhi Metro emerged as the lowest bidder in the tendering process, officials said on Friday.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 33.5 km-long Line-3 with 27 stations, including management of operation control centre, depot control centre, stations, running trains, maintenance of trains and all metro systems infrastructure and ensuring the safety of passengers, the Delhi Metro said in a statement here.

The Mumbai Metro Line-3, which is being constructed by the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA), is expected to be operationalised in parts from the end of this year onwards.

The kick-off meeting between the DMRC and the MMRCL was held at the latter's headquarters in Mumbai on Friday.

"Amit Kumar Jain, Director (Operations and Services), DMRC thanked Ashwini Bhide, Managing Director, MMRCL and assured that with the vast experience of more than 20 years of operating metro services in Delhi covering around 400 kms (of) network, DMRC, which is now the lifeline of Delhi, is committed to achieving excellence in financial capital of the country and serve people of Mumbai with safe, reliable, comfortable and high quality service," the statement said.

"MMRCL is happy to be associated with DMRC, one of the leading metro operating companies in the country, for operation and maintenance of Mumbai's first underground metro line," it said.

Cyclone Biparjoy : चक्रवाती तूफान 'बिपरजॉय' जिसका अर्थ तो 'आपदा' है, लेकिन यह गुजरात के तटीय इलाकों में करीब 300 परिवारों के लिए खुशी लेकर आया है. कच्छ के कलेक्टर अमित अरोरा ने NDTV को एक खास इंटरव्यू में बताया कि लगभग 270 गर्भवती महिलाओं को चक्रवात से पहले एहतियात के तौर पर विभिन्न अस्पतालों में ले जाया गया और उनका सुरक्षित प्रसव कराया गया.

अरोरा ने कहा, "हमने गर्भवती 512 महिलाओं को अस्पतालों में भर्ती कराया. उनमें से 274 ने बच्चों को जन्म दिया और घर चली गईं. बाकी अभी अस्पतालों में भर्ती हैं."

गर्भवती महिलाओं को दो दिन पहले ही अस्पतालों में शिफ्ट कर दिया गया था. चक्रवाती तूफान ने आज शाम को दस्तक दी.

कच्छ के कलेक्टर अमित अरोरा ने कहा कि, ''हवा की गति बढ़ गई है और लैंडफॉल सभी जगह हो रहा है. संभावना है कि कुछ स्थानों पर रात में लैंडफॉल होगा. मेरा मानना है कि अब तक सारे हालात नियंत्रण में हैं. कोई भी बड़ी जनहानि या संपत्ति के नुकसान की आशंका नहीं है. हमने समय रहते लोगों को (समुद्र तट के करीब से) हटा लिया है.'' 

उन्होंने कहा कि, ''कुछ मामूली नुकसान हुआ है. करीब 200 बिजली के खंभे क्षतिग्रस्त हो गए हैं. हमने पांच तहसीलों में एहतियात बरतते हुए पर्याप्त इंतजाम किए हैं. हमने पानी की सप्लाई के लिए वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था करते हुए 47 जनरेटर लगाए हैं. '' 
  
अरोरा ने कहा कि, ''हम मोबाइल एजेंसी से लगातार समन्वय बनाए हुए हैं. हम इंटरडिपार्टमेंट रोमिंग कम्युनिकेशन बनाए हुए हैं. व्यवस्थाएं 17 जून तक के लिए की गई हैं. इसके अलावा जिले में मोबाइल टॉवर कंपनियों के 500 जनरेटर लगाए गए हैं. एग्रीगेट टावर भी काम कर रहे हैं. इससे सभी गांवों में कम्युनिकेशन हो रहा है. कोई भी गांव ऐसा नहीं है जहां मोबाइल कनेक्टिविटी नहीं है.''

उन्होंने कहा कि, ''कोशिश यही है कि कोई कैजुअल्टी न हो. हमने करीब 25 हजार लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थानों पर शिफ्ट कर दिया है. हम साइक्लॉन के खत्म होने का इंतजार करेंगे औप उसके बाद ही नुकसान का आकलन करेंगे.''    

पूर्व में इन हालात में हुए नुकसान के बारे में सवाल पर अरोरा ने कहा कि, ''हम कोई भविष्यवाणी तो नहीं कर सकते लेकिन हमने हम आने वाली हर स्थिति का सामना करने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार हैं. उन इलाकों को, जहां तूफान सबसे ज्यादा असर दिखा सकता है, हमने पूरी तरह खाली करा लिया है. हमने करीब 52 हजार लोगों को शेल्टर कैंपों में शिफ्ट कर दिया है. तटीय इलाके से मवेशियों को भी सुरक्षित स्थानों पर शिफ्ट किया गया है.'' 

उन्होंने कहा कि, ''हमारी मूलभूत कोशिश है कि कोई भी जनहानि न हो और जितनी जल्द संभव हो जनजीवन सामान्य हो जाए. मेडिकल सुविधाएं और आरामदेह शेल्टर होम की सुविधा देना हमारी प्राथमिकता है. शेल्टर होम में जनरेटर, मिल्क पाउडर उपलब्ध कराया जा रहा है.'' 

अरोरा ने कहा कि, ''मुझे यह बताते हुए खुशी हो रहा है कि हमने चक्रवात के आने से पहले 512 गर्भवती महिलाओं को तटीय क्षेत्रों से निकालकर सुरक्षित स्थानों पर पहुंचाया. उनमें से 274 ने अस्पतालों में बच्चों को जन्म दिया है. हमने उन सभी गर्भवती महिलाओं को अस्पताल में भर्ती किया है.''

West Bengal Minister Manas Ranjan Bhunia Divested Of Environment Portolio

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday divested senior minister Manas Ranjan Bhunia of the Environment portfolio and took over the charge of the department, a senior official said.

Mr Bhunia will, however, continue to hold the portfolio of Water Resources Investigation and Development, the official said.

Ms Banerjee will now be looking after nine departments, including the Home and the Environment department.

The other departments under Mamata Banerjee's supervision are the Personal and Administrative Reforms, Health, Land & Land Reforms And Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation Department, Information and Cultural Affairs, Planning and Statistics in addition to the Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education Department.

Asked what could be the reason behind Mr Bhunia's removal from the Environment department, the official said that the recent incidents of blasts in illegal firecracker units at Egra, Budge Budge and other parts of the state.

"The Chief Minister is quite concerned about blasts in illegal firecracker units in the state. There is a concern about where all the explosives were smuggled... The Chief Minister now wants to look after the department personally," the official said.

Delhi Likely To See Rain Thunderstorm Over The Next Few Days

Parts of Delhi, including Dwarka, received rainfall on Wednesday, despite there being no forecast for rains for the day. Delhiites are expected to get some relief from the punishing heat in the next few days with light rains and thundershowers in the offing, the weather office said.

The maximum temperature is expected to be between 36 degrees Celsius and 39 degrees Celsius till June 20, it said.

Delhi sweated under scorching heat on Wednesday with the maximum temperature settling at 40.9 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average, and the minimum temperature being recorded at 29.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.

The humidity levels oscillated between 43 per cent and 57 per cent throughout the day.

The India Meteorological Department has forecast a partly cloudy sky for Thursday with the possibility of very light rain or thundershowers towards evening at one or two places.

The city is likely to receive light rains or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds, on June 18 and 19.

Gusty winds are expected to sweep through Delhi on Thursday with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to settle around 39 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively.

The city would receive light rains Thursday and Friday under the influence of Cyclone Biparjoy which is gaining steam in the Arabian Sea, private forecasting agency Skymet Weather had said earlier this week.

However, in a fresh forecast, the IMD predicted thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 30-40 kmph over and around areas such as Narela, Alipur, Dwarka, Delhi Cantt, India Gate, Akshardham, Palam, Safdarjung, Lodhi Road, Nehru Stadium, IGI Airport, Karawal Nagar, Dilshad Garden, Seemapuri, and parts of NCR like Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, the weather department said.

1. गुजरात में तूफान से सबसे अधिक कच्छ के प्रभावित होने की संभावना है. कच्छ में समंदर के किनारे एकदम सन्नाटा पसरा हुआ है. तूफ़ान से डरे लोग जल्द से जल्द समंदर से दूर जा रहे हैं.  तेज हवाओं के साथ भारी बारिश भी इस क्षेत्र में हो रही है.
2. गुजरात के कच्छ से अब कत करीब 44 हजार लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थानों पर पहुंचाया गया है. 9 कस्बे पूरी तरह बंद कर दिए गए हैं हजारों लोगों को शेल्टर होम में रखा गया है.
3. एनडीआरएफ की 19 टीमों को तैनात किया गया है. कुल मिला कर एनडीआरएफ और एसडीआरएफ की 30 टीमें तैनात की गईं हैं. बीएसएफ भी आने वाले वक्त की चुनौती के लिए तैयार है. यह तूफान गुजरात होते हुए राजस्थान की ओर बढ़ेगा.
4. पश्चिमी रेलवे ने करीब 95 ट्रेनें रद्द की हैं. स्कूल बंद कर दिए गए हैं. तेल उत्खनन के सभी कुएं और बंदरगाह बंद कर दिए गए हैं. आकाशवाणी ने अपने टावर को हटा लिया है. 
5. मौसम विभाग के डीजी एम महापात्रा ने एनडीटीवी से बात करते हुए कहा है कि हमने साइक्लोन जखाऊ पोर्ट के पास 15 जून की शाम को एक अति प्रचंड चक्रवाती तूफान बन कर तट से टकराने का जो पूर्वानुमान जारी किया है हम उस पर कायम हैं.साइक्लोन 15 जून की शाम को (4pm se 8pm के बीच) जखाऊ पोर्ट के पास तट से टकराएगा. उस समय समुद्री हवाओं की रफ्तार 125 से 135 किलोमीटर से लेकर 150 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे तक रह सकती है. 
6. गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने गुरुवार को तेलंगाना का दौरा रद्द कर दिया है. मोदी सरकार के 9 साल पूरे होने के मौके पर तेलंगाना में उनका कार्यक्रम होने वाला था. अमित शाह की तीन सभाएं होने वाली थी. गुरुवार को गृह मंत्री अमित शाह गृह मंत्रालय में ही मौजूद रह कर तूफान के हालात पर नजर रखेंगे. 
7. रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने बुधवार को तीनों सेना प्रमुखों से बात की और चक्रवात 'बिपारजॉय' के प्रभाव से निपटने के लिए सशस्त्र बलों की तैयारियों की समीक्षा की. तैयारियों की समीक्षा करने के बाद सिंह ने कहा कि सशस्त्र बल चक्रवात के कारण उत्पन्न होने वाली किसी भी स्थिति से निपटने में हरसंभव सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए तैयार हैं.
8. चक्रवात के भारत-पाक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सीमा से गुजरने की संभावना व्यक्त की गई है. अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सीमा की रक्षा करने के साथ-साथ सीमा सुरक्षा बल द्वारा बचाव कार्यों के लिए आवश्यक संसाधन की उपलब्धता भी सूनिश्चित की गई है. सिविल अधिकारियों के साथ समन्वय स्थापित किया गया है और सिविल प्रशासन तथा स्थानीय लोगों को सभी प्रकार की आवश्यक सहायता के लिए कार्य योजना सुनिश्चित की जा रही है.
9. राजस्थान की मुख्य सचिव उषा शर्मा ने कहा है कि  राजस्थान सरकार बिपरजॉय चक्रवाती तूफान से बचाव को लेकर पूरी तरह से तैयार है.उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी हालात से निपटने के लिए राष्ट्रीय आपदा मोचन बल (एस डी आर एफ) की 17 टीम नियुक्त की गई हैं और 30 टीम को तैयार रहने को कहा गया है, जहां कहीं भी इसकी जरूरत होगी, वहां इन्हें भेजा जाएगा.
10. केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री मनसुख मांडविया ने बुधवार को चक्रवात ‘बिपारजॉय' से निपटने के लिए कच्छ में की जा रही तैयारियों की समीक्षा की.उन्होंने कच्छ जिले के सरकारी अस्पतालों, ट्रस्ट द्वारा संचालित अस्पतालों और क्षेत्र के अन्य अस्पतालों में ऑक्सीजन, वेंटिलेटर आदि की उपलब्धता की भी समीक्षा की.

Assam Top Cop Faces Police Case Over Remarks Against Dead BJP Leader

Slain Assam BJP leader Jonali Nath's husband on Wednesday filed a police complaint against CID Inspector General Devaraj Upadhyaya for claiming that the arrested accused, Hasanur Islam, was in a relationship with the deceased.

The body of BJP Goalpara district secretary Jonali Nath was found on National Highway 17 in Salpara area under the jurisdiction of Krishnai police station on Monday morning, following which Islam, who runs a shop in Matia area, was arrested.

Upadhyaya, in a media briefing, claimed Islam admitted during interrogation that he was in a relationship with Nath earlier but got married to another woman a few months ago.

The official said that the BJP leader had confronted him and they had an argument in a car, following which Islam attacked and killed her, dumped her body on the highway and fled in his car. Chandra Kumar Nath lodged the FIR with Matia police station in Goalpara district, stating he had full faith in his wife and he and his family could not accept Upadhyaya's claim.

''We demand an apology from Upadhayay as his statement has damaged the reputation of my dead wife and also my entire family. I also demand a proper and detailed inquiry into the killing as it has also destroyed the lives of my two daughters,'' he said.

Director General of Police G P Singh, who visited Goalpara on Wednesday to review the case, also admitted that the IGP should not have made the statement in public.

Singh said he has asked officials concerned to issue an advisory to Upadhyaya in this regard.

''Spokespersons should be careful about what they say in public. The spokesperson should not reveal to the public all details but should present those in the court. Words that once come out, cannot be taken back. It should be remembered that when the police talk to the media, they are talking to the public," Singh said.

Singh said he visited Goalpara to review the probe and has directed the police to submit the charge-sheet within 60 days.

"The woman killed was a prominent person and was involved in politics and microfinance schemes, therefore I have asked the police to investigate all angles and whether more people were involved in her death," Singh added.

अमेरिका के राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार जेक सुलिवन ने मंगलवार को प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी से मुलाकात की और दोनों देशों के बीच द्विपक्षीय सहयोग के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में अब तक हुई प्रगति के बारे में उन्हें जानकारी दी. प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय (पीएमओ) की ओर से जारी एक बयान में यह जानकारी दी गई. बयान के मुताबिक, प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने बढ़ती और गहरी होती भारत-अमेरिका व्यापक वैश्विक रणनीतिक साझेदारी पर संतोष व्यक्त किया. 

बयान के अनुसार, सुलिवन ने कहा कि अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडन राजकीय यात्रा पर प्रधानमंत्री मोदी का स्वागत करने के लिए उत्सुक हैं. इसमें कहा गया, "प्रधानमंत्री ने भारत और अमेरिका के बीच बढ़ती और गहरी होती व्यापक वैश्विक रणनीतिक साझेदारी पर संतोष व्यक्त किया."

उद्योग मंडल सीआईआई की 'क्रिटिकल एंड इमर्जिंग टेक्नोलॉजीज इनिशिएटिव (आईसीईटी) पहल पर आयोजित दूसरे 'ट्रैक-1.5 डायलॉग. में रोडमैप की घोषणा की गई.

डोभाल और सुलिवन ने 'ट्रैक 1.5 डायलॉग. से पहले वार्ता की, जिसमें कई द्विपक्षीय और क्षेत्रीय मुद्दों पर चर्चा हुई.

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार सुलिवन प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की वाशिंगटन यात्रा से पहले डोभाल, विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर और अन्य वरिष्ठ भारतीय अधिकारियों के साथ वार्ता के लिए दो दिवसीय यात्रा पर मंगलवार को यहां पहुंचे.

उल्लेखनीय है कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी 21 से 24 जून तक अमेरिका की यात्रा पर रहेंगे. मोदी को राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडन और प्रथम महिला जिल बाइडन ने आधिकारिक राजकीय यात्रा के लिए आमंत्रित किया है. उनकी इस यात्रा में 22 जून को राजकीय रात्रिभोज भी शामिल होगा.

मोदी 23 जून को अमेरिकी कांग्रेस की संयुक्त बैठक को संबोधित करेंगे. यह दूसरा अवसर होगा, जब मोदी अमेरिकी कांग्रेस को संबोधित करेंगे. वह इजराइल को छोड़कर तीसरे ऐसे विश्व नेता होंगे, जिन्होंने दो बार अमेरिकी कांग्रेस को संबोधित किया हो. अन्य दो नेताओं में विंस्टन चर्चिल और नेल्सन मंडेला शामिल हैं. मोदी ने इससे पहले 2016 में अमेरिकी कांग्रेस को संबोधित किया था.

Kamal Nath Raises Questions On Safety After Massive Bhopal Building Fire

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Tuesday took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led state government and raised questions over the fire incident that broke out at Satpura Bhawan in the state capital on Monday evening.

"This is another example of corruption. Whether the fire broke out or it was set, it is the biggest question? So far it has been said that 12000 files have been burnt in the incident, but don't know how many files would have been burnt in it. This is a matter of huge corruption and it should be thoroughly investigated. The inquiry should be conducted by an independent agency in the matter," Nath said.

Raising questions on the preparation of the state government to deal with the fire incident, the congress leader said, "They (BJP-led state government) have no preparation for anything. Their preparation is only in making money."

On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang said, "Congress does politics on every issue. The offices where the fire broke out, there was no such office in which any kind of government procurement, tender process, money related work or any budget related work was done."

He added that there was an office of Tribal Area Development Programmes (TADP) which took care of funds received from the central grant used for the development of tribal areas. The complete record of it is with the Central Government and is also with the state government in this digital era.

Secondly, there was an office health department in which there were only files of the establishment, in which there is no point of corruption and that too will be recreated in today's digital age, the minister further said.

Congress only does politics on every issue, there is neither the matter of files of corruption, nor any transaction, Congress is making allegations to polish their politics. It is completely baseless, minister Sarang added.

Earlier, after the fire incident, Congress MLA Jitu Patwari wrote over Twitter, "This is our health directorate. It is operated from the Satpura Bhawan in the state capital Bhopal. Today it caught fire again."

He further wrote, "CM Chouhan, my direct question is, whether the fire breaks out or has it been set? Because it is generally believed that the government does such 'action' to destroy the evidence before the elections. Now, the BJP should also tell who were the culprits in the old fire incident. How many people were punished?"

On the other hand, former Pradesh Congress Committee President (PCC) Chief Arun Yadav also tweeted on Monday, "Today, when Priyanka Gandhi attacked regarding the scams while addressing in Jabalpur, a huge fire broke out in the Satpura Bhawan in which important files were burnt to ashes."

"Whether it is a conspiracy to burn the documents of scams on the pretext of fire? This fire incident is indicating a change in Madhya Pradesh," he further wrote on Twitter.

Post-Mortem Report Of 2 Out Of 4 Tigers In UP Reserve Shows Head Injuries

Post-mortem reports of two out of four carcasses of tigers that have died in the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve within the last two months have revealed head injuries, a senior scientist said on Monday.

One of the tiger's head injuries suggested that it was attacked by a bigger animal, said Dr AM Pawde, principal scientist and in-charge, Centre for Wildlife at ICAR-IVRI, Bareilly.

"In the examination, it was found that the tiger weighed 210 kg. The right elbow joint was injured and twisted. It had injury marks on its head, and it seemed that it was crushed. There were some scratches on its body," Pawde told PTI.

"It seems that some bigger animal had attacked the tiger, and it could be an elephant or a rhinoceros. Scratch marks were found on the rear side of the waist (right side), which indicate that the animal was bigger (in size) than the tiger," he said. The tiger's liver was also damaged, he added.

The post-mortem examination of another tiger revealed that its head injury was old, Pawde said, adding the big cat's body, including its intestines and head were filled with worms.

"It was healthy, but succumbed to the injuries 4-5 day ago. It also had acute shortage of water in its body. Blood had accumulated in its lungs and liver," Pawde said.

"Evidence of a pointed-horn piercing into the liver has been found. The liver was enlarged, and it was not able to run. It is also possible that owing to intense heat, it had consumed toxic meat," Pawde added.

The post-mortem of the third tiger was not possible as it was completely decomposed, the principal scientist said, adding that research is being conducted on it.

The post-mortem examination of the fourth tiger was conducted by Dr Dayashankar in Lakhimpur Kheri. He had sent the tissues for test here, and they are being examined, Pawde said.

Earlier on Friday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed serious concern over the deaths of tigers in the tiger reserve and ordered a probe.

Four tigers have died since April 21 due to different reasons as stated by Dudhwa authorities. Taking cognisance of the casualties, Adityanath had directed the state forest minister, additional chief secretary, forest and other senior forest officials to visit Dudhwa National Park and carry out a thorough probe.

Adityanath has also sought a detailed report of the reasons behind the big cats' recent deaths, the official said.

On April 21, a two-year-old male tiger was found dead in the Dudhwa buffer zone. Officials said the young tiger might have eaten up some sharp bone leading to internal injuries causing stomach rupture, resulting in its death.

On May 31, a four-year-old male tiger died in the north Nighasan range of the Dudhwa buffer zone. Officials said its death was caused by a puncture wound in its trachea due to infighting.

On June 3, a two-year-old tigress died in a village in the Dudhwa buffer zone right under the eyes of forest officials and villagers. The tigress was reported to have its canines and paws damaged.

On Friday, the carcass of a six to seven-year-old male tiger was recovered from a pond in the Mailani range of Kishanpur sanctuary.

NIA ने भारतीय उच्चायोग में हिंसक प्रदर्शन करने वालों की पहचान के लिये मदद मांगी

राष्ट्रीय अन्वेषण अभिकरण (एनआईए) ने इस साल मार्च में लंदन में भारतीय उच्चायोग परिसर में तोड़फोड़ की जांच के संबंध में सोमवार को पांच वीडियो जारी किए और हिंसक प्रदर्शनों में शामिल व्यक्तियों की पहचान करने में आम जनता की मदद मांगी. सीसीटीवी से लगभग दो घंटे के फुटेज को एनआईए ने अपनी वेबसाइट पर पोस्ट किया और लिंक को अपने आधिकारिक ट्विटर हैंडल पर साझा किया है, जिसमें लोगों से वीडियो में देखे गए व्यक्तियों के बारे में कोई भी जानकारी एजेंसी को उपलब्ध कराने का आग्रह किया गया है. 

एनआईए ने एक बयान में कहा कि इस साल 19 मार्च को लंदन में भारतीय उच्चायोग परिसर में देश विरोधी तत्वों द्वारा किए गए हमले का सीसीटीवी फुटेज अपलोड किया गया है. बयान में कहा गया, "लोगों से अनुरोध है कि फुटेज में देखे गए व्यक्तियों के बारे में जनहित में कोई भी जानकारी एनआईए को प्रदान करें."

बयान में कहा गया कि सूचना को गुप्त रखा जाएगा. एजेंसी ने सूचना देने के लिए एक व्हाट्सऐप नंबर भी साझा किया है. 

घटनाक्रम की जानकारी रखने वाले अधिकारियों ने कहा कि एनआईए की एक टीम ने मामले की जानकारी हासिल करने के लिए लंदन का दौरा किया था और 'स्कॉटलैंड यार्ड' (लंदन पुलिस) के अधिकारियों से बातचीत की थी.

एजेंसी ने दिल्ली पुलिस के विशेष प्रकोष्ठ से जांच अपने हाथ में ली, जिसने गैरकानूनी गतिविधि (रोकथाम) अधिनियम और सार्वजनिक संपत्ति को नुकसान की रोकथाम अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज किया था, क्योंकि इसमें विदेश में भारतीय नागरिकता रखने वाले कुछ लोगों द्वारा की गई अवैध गतिविधियां शामिल हैं. 

खालिस्तान समर्थक प्रदर्शनकारियों ने लंदन में 19 मार्च को भारतीय उच्चायोग परिसर में तोड़फोड़ की और तिरंगा उतारने का प्रयास किया. यह प्रदर्शन पंजाब पुलिस द्वारा खालिस्तान समर्थक अमृतपाल सिंह के खिलाफ पंजाब में कार्रवाई शुरू करने के एक दिन बाद हुआ था. 

गृह मंत्रालय की आतंकवाद रोधी और कट्टरता रोधी इकाई ने इस मामले को एनआईए को सौंप दिया था. केंद्रीय गृह सचिव अजय भल्ला द्वारा इस साल अप्रैल में ब्रिटिश सरकार के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ बैठक करने के बाद यह निर्णय लिया गया था.

लंदन की घटना में, भारतीय उच्चायोग के ऊपर फहराए गए तिरंगे को प्रदर्शनकारियों के एक समूह ने हटाने का प्रयास किया था. भारत ने नई दिल्ली स्थित ब्रिटिश उप उच्चायुक्त को तलब किया था और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था पूरी तरह नदारद रहने पर स्पष्टीकरण मांगा था.

अमरनाथ यात्रा : जमीन से लेकर आसमान तक रखी जाएगी नजर, 60 हजार जवान होंगे तैनात

अमरनाथ यात्रा को लेकर सुरक्षा तैयारियां शुरू हो गई हैं. 62 दिन की यात्रा के लिए लखनपुर बार्डर से लेकर पवित्र गुफा पर जमीन से लेकर आसमान तक से नजर रखी जा रही है. यात्रा को सफल बनाने के लिए हजारों जवानों की तैनाती की जाएगी. अमरनाथ यात्रा पर आतंकी हमले के अंदेशे को देखते हुए सुरक्षा बलों की तैनाती शुरू हो गई है. सीआरपीएफ, बीएसएफ, आईटीबीपी, सीआईएसएफ के अलावा जम्मू कश्मीर पुलिस और सेना के जवानों की तैनाती होगी. सबसे ज्यादा सीआरपीएफ के जवान तैनात होंगे. अकेले यात्रा के लिए ही करीब 60 हजार जवान तैनात किए जाएंगे.

अमरनाथ यात्रा के चप्पे चप्पे पर नजर रखने के लिए स्नाइपर और शार्प शूटर्स भी होंगे. खासकर यात्रा के काफिले पर ड्रोन से लेकर सेटेलाइट तक से निगरानी रखी जाएगी. 

जम्मू कश्मीर पुलिस के पूर्व डीजीपी एसपी वैद ने कहा कि हर बार की तरह इस बार भी सुरक्षा एजेंसियों के लिए अमरनाथ यात्रा काफी चुनौती से भरी होगी. श्रीनगर में जी-20 के मंत्री समूह की बैठक अभी-अभी खत्म हुई है. हम नहीं चाहते हैं कि जम्मू कश्मीर में अमरनाथ यात्रा के दौरान कोई बड़ा हादसा हो. आज जरूरत है कि सुरक्षा को पुख्ता तरीके से मजबूत किया जाए. इसमें चुनौती यह रहेगी कि यात्रियों के बीच कोई संदिग्ध ना घुस आ जाए,  इसके लिए आरएफआईडी कार्ड शो किया गया है, ताकि पहचान हो सके.

उन्‍होंने कहा कि सुरक्षा के घेरे में यात्रा का पूरा रूट रहेगा. हर रूट को प्रोटेक्ट किया जाएगा, सैनिटाइज किया जाएगा ताकि कहीं से किसी भी तरह का हमला ना हो सके. गाड़ियां जो यात्रा में शामिल रहेंगी उनकी सही तरीके से जांच करनी होगी. कश्मीर घाटी में इस दौरान जून से ही नजर रखी जाएगी और तालमेल पर खासा जोर होगा. 

जम्‍मू-श्रीनगर हाइवे पर खतरा ज्‍यादा 
सबसे ज़्यादा खतरा करीब 266 किलोमीटर लंबे जम्मू-श्रीनगर नेशनल हाइवे पर होता है जो आतंकी हमलों के निशाने पर रहता है.  यात्रा से पहले रोड ओपनिंग पार्टी की तैनाती बढ़ाई जा रही है. साथ में डॉग स्‍क्‍वॉड भी रहेगा. सुरक्षा का मुख्य जिम्मा सेना को सौंपा गया है, मगर अन्‍य बलों से तालमेल के साथ. 

NDRF ने की विशेष तैयारी 
यही नहीं, पिछली यात्रा के दौरान आई आपदा में 16 यात्रियों की मौत से सबक लेकर एनडीआरएफ ने विशेष तैयारी की है, जिसके तहत उन चोटियों पर नजर रखी जा रही है, जहां पानी का जमाव हो सकता है. एनडीआरएफ के डीजे अतुल करवाल के मुताबिक इंडिया रेस की टीम पहले से ज्यादा संख्या में तैनात होगी, पिछले एक साल में हमने इसे लेकर काफी ट्रेनिंग की है. जम्मू कश्मीर की जो माउंटेन इन की टीम है, उनके साथ हमने ट्रेनिंग की है. मेडिकल की ट्रेनिंग पहले से बेहतर है. उपकरण भी पहले से बेहतर है. 

7 टीमों में 210 जवान 
उन्‍होंने कहा कि हमारी कुल 7 टीमें जिसमें करीब 210 जवान होंगे. वह चंदनबाड़ी और बालटाल के रास्ते में तैनात होंगे. हम श्रीनगर और उधमपुर में भी दो टीमें रख रहे हैं, ताकि कहीं कोई दिक्कत होने पर इन टीमों को तुरंत तैनाती की जा सके. 

हथियार गिराने के मामले बढ़े
सुरक्षाबलों की चिंता इस नाते भी और बढ़ गई है कि हाल के साल में जम्मू कश्मीर में स्टिकी बम से हमले करने और ड्रोन से हथियार गिराने के मामले बढ़े हैं. अमरनाथ यात्रा का बड़ा हिस्सा दक्षिण कश्मीर से होकर गुजरता है जो आतंकियों का गढ़ रहा है.

AIADMK Talks Break-Up After Tamil Nadu BJP Chief's Dig At Jayalalithaa

The BJP's loss in Karnataka may soon be compounded with a break with its only ally in Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK. The southern ally, already miffed by the controversial comments of state BJP chief K Annamalai, has given an ultimatum to the party: "Rein him in, or else...".

Mr Annamalai, who divides his time equally between needling the DMK and AIADMK, has made a comment the ally finds it hard to overlook.

AIADMK icon former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, he tacitly indicated in an interview with an English daily, was convicted in a disproportionate assets case.  

The statement is factually incorrect. Although Jayalalithaa's aide Sasikala and a few others were ultimately convicted by the Supreme Court in a disproportionate assets case in which the former Chief Minister was the prime accused, Jayalalithaa died before the final verdict. So while the top court's verdict nullified the favourable verdict by the Karnataka High Court, it did not convict her technically.  

The remarks have incensed the AIADMK, which has said unless action is taken against Mr Annamalai, they will "rethink the alliance".

Senior party leader D Jayakumar said, "Annamalai is not qualified to be a state president of a party. He should mind his words. We suspect he doesn't want the alliance to continue nor does he want Prime Minister Modi to win again".

The state BJP chief often  raises doubts in the AIADMK camp whether the former IPS officer and the youngest-ever chief state BJP, is acting as the mouthpiece of the party's central leadership.

 In March, he had spoken against allying with the AIADMK for the 2024 election.

Senior AIADMK leaders, who formed the long-awaited alliance with the BJP after Jayalalithaa's death, are fuming. Jayalalithaa had not forged an alliance with the BJP for a long time despite friendly ties, considering the northern party a misfit in Dravidian politics.  

Now, with the alliance under its belt,  the BJP, which had negligible presence in the state,  is attempting to project itself as the key opposition, capitalising on the tussle between AIADMK's O Panneerselvam and Edappadi Palanisami, who had given green signal to the alliance.  

The AIADMK had also suffered four consecutive defeats in elections it fought with the BJP -- including Lok Sabha polls, assembly polls and local body polls.  

With the BJP being seen as an electoral liability, both parties did not even campaign together ahead of the recent Erode East by-poll both in which the AIADMK lost.  

Many say in an internal meet on Sunday, BJP chief strategist Amit Shah had set his party a target of 25 MP seats in the state, setting off suspicion in the AIADMK camp that the national party intends to contest 25 of the state's 39 seats.

महाराष्ट्र में तीर्थयात्रियों पर पुलिस का लाठीचार्ज, विपक्षी दलों ने सरकार पर बोला हमला

एक मंदिर की ओर जा रहे वारकरी भक्तों पर रविवार को महाराष्ट्र (Maharashtra) के पुणे जिले में पुलिस ने लाठीचार्ज किया. लाठीचार्ज की घटना को लेकर विपक्षी दलों ने सरकार पर हमला बोला है. जानकारी के अनुसार भगवान कृष्ण के एक रूप भगवान विठोबा के भक्तों के द्वारा निकाले गए जुलूस के दौरान श्रद्धालुओं की पुलिस से बहस हो गई जिसके बाद पुलिस की तरफ से लाठीचार्ज किया गया. विवाद की शुरुआत आलंदी में श्री क्षेत्र मंदिर में प्रवेश को लेकर हुआ.

घटना को लेकर पुलिस सूत्रों ने कहा कि श्रद्धालुओं की भारी संख्या को नियंत्रित करने के लिए उन्हें हल्का लाठीचार्ज करना पड़ा. पुलिस ने कहा कि परंपरा के अनुसार केवल 75 सदस्यों को परिसर में प्रवेश करने की अनुमति दी जाती है, लेकिन लगभग 400 लोग जबरन मंदिर में प्रवेश करने की कोशिश कर रहे थे जिसे प्रशासन की तरफ से रोका गया. 

पुलिस की कार्रवाई को लेकर विपक्षी दलों ने सरकार पर हमला बोला है. शिवसेना के वरिष्ठ सांसद संजय राउत ने ट्वीट किया है कि "ओह ओह.. हिंदुत्व सरकार के ढोंग का पर्दाफाश हो गया.. नकाब उतर गया.. औरंगजेब क्या अलग व्यवहार करता था? मुगलों का महाराष्ट्र में पुनर्जन्म हुआ है."

एनसीपी के छग्गन भुजबल ने ट्वीट किया, वारकरी संप्रदाय, वारकरी बंधुओं के प्रति सरकार की कोई जिम्मेदारी है या नहीं? उन्होंने लिखा श्री क्षेत्र आलंदी में जिस तरह से पुलिस ने वारकरी बंधुओं पर लाठियां बरसाईं, वह अत्यंत निंदनीय है. वारकरी संप्रदाय की नींव रखने वाले महान संत ज्ञानेश्वर महाराज के सान्निध्य में वारकरी बंधुओं का यह अपमान घोर निंदनीय है.

Bihar Municipal Polls: Women Win 458 Posts Including Mayor, Deputy Mayor

Women won 458 posts of ward councillors, mayor and and deputy mayor in the Bihar municipal polls, the results of which were declared by the State Election Commission on Sunday.

The Bihar State Election Commission (SEC) also declared 347 male candidates elected for different posts in 31 municipalities in 21 districts, elections for which were held on June 9.

The counting of votes for 31 municipal bodies in the state began at 8 am on Sunday, amid tight security arrangements. A total of 58 centres had been set up for counting of votes for 805 posts of ward councilors, mayor and deputy mayor.

The final result for the Bihar Nagar Nikay elections was declared by the SEC on Sunday evening.

In all, 4,431 candidates - 2,197 men and 2,234 women - contested the municipal elections in Bihar. Nine of them had already been declared elected unopposed.

The polling took place in Patna, Buxar, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Vaishali, Nalanda, Nawada, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, East Champaran, West Champaran, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Kishanganj, Munger, Lakhisarai, Saharsa, Jamui and Banka districts.

For the first time, the SEC used a Facial Recognition System (FRS) to confirm voters' identities.

Officials said the election in 31 urban local bodies includes 24 where the election was not held in the last urban polls held in December, and another seven whose five-year term is ending in June. This include Saharsa and Madhubani municipal corporations.

Besides, bypolls were held in seven wards in urban local bodies where elected representatives resigned in the last few months after the December urban elections.

"Kejriwal Effect": Raghav Chadha On Congress' Karnataka Poll Guarantees

Reacting to the Rahul Gandhi tweet that the Karnataka Government has fulfilled another guarantee after free bus travel for women came into effect, Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha on Sunday said that India's oldest party is taking notes from the country's youngest.

Raghav Chadha said that the schemes implemented by Congress in Karnataka were first introduced by Aam Aadmi Party as 'Kejriwal ki Guarantee'.

In this regard, Raghav Chadha took to Twitter and said, "The Kejriwal Effect. India's oldest political party is taking notes from India's youngest. 'Kejriwal ki Guarantee' was first introduced by AAP, and the scheme has now been implemented by Congress in Karnataka."

Earlier today Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that this step will empower the women and boost their savings.

"Free bus travel for every woman in Karnataka from today - Another guarantee fulfilled! Empowerment of women and economic savings - our responsibility, their right, Congress government will fulfil," Rahul Gandhi tweeted.

Earlier the five 'main' guarantees, which Congress promised to fulfil after coming to power in Karnataka, were 200 units of free power to all households (Gruha Jyoti); Rs 2,000 monthly assistance to the woman head of every family (Gruha Lakshmi); 10 kg of rice free to every member of a BPL household (Anna Bhagya); Rs 3,000 every month for unemployed graduate youth and Rs 1,500 for unemployed diploma holders (both in the age group of 18-25) for two years (Yuva Nidhi) and free travel for women in public transport buses (Uchita Prayana).

"No Special Scheme": MK Stalin's Party vs Amit Shah Over Fund Allocation

The ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu on Sunday questioned Union Home Minister Amit Shah's assertion on the Centre's initiatives for the state and said allocation of funds as stated by him was part of the government's "constitutional duty".

DMK Parliamentary Party leader TR Baalu claimed Mr Shah could not point out any "special schemes" as sought by his party president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin.

Responding to Mr Stalin's demand that Shah list out the Centre's special schemes for Tamil Nadu in the past nine years, the senior BJP leader at a public meeting in Vellore in Tamil Nadu detailed the various initiatives of the Narendra Modi-led Union government for the state in sectors including aviation, railways and roads.

He had also said devolution of central funds to Tamil Nadu has increased manifold during this period.

In a statement, Mr Baalu said Stalin's charge was that there had been no special schemes announced by the BJP-led NDA for Tamil Nadu in the last nine years. He claimed Mr Shah could not point out any such scheme.

"The fund allocation and subsidies pointed out by the Home Minister are the constitutional duty of the Union government towards the state government," he said.

Any government at the Centre has to give them to the states, Mr Baalu added.

BJP's Pankaja Munde's "Love Is Love" Answer To 'Love Jihad' Question

BJP leader Pankaja Munde on Sunday said that 'love jihad' (a right-wing conspiracy theory that Muslim men lure Hindu women to convert them) wasn't on the agenda of the central government.

Addressing a press conference in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, Ms Munde said, "...I believe love is love. Love believes in no barrier. If two people have come together purely out of love, it should be respected. However, if a woman is tricked into an interfaith marriage, it should be seen differently."

To a specific question on 'love jihad' during the press conference, the senior BJP leader said it has never been an agenda for the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"No such subject as 'love jihad' has even been on the agenda of the Modi government. The discussions are always centred on development and redevelopment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's focus is to put the country on the road to development and progress in the next 25 years," said Ms Munde.

However, on May 16, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said his government took a serious view of 'love jihad', 'religious conversion' and promotion of 'terrorist activities' and won't allow such practices in the state.

CM Chouhan made the remark while speaking to reporters on the recent action taken by the Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) against members associated with the radical Islamic organisation, Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HuT), in the state capital Bhopal.

"We are getting into the depth of the facts that have come to the fore in connection with the HuT members. What is clear is that we have taken the issue of love jihad, religious conversion and promotion of terrorist activities very seriously. I want to make it clear that neither love jihad nor the vicious cycle of religious conversion would be tolerated in the state," CM Chouhan said earlier.

He added, "Earlier, too, we had destroyed SIMI's (Students' Islamic Movement of India) network in the state and will not tolerate such activities at any cost. The investigation into the arrest of HuT members is underway. Madhya Pradesh ATS is working along with the central agencies in this regard."

Ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections last year, the BJP had promised to bring a law against 'love jihad'.

Meanwhile, underlining the key takeaways in 9 years of the central government under the leadership of PM Modi, Ms Munde said on Sunday these years have been marked by all-round development and welfare policies.
