Section 377: भारत में समलैंगिकता से जुड़ी धारा 377 को खत्म करने के मुद्दे पर मंगलवार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट में बहस हुई। याचिकाकर्ताओं की दलील है कि धारा 377 गैरकानूनी है और यह दो वयस्कों के बीच सहमति से संबध बनाने से रोकती है। याचिकाकर्ताओं की तरफ से पूर्व अटॉर्नी जनरल मुकुल रोहतगी पेश हुए। उन्होंने कहा- इस धारा से मानवाधिकारों का उल्लंघन होता है क्योंकि समलैंगिकता का मसला सिर्फ यौन संबंधों के प्रति झुकाव का है। इसका लिंग (जेंडर) से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है।   Updates - रोहतगी ने कहा- समलैंगिकता का मसला सिर्फ यौन संबंधों के प्रति झुकाव का है। जब समाज बदल रहा है तो मूल्य भी बदल रहे हैं। यानी जो 160 साल पहले नैतिकता थी, उसके आज कोई मायने नहीं हैं। - सरकार की तरफ से पेश हुए अतिरिक्त सॉलिसिटर जनरल तुषार मेहता ने कहा- वास्तव में धारा 377 कानूनी मसला है और हम इस पर चर्चा कर रहे हैं।  - याचिकाकर्ताओं की तरफ से पेश हुए एक और वकील अरविंद दातार ने कहा- अगर सेक्स को लेकर किसी का नजरिया अलग है तो इसे अपराध की तौर पर नहीं देखा जाना चाहिए। इसे प्रकृति के खिलाफ भी नहीं समझा जाना...

समलैंगिकता मामले में मंगलवार से सुप्रीम कोर्ट में सुनवाई होगी। आईपीसी की धारा 377 में दो समलैंगिक वयस्कों के बीच सहमति से शारीरिक संबंधों को अपराध माना गया है और सजा का प्रावधान है। दायर याचिकाओं में इसे चुनौती दी गई है। वहीं, सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने समलैंगिकता मामले में सुनवाई टालने के केंद्र सरकार के अनुरोध को सोमवार को ठुकरा दिया। चीफ जस्टिस दीपक मिश्रा की अध्यक्षता वाली 5 जजों की संविधान पीठ ने कहा, इसे स्थगित नहीं किया जाएगा। जब एडिशनल सॉलिसिटर जनरल तुषार मेहता केंद्र सरकार की तरफ से पैरवी कर रहे हैं तो वे इस अहम मामले को टालना क्यों चाहते हैं।

मुंबई में लगातार चौथे दिन भारी बारिश, बोरीवली में तीन मकान गिरे; शिक्षा मंत्री का स्कूल की छुट्टी से इनकार

मुंबई, पालघर, ठाणे और नवी मुंबई में पिछले चार दिन से बारिश हो रही है। मुंबई में मंगलवार सुबह हिंदमाता, कोलाबा, माटुंगा, दादर, सांताक्रूज और सायन के कई इलाकों में पानी भर गया। नाला सोपारा रेलवे स्टेशन के ट्रैक पर लगातार दूसरे दिन पानी भरने से वेस्टर्न रेलवे लाइन पर ट्रेनों की आवाजाही पर असर पड़ा। बोरीवली-चर्चगेट, सेंट्रल लाइन और हार्बर लाइन पर ट्रेनें 15 से 20 मिनट की देरी से चलीं। बोरीवली में तीन घरों का बड़ा हिस्सा गिर गया। उधर, शिक्षा मंत्री विनोद तावड़े ने कहा कि मुंबई में सभी सरकारी स्कूल खुले रहेंगे।

टीवी सीरियल ‘तारक मेहता का उल्टा चश्मा’ के हंसमुख और वजनदार कलाकार डॉक्टर हंसराज हाथी यानी कवि कुमार आजाद का सोमवार सुबह दिल का दौरा पड़ने से निधन हो गया। कवि कुमार आजाद 46 साल के थे। आजाद मूल रूप से बिहार के सासाराम जिले के रहने वाले थे लेकिन कुछ साल से मुंबई में ही सैटल हो गए थे। तारक मेहता का उल्टा चश्मा का अपना ट्विटर हैंडल है और शो से जुड़े लोगों ने डॉक्टर हाथी को इस पर श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की है। लेकिन, दूसरी तरफ उनके चाहने वाले हैं। इन आम दर्शकों में से कुछ ने हाथी को उनके ही कई बार बोले गए डायलॉग या कहें तकिया कलाम के जरिए याद किया। इन लोगों ने भी कहा- ये सही बात नहीं है भाई........

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने ताजमहल परिसर में मौजूद मस्जिद में नमाज अदा करने से इनकार कर दिया। सोमवार को शीर्ष कोर्ट ने कहा कि ताजमहल दुनिया के 7 अजूबों में से एक है। लिहाजा लोगों को ये ध्यान रखना चाहिए कि वहां नमाज न पढ़ी जाए। इसके अलावा भी अन्य कई मस्जिदों में लोग नमाज पढ़ सकते हैं। इससे पहले आगरा प्रशासन ने ताजमहल परिसर में स्थित एक मस्जिद में नमाज अदा करने पर रोक लगाई थी। इसी फैसले के खिलाफ सुप्रीम कोर्ट में याचिका दायर की गई थी।

निर्भया केस: दोषियों की फांसी की सजा बरकरार रहेगी? सुप्रीम कोर्ट आज सुना सकता है फैसला

निर्भया सामूहिक दुष्कर्म मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट सोमवार को 4 दोषियों की फांसी की सजा पर दायर पुनर्विचार याचिका पर फैसला सुना सकता है। चार में से तीन दोषियों मुकेश सिंह (29), पवन गुप्ता (22) और विनय शर्मा (23) ने पुनर्विचार याचिका दायर की थी। चौथा दोषी अक्षय कुमार सिंह (31) ने याचिका दायर नहीं की। 16 दिसंबर, 2012 की रात चलती बस में हुए दुष्कर्म मामले में दुष्कर्मियों की फांसी पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 5 मई, 2017 को मुहर लगा दी थी।

उत्तरप्रदेश के गैंगस्टर प्रेम प्रकाश उर्फ मुन्ना बजरंगी की सोमवार को बागपत जेल में गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई। पूर्व बसपा विधायक लोकेश दीक्षित से रंगदारी मांगने के आरोप में पेशी के लिए बजरंगी को झांसी से बागपत लाया गया था। बजरंगी पर हत्या और रंगदारी के कई मामले दर्ज थे। जिला जेल में जब गिनती हुई, तब पता लगा कि बजरंगी की हत्या हो चुकी है। बजरंगी भाजपा विधायक कृष्णानंद राय की हत्या में भी आरोपी था।
