मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने उत्तर प्रदेश लोक सेवा आयोग द्वारा 11 फरवरी 2024 को आयोजित समीक्षा अधिकारी/सहायक समीक्षा अधिकारी (प्रारम्भिक) परीक्षा, 2023 की शनिवार को समीक्षा की गई. इस परीक्षा में कथित रूप से प्रश्न पत्र के कतिपय प्रश्नों के सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल होने के शिकायतें प्राप्त हुई थीं, मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने समीक्षा के बाद परीक्षा को रद्द करने का आदेश दिया है.  सरकार को उपलब्ध कराए गये साक्ष्यों तथा आयोग द्वारा उपलब्ध रिपोर्ट के आधार पर मुख्यमंत्री द्वारा यह निर्देश दिया गया है कि लोक सेवा आयोग द्वारा 11 फरवरी को आयोजित समीक्षा अधिकारी / सहायक समीक्षा अधिकारी (प्रारम्भिक) परीक्षा 2023 की दोनों सत्रों की परीक्षाओं को निरस्त कर दिया जाए. इसकी परीक्षा आगामी 06 माह में पुनः कराई जाए.  मुख्यमंत्री ने यह भी निर्देश दिया है कि इस प्रकार के आपराधिक कृत्य में सम्मिलित व्यक्तियों को चिन्हित कर उनके खिलाफ कड़ी वैधानिक व दण्डात्मक कार्यवाही करने हेतु यह प्रकरण राज्य की एसटीएफ को संदर्भित कर दिया जाए. एस.टी.एफ. शीघ्रातिशीघ्र इसकी विवेचना संपन्न करेगी तथा इस कृत्य में लिप्त...

A day after his advertisement related to ISRO's new launch complex in Tamil Nadu caused a row for featuring a 'Chinese flag', DMK leader and Fisheries Minister Anitha R Radhakrishnan on Thursday said it was a gaffe by the designer. The minister stressed that it was only a mistake and they (DMK) had no other intentions. "A small mistake happened in the advertisement. We have no other intention. Four workers were killed in a landslide in an iron ore mine area in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district on Tuesday, police said. The incident occurred around 3 pm in the area under Kirandul police station limits, allotted to the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) for mining, an official said. Two other workers were injured in the incident, as per the plant management. Actual mining is yet to start in the area. Fourteen workers were engaged in the construction of a retaining wall as part of the Screening Plant-3 extension project of the NMDC, said Dantewada Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai. A portion of a big rock caved in, trapping four of them. Police and State Disaster Response Force personnel launched a rescue operation and recovered the bodies of two workers initially, while two more bodies were recovered late in the evening, the official said. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested 16 persons for "conspiring and carrying out a communal attack" during a Ram Navami procession in West Bengal last year, an official said on Monday. The arrests have been made on the basis of revelations that came to light during the probe, and the identification of the accused from video footage of the violence seized in the course of the investigations, a spokesperson of the federal agency said. The incident had taken place on March 30 last year during a procession to celebrate Ram Navami in Dalkhola in Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal. "The accused were among the perpetrators of the attack on members of a particular community participating in the procession," the spokesperson said, terming their arrest as a "major breakthrough".
