शरद पवार से मिले उद्धव ठाकरे और संजय राउत

शिवसेना प्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरे और पार्टी के नेता संजय राउत मंगलवार को NCP प्रमुख शरद पवार से मिले. इस दौरान उन्होंने विभिन्न मुद्दों पर बात की. तीन नेताओं के बीच हुई यह बैठक डेढ़ घंटे चली. हालांकि, अभी तक ये साफ नहीं है कि इस बैठक में तीनों नेताओं के बीच किस मुद्दे पर बात हुई. बता दें कि शरद पवार ने पिछले सप्ताह NDTV  को दिए एक इंटरव्यू में हिंडनबर्ग रिपोर्ट पर बात करते हुए उसकी विश्वसनियता पर प्रश्न चिन्ह खड़ा किया था. उन्होंने कहा था कि यह कौन सी कंपनी है इसका नाम तक पहले नहीं सुना है. 

शरद पवार ने रविवार को कहा था कि आज देश के सामने डिग्री का सवाल है क्या ? आपकी डिग्री क्या है? मेरी डिग्री क्या है? क्या ये राजनीतिक मुद्दा है? बेरोजगारी, कानून व्यवस्था और महंगाई जैसे अहम मुद्दों पर केंद्र सरकार से सवाल पूछे जाने चाहिए. ये मुद्दे ही असल मुद्दे हैं. आज धर्म जाति के नाम पर लोगों में दूरियां पैदा की जा रही हैं, महाराष्ट्र में आज बेमौसम बरसात की वजह से फसलें बर्बाद हो गईं, इसपर चर्चा जरूरी है.

Punjab Ex Chief Minister Summoned In Disproportionate Assets Case: Report

The Punjab Vigilance Bureau has summoned former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi for questioning in an alleged disproportionate assets case on Wednesday, official sources said.

The Congress leader has been asked to appear for questioning at the bureau's office in Mohali, they said.

It is for the first time that Mr Channi has been summoned for questioning in the case.

The bureau has been probing allegations that Mr Channi amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Last month, it issued a look-out circular against Mr Channi to prevent him from leaving the country.

Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring accused the AAP government of "choosing to resort to its last weapon, the vigilance bureau" in the face of a "humiliating defeat" in the Jalandhar Lok Sabha bypoll.

Mr Warring said Mr Channi has seen "bigger threats" than a probe and he will come out stronger.

"Facing certain & humiliating defeat in Jalandhar by-poll @AAPPunjab chooses to resort to its last weapon, the vigilance bureau. @CHARANJITCHANNI has faced bigger threats than an enquiry & I am sure he will come out stronger," said Mr Warring in a tweet.

Later in a statement, Warring alleged that the AAP government is "anti-Dalit" and is acting on a "design to target and harass Dalit leaders".

"Be it Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, and now Charanjit Singh Channi, this regime has nothing to show against them and is just satisfying its ego to punish Dalit population who did not vote for AAP," Warring alleged.

The polling for the Jalandhar parliamentary seat will take place on May 10 while the counting will be held on May 13.

The bypoll was necessitated due to the death of Congress MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary in January at the age of 76. 

He died after suffering a cardiac arrest during the party's Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jalandhar's Phillaur

राष्ट्रीय पार्टी का दर्जा छिनने को लेकर चुनाव आयोग से अपील करेगी TMC

तृणमूल कांग्रेस (TMC) से राष्ट्रीय पार्टी का दर्जा छिनने को लेकर चुनाव आयोग में अपील करने की तैयारी में है. TMC आयोग से अपने इस फैसले पर पुनर्विचार करने की अपील करने की तैयारी में है. TMC के एक बड़े नेता ने कहा कि हम यह कानूनी विकल्प तलाशने से पहले करेंगे. इसे लेकर हम जल्द ही निर्वाचन आयोग के पास अपील भी करेंगे. 

उधर, निर्वाचन आयोग के सूत्रों के अनुसार आयोग ने उचित प्रक्रिया का पालन करते हुए टीएमसी और अन्य दो दलों का राष्ट्रीय पार्टी का दर्जा वापस लिया है. आयोग ने कहा कि उसने इससे पहले दलों को दो संसदीय चुनावों और 21 राज्य विधानसभा चुनावों का पर्याप्त अवसर प्रदान किया.

गौरतलब है कि बीते सोमवार शाम को आयोग ने इसकी औपचारिक घोषणा करते हुए ये भी बताया कि अब TMC, NCP और CPI जैसी पार्टियां राष्ट्रीय पार्टियां नहीं रही हैं. आयोग ने यूपी में राष्ट्रीय लोक दल (RLD) , आंध्र प्रदेश में भारत राष्ट्र समिति (BRS), मणिपुर में पीप्ल्स डेमोक्रेटिक एलायन्स, पुडुचेरी में पीएमके, पश्चिम बंगाल में आरएसपी, और मिजोरम में एमपीसी पार्टी से क्षेत्रिय पार्टी होने का दर्जा वापस लेने की भी घोषणा की है. 

चुनाव आयोग के मुताबिक किसी भी पार्टी को तभी राष्ट्रीय पार्टी का दर्जा मिलता है जब वो इन तीन प्रमुख शर्तों को पूरा करती हैं...

1. अगर कोई पार्टी 4 लोकसभा सीट के अलावा लोकसभा चुनाव या विधानसभा चुनाव में 4 राज्यों में छह फीसदी वोट शेयर हासिल करती है तो उसे भी ये दर्जा मिल सकता है.
2. एक पार्टी को लोकसभा में कुल सीटों का कम से कम 2 प्रतिशत जीतना चाहिए. पार्टी के उम्मीदवारों को कम से कम तीन राज्यों से निर्वाचित होना चाहिए था.
3. अगर किसी दल को 4 राज्यों में क्षेत्रीय दल का दर्जा हासिल हो तो उसे राष्ट्रीय पार्टी का दर्जा दिया जा सकता है. 

पहले देश में कुल सात राष्ट्रीय पार्टियां थीं - टीएमसी, बीएसपी, बीजेपी, सीपीआई, सीपीआई (एम), कांग्रेस और एनसीपी. लेकिन सोमवार को चुनाव आयोग की घोषणा के बाद अब इस सूची से टीएमसी, एनसीपी और सीपीआई को हटाकर आम आदमी पार्टी को शामिल कर लिया गया है. अब देश में कुल पांच ही राष्ट्रीय पार्टियां हैं.

Man's Body Found Inside Suitcase In Haryana; Hands, Legs Were Tied: Police

The body of an unidentified man was found stuffed inside a suitcase on the roadside here on Tuesday afternoon, police said. Information about a suspicious suitcase lying on the roadside of sector 28-29 bypass was received at around 1 pm, they said.

Upon inspecting the luggage, police found that the half-naked body of a man was wrapped in a polythene bag with his hands and legs tied with a plastic rope, they said.

The man seems to be around 28 to 30 years old, they said.

No documents were found inside the suitcase for the man's identification, a senior police officer, adding efforts are being made to identify him.

The Crime Branch team has started the investigation, the officer said.

The body has been sent to the mortuary and an FIR has been registered in the matter at sector 31 police station, police said.

"Shouldn't Always Praise Government": Congress Hits Back At Vice President

The Congress on Monday hit back at Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar over his remarks that people should leave their "political spectacle" behind while embarking on a foreign visit, saying the Rajya Sabha chairman should be impartial and not always praise the government.

Speaking at a World Homeopathy Day function here, Mr Dhankhar said as India lays the foundation for the centenary of its independence in 2047, every attempt that seeks to attack the country's dignity should be blunted.

He said people should leave their "political spectacle" behind while embarking on a foreign visit, in an apparent reference to a row over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's remarks made during a recent visit to the United Kingdom.

Responding to Vice President Dhankhar's tweet advising that people should leave their "political spectacle" behind while embarking on a foreign visit, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said in a tweet in Hindi, "First you give this advice to those who started this practice in 2015. Then give a sermon (to others)."

"Second thing, Mr. Chairman should be impartial, and should not always praise the government," Mr Ramesh said.

In his remarks on Monday, Mr Dhankhar said, "Have you ever noticed a foreign dignitary or foreign national on a visit to this great democracy decrying or criticising his nation? The answer is an obvious no. Why cannot we take pride in our scientists, health warriors and compliment our innovation?" "Whenever we travel out of the country, we should leave our political spectacle behind. This will be beneficial for the country as well as the individual," he added.

3 Women Killed In Road Accident In Assam

At least 3 women were killed in a road accident on Monday after a speeding car reportedly ran over them in Assam's Dibrugarh. The victims, who were working as garden labourers, have been identified as Rita Bhakta, Sunita Bedia and Mina Bedia.

After the incident, angry locals set a police vehicle ablaze and also blocked the road for hours.

Following this, Police opened fire in the air to disperse the mob.

No casualties were reported during the police firing.

"The swift Dzire ran over three women when they were passing through the bypass. The swift Dzire was overseeing and due to that the accident took place," police said in statement.

"भारत को साथ लाना महत्वपूर्ण" : यूक्रेन की प्रथम उप विदेश मंत्री ने कहा

यूक्रेन की प्रथम उप विदेश मंत्री एमिन जापारोवा ने सोमवार को कहा कि भारत वैश्विक नेता है और महत्वपूर्ण वैश्विक चुनौतियों से निपटने और शांति को बढ़ावा देने में मदद कर सकता है. उन्होंने पिछले वर्ष सितंबर में रूसी राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन के साथ बैठक के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की टिप्पणी को भी उद्धृत किया कि आज का युग युद्ध का नहीं है. जापारोवा ने सोमवार को विदेश मंत्रालय में सचिव (पश्चिम) संजय वर्मा से द्विपक्षीय सम्पर्क और सहयोग को आगे बढ़ाने के बारे में चर्चा की तथा आपसी हितों से जुड़े वैश्विक मुद्दों पर अपने विचार साझा किये.

जापारोवा ने बताया कि उन्होंने बिना उकसावे के रूस के आक्रमण से मुकाबला करने के यूक्रेन के प्रयासों के बारे में भारतीय पक्ष को जानकारी दी और यूक्रेन के नेता वोलोदिमीर जेलेंस्की के शांति फार्मूले और अनाज पहल में शामिल होने के लिए भारत को आमंत्रित किया. उन्होंने कहा कि भारत को साथ लेना महत्वपूर्ण है. इसके साथ ही उन्होंने कहा कि यूक्रेन किसी दूसरे देश के साथ आर्थिक संबंधों को लेकर भारत को निर्देश देने की स्थिति में नहीं है.

इसे नयी दिल्ली और मास्को के बीच ऊर्जा संबंधों के परोक्ष संदर्भ में देखा जा रहा है. जापारोवा चार दिवसीय यात्रा पर भारत में हैं. जापारोवा की यह यात्रा पिछले वर्ष 24 फरवरी को रूसी आक्रमण शुरू होने के बाद यूक्रेन से पहली ऐसी यात्रा है. वर्मा के साथ बैठक के बाद जापारोवा ने संवाददाताओं से बातचीत में भारत को एक वैश्विक नेता और विश्वगुरू बताया जो वैश्विक चुनौतियों से निपटने में भूमिका निभा सकता है.

उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘ मैं समझती हूं कि भारत वैश्विक स्थान रखता है. यह दुनिया में वास्तव में विश्वगुरू है. हम वास्तव में मूल्यों के लिए संघर्ष करते हुए कष्ट सह रहे हैं. यह न्याय के लिए है.'' उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘ रूस मेरे देश के अस्तित्व पर सवाल उठा रहा है. 1500 वर्षो के इतिहास में यूक्रेन ने कभी किसी दूसरे देश पर हमला नहीं किया.'' उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘ हमारा कभी भी पड़ोसियों के प्रति साम्राज्यवादी व्यवहार नहीं रहा. हम बिना किसी उकसावे के नव औपनिवेशिक युद्ध के पीड़ित हैं.''

जापारोवा ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की यूक्रेन यात्रा के लिए पहले से ही निमंत्रण है और यूक्रेन के राष्ट्रपति भी भारतीय नेता को आमंत्रित करेंगे. रूस के साथ भारत के आर्थिक संबंधों के बारे में पूछे जाने पर यूक्रेन की उप विदेश मंत्री ने कहा, ‘‘ हम किसी दूसरे देश के साथ आर्थिक संबंधों को लेकर भारत को निर्देश देने की स्थिति में नहीं है. '' उन्होंने कहा कि वह समझती हैं कि भारत को ऊर्जा संसाधनों, सैन्य अनुबंधों और राजनीतिक संवादों के विविधीकरण को लेकर व्यवहारिक होना चाहिए.

संजय वर्मा ने जापारोवा के साथ बैठक पर ट्वीट किया, ‘‘ यूक्रेन की उप विदेश मंत्री एमिन जापारोवा का स्वागत करते हुए प्रसन्नता हो रही है. हमने अपने अपने विचार साझा किए. '' उन्होंने कहा कि हमने आगे बढ़ते हुए द्विपक्षीय सम्पर्क और सहयोग के बारे में चर्चा की. वहीं, जापारोवा ने अपने ट्वीट में कहा कि विदेश मंत्रालय में सचिव (पश्चिम) संजय वर्मा से नयी दिल्ली में चर्चा की और बिना उकसावे के आक्रमण से निटपने के यूक्रेन के प्रयासों की जानकारी दी.

इससे पहले, भारत आने पर जापारोवा ने ट्वीट किया कि भारत की यात्रा पर आकर प्रसन्न हूं, यह ऐसी धरती है जिसने अनेक संतों, साधुओं और गुरूओं को जन्म दिया. जापारोवा 12 अप्रैल तक भारत की आधिकारिक यात्रा पर हैं. जापारोवा का विदेश राज्य मंत्री एवं संस्कृति राज्य मंत्री मीनाक्षी लेखी से भी मुलाकात करने का कार्यक्रम है. वे उप राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार विक्रम मिस्री से भी मुलाकात करेंगी.

पिछले साल फरवरी में रूस-यूक्रेन संघर्ष शुरू होने के बाद प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने रूसी राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन के साथ ही यूक्रेन के नेता वोलोदिमीर जेलेंस्की से कई बार बातचीत की है. हालांकि, भारत ने अभी तक यूक्रेन पर रूसी आक्रमण की निंदा नहीं की है. भारत का कहना है कि इस संकट को कूटनीति और बातचीत के माध्यम से हल किया जाना चाहिए.विदेश मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि भारत यूक्रेन के साथ मधुर और मैत्रीपूर्ण संबंध और बहुमुखी सहयोग साझा करता है. मंत्रालय ने अपने बयान में कहा था, 'कूटनीतिक संबंध स्थापित होने के 30 वर्ष के दौरान दोनों देशों के द्विपक्षीय सहयोग ने व्यापार, शिक्षा, संस्कृति और रक्षा क्षेत्रों में महत्वपूर्ण प्रगति की है. यह यात्रा आपसी समझ और हितों को आगे बढ़ाने का एक अवसर होगी.''
