A 23-year-old married woman from Maharashtra's Palghar district, allegedly kidnapped and married off to another man in Rajasthan for Rs 2 lakh, has been rescued, police here said on Friday.
One person has been arrested in the case while police were on the look-out for four others, said an official of the Arnala Sagari police station.
One of the accused befriended the woman on Instagram some time ago and promised to get her a job with the police department, the official said.

दक्षिणी दिल्ली के पूर्वी किदवई नगर इलाके में कोस्ट गार्ड कमांडेंट की पत्नी ने फांसी लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली. उनके बच्चों ने पुलिस को फोन कर मामले की सूचना दी. मृतका के पति की दिल्ली के आईसीजी मुख्यालय में तैनाती है. घटना के वक्त वह ड्यूटी पर थे. पुलिस ने लाश को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेजा है. कमरे से मिले सुसाइड नोट में मौत के लिए किसी को जिम्मेदार नहीं ठहराया गया है.

Nagaland's Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), the dominant regional power ruling the state in alliance with the BJP, announced its list of 40 candidates today. The list excludes 15 sitting MLAs. The BJP, which is contesting in 20 seats, also dropped a sitting MLA.

An unidentified man on Thursday drove away with a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus from Latur and abandoned it in a village some 14 kilometres away in neighbouring Karnataka, a police official said.
