Former Odisha MLA Ramamurthy Gomango was convicted on Saturday by a special court of the murder of his wife, which happened 27 years ago. The special MP/MLA court in Bhubaneswar held Gomango guilty under IPC Section 302 (murder) on the basis of the statements of 11 witnesses and 15 documents. He was also found guilty of destroying evidence under IPC Section 201. The sentence will be pronounced on Tuesday, public prosecutor Rashmi Ranjan Brahma told reporters. The half-burnt body of Sashirekha Gomango was found in the bathroom of the MLA's official residence in Bhubaneswar on September 28, 1995. She was pregnant at the time of her death, according to the police. Amid confusion over the Congress' stance on the Centre's Delhi ordinance, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal told Rahul Gandhi to forget the differences and move forward together at the opposition meeting in Patna, AAP sources said on Saturday. "Arvind Kejriwal spoke directly to Rahul Gandhi (on the ordinance matter) and said if there is any issue, they can resolve it over tea. In the opposition meeting on Friday, Kejriwal said there is a need to forget the differences and move forward together," a party source said. उत्तर प्रदेश बोर्ड ने अपने पाठ्यक्रम में अहम बदलाव किया है. बोर्ड ने फैसला किया है कि अब से छात्रों को सावरकर समेत 50 महापुरुषों की जीवन गाथा से रूबरू कराया जाएगा. बोर्ड की तरफ से जिन महापुरुषों की जीवन गाथा को पाठ्यक्रम में शामिल करने का फैसला किया गया है उनमें खास तौर पर विनायक दामोदर सावरकर, पंडित दीनदयान उपाध्याय, महावीर जैन, भारत रत्न पंडित मदन मोहन मालवीय, अरविंद घोष, राजा राम मोहन राय, सरोजनी नायडू और नाना साहब शामिल हैं.  बोर्ड ने इन महापुरुषों की जीवन गाथा को नैतिक, योग, खेल एवं शारीरिक शिक्षा विषय में शामिल किया गया है. मिल रही जानकारी के अनुसार जुलाई से स्कूलों में शुरू होने वाले पाठ्यक्रम में इस नए बदलाव को शामिल किया गया है. पाठ्यक्रम में जोड़े गए नए विषय सभी स्कूलों के लिए अनिवार्य किए गए हैं. लिहाजा, अब छात्रों को इन विषय में भी पास होना जरूरी है. हालांकि इसके अंक हाईस्कूल और इंटरमीडिएट के अंकपत्र में शामिल नहीं होंगे.  बता दें कि इन महापुरुषों के नाम को पाठ्यक्रम में शामिल करने को लेकर यूपी बोर्ड में लंबे समय से कवायद चल रही थी. यूपी बोर्ड के विषय विशेषज्ञों ...

Union minister and BJP leader Anurag Thakur took a swipe at the opposition parties' meeting in Patna on Friday, saying a key resolution adopted by the leaders was about the marriage of Rahul Gandhi "much to the annoyance of mummy ji". Anurag Thakur described the meeting as a "drama" that was being staged ahead of the Lok Sabha elections next year and exuded confidence about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's third consecutive victory.
