जम्मू-कश्मीर और लद्दाख के कुछ हिस्सों में शनिवार रात भूकंप के झटके महसूस किए गए हैं. मिल रही जानकारी के अनुसार भूकंप के झटके रात पौने दस बजे महसूस किए गए हैं. रिक्टर स्केल पर भूकंप की तीव्रता 4.4 से 4.5 आंकी गई है. जम्मू-कश्मीर में डोडा में झटके महसूस किए गए. भूकंप की वजह से अभी तक जान और माल का कोई नुकसान नहीं हुआ है. भूकंप के झटके महसूस होने के बाद स्थानीय लोग अपने घर से बाहर आ गए. खास बात ये है कि 35 मिनट के अंदर भूकंप के झटके दो बार महसूस किए गए हैं. बार-बार महसूस किए जा रहे भूकंप के झटकों की वजह से स्थानीय लोगों में डर का माहौल है.  बता दें कि लद्दाख में पिछले गुरुवार को भी भूकंप के झटके महसूस किए गए थे. उस दौरान भूकंप की तीव्रता 3.2 आंकी गई थी. प्रशासन से मिली जानकारी के उस दौरान किसी के हताहत होने की कोई सूचना नहीं थी. जबकि उस दौरान भूकंप की गहराई जमीन से 10 किलोमीटर पाई गई थी.    from NDTV India - Latest https://ift.tt/8mPDREo via IFTTT

The first batch of Agniveers of the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) were attested in a befitting ceremony in Srinagar on Saturday, a defence spokesperson said. The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) has awarded the DMRC a 10-year contract to operate and maintain its underground Line-3 after the Delhi Metro emerged as the lowest bidder in the tendering process, officials said on Friday. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 33.5 km-long Line-3 with 27 stations, including management of operation control centre, depot control centre, stations, running trains, maintenance of trains and all metro systems infrastructure and ensuring the safety of passengers, the Delhi Metro said in a statement here. The Mumbai Metro Line-3, which is being constructed by the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA), is expected to be operationalised in parts from the end of this year onwards. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday divested senior minister Manas Ranjan Bhunia of the Environment portfolio and took over the charge of the department, a senior official said. Mr Bhunia will, however, continue to hold the portfolio of Water Resources Investigation and Development, the official said. Ms Banerjee will now be looking after nine departments, including the Home and the Environment department. Parts of Delhi, including Dwarka, received rainfall on Wednesday, despite there being no forecast for rains for the day. Delhiites are expected to get some relief from the punishing heat in the next few days with light rains and thundershowers in the offing, the weather office said. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 36 degrees Celsius and 39 degrees Celsius till June 20, it said. Delhi sweated under scorching heat on Wednesday with the maximum temperature settling at 40.9 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average, and the minimum temperature being recorded at 29.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal. The humidity levels oscillated between 43 per cent and 57 per cent throughout the day. The India Meteorological Department has forecast a partly cloudy sky for Thursday with the possibility of very light rain or thundershowers towards evening at one or two places.
