जयपुर में सरकार के योजना भवन के तहखाने में एक अलमारी से 2.31 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की नकदी और एक किलो सोना बरामद किया गया है. पुलिस ने इस संबंध में योजना भवन के सात कर्मचारियों को हिरासत में लिया है जिनकी तहखाने (बेसमेंट) तक पहुंच थी और वहां के सीसीटीवी फुटेज भी खंगाले जा रहे हैं. प्राप्त जानकारी के मुताबिक, इस अलमारी में रखे सूटकेस में 2000 और 500 रुपये के नोट थे. यह जब्ती शुक्रवार को उस समय की गई जब भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने 2000 रुपये के नोटों को चलन से वापस लेने की घोषणा की. विपक्षी भारतीय जनता पार्टी (BJP) ने इस मुद्दे को लेकर कांग्रेस सरकार पर निशाना साधा है. अधिकारियों के अनुसार, पूरे मामले की जानकारी मुख्यमंत्री को दी गई, जिसके बाद मुख्य सचिव उषा शर्मा, पुलिस महानिदेशक (DGP) उमेश मिश्रा और जयपुर के पुलिस आयुक्‍त आनंद श्रीवास्तव ने शुक्रवार देर रात सचिवालय में संयुक्त प्रेस वार्ता की. श्रीवास्‍तव ने कहा, ‘‘जिस तहखाने से नकदी और सोना मिला है, वहां ई-फाइलिंग परियोजना के तहत फाइलों को स्कैन और उनका डिजीटलीकरण किया जा रहा है. दो अलमारी में ताला लगा था, उनकी चाभी नहीं मिली. जब चाभियां...

A 26-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her neighbour in Jharkhand's Palamu district, police said on Saturday. The incident happened on Tuesday, but the complaint was filed on Saturday as the local panchayat was allegedly preventing the woman and her husband from going to the police station because the accused is the brother-in-law of the 'mukhiya' or village head, they said. The accused, a 36-year-old man, took the woman's husband to a programme on Tuesday night and returned to the village a while later alone, leaving him there. On returning to the village, he went to the woman's house, gagged her and took her to an isolated place, where he allegedly raped her, police said. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, pointing out the adverse effects on health of excessive use of fertilisers, on Friday stressed the use of natural and organic farming. दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय ने शुक्रवार को राष्ट्रीय विधि विश्वविद्यालयों के समूह से पूछा कि जब मेडिकल और इंजीनियरिंग पाठ्यक्रमों के लिए प्रवेश परीक्षाएं क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं में आयोजित की जा सकती हैं तो साझा विधि प्रवेश परीक्षा (सीएलएटी) क्यों नहीं, जो अंग्रेजी में आयोजित की जाती है. उच्च न्यायालय ने सीएलएटी-2024 को न केवल अंग्रेजी बल्कि क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं में भी आयोजित कराने के अनुरोधी वाली याचिका पर अपनी प्रतिक्रिया दाखिल करने के लिए समूह को चार सप्ताह का समय दिया.  मुख्य न्यायाधीश सतीश चंद्र शर्मा और न्यायमूर्ति सुब्रमण्यम प्रसाद की पीठ ने कहा कि ऐसे विशेषज्ञ हैं जो राष्ट्रीय पात्रता व प्रवेश परीक्षा (नीट) के प्रश्नपत्रों का क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं में अनुवाद करते हैं, फिर ‘‘हम इन प्रश्नपत्रों (सीएलएटी) का क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं में अनुवाद क्यों नहीं करवा सकते?'' पीठ ने कहा, "अगर चिकित्सा शिक्षा हिंदी में पढ़ाई जा सकती है, अगर एमबीबीएस की प्रवेश परीक्षा हिंदी में हो सकती है, जेईई हिंदी में हो सकती है, तो आप किस बारे में बात कर रहे हैं." पीठ ने कहा कि ऑल इंडिया बार परीक्षा (एआईबीई) भी हिं...
