मुंबई के प्रसिद्ध माहिम चर्च से जुड़े एक कब्रिस्तान में 18 'क्रॉस' तोड़ने के आरोप में 22-वर्षीय एक व्यक्ति को रविवार को नवी मुंबई से गिरफ्तार किया गया. पुलिस ने यह जानकारी दी. पुलिस के एक अधिकारी ने कहा कि इस कृत्य के पीछे की मंशा की जांच की जा रही है. मुंबई के उपनगरीय माहिम में शनिवार सुबह सेंट माइकल चर्च के कब्रिस्तान में कथित रूप से 'क्रॉस' तोड़ने के बाद आरोपी कुछ देर चर्च में बैठा रहा. आरोपी युवक अपने चाचा की दुकान में काम करता है. उसे विशेष टीम द्वारा तकनीकी विश्लेषण के माध्यम से नवी मुंबई के कलमबोली से गिरफ्तार किया गया. उसकी तस्वीर भी सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हुई थी. पुलिस अधिकारी ने कहा, ‘‘जांच के दौरान कुछ ऐसी बातें सामने आई हैं जिन्हें साझा नहीं किया जा सकता, क्योंकि यह मामला एक धार्मिक स्थान से जुड़ा हुआ है.'' पुलिस ने इस घटना के सिलसिले में भारतीय दंड संहिता की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत प्राथमिकी दर्ज की थी. पुलिस इस मामले की विस्तृत जांच कर रही है. ये भी पढ़ें- Exclusive : जोशीमठ में दरारें आने से पहले निवासियों ने किया था सचेत दिल्ली पुलिस ने वीजा समा...

A 42- year old man was killed and a boy is said to be critical after a bullock cart allegedly rammed spectators at Karnataka's Mandya area, police said. "A man died during a bullock cart race. The injured boy is being treated at Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS). His condition is said to be critical, police said. The deceased has been identified as Nagaraju, a resident of Keelara Village, Police said. During the initial probe, police learned that a bullock cart tyre ran over the man among the spectators watching the competition. The fatal accident happened at Chikkamandya near Mandya, where an inter-state level pair bullock cart race was going on for two days. The area falls under Mandya Central Police Station limits. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) or Goa Police has not received any complaint from Go First airlines for the alleged misbehaviour of two passengers onboard the Goa-Mumbai flight on January 6, said officials on Sunday. Speaking to ANI, North Goa Superintendent of Police (SP), Nidhin Valsan said, "We have not received any such complaint in this regard. However, when the news spread we contacted airport security authorities but they also said that have not received any such complaint from anyone at Manohar International Airport at Mopa in Goa. We also spoke to senior officials of CISF they have also denied any incident. Neither we have got any complaint nor any information has been received in this regard." A co-passenger on the Air India New York-Delhi flight where an inebriated passenger urinated on a woman, told NDTV today there was "fault at multiple levels" in the handling of the incident. Most of it, he said, was poor judgement by the pilot. Dr Sugata Bhattacharjee told NDTV that he had initially alerted the cabin crew about the passenger, who seemed unable to handle his drink. "I flagged to the staff that he had way too many drinks - the staff just smiled," he told NDTV in an exclusive interview. As the caste census started in Bihar on Saturday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the government aims to conduct the census properly so that there isn't any discrepancy. Talking to reporters here in Hajipur, Nitish Kumar said "We have spoken with all the MLAs and concerned officers regarding the matter. Our aim is to understand, what has happened and what more needs to be done. So far the caste census has been successfully done in three places." He further said that there are several castes and sub-castes, so the census has to be carried out properly. "We have to do it properly. As we know, there are several castes, and many sub-castes run under them. So, we have to ensure that no discrepancies remain, and the census is carried out properly.
