Nitish Kumar-Led Newly Formed NDA Government To Seek Trust Vote On Feb 12

The newly formed NDA government in Bihar, headed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, will seek the trust vote on February 12, the inaugural day of the budget session, according to a revised notification issued on the matter on Thursday.

Earlier, the less-than-a-week-old government was scheduled to seek the vote of confidence on February 10.

However, according to a fresh notification, the session will now commence on February 12 which will also witness the governor's address to a joint session of members of both Houses.

JD(U) president Nitish Kumar on January 28 took oath as Chief Minister of Bihar for a record ninth time, ditching the Mahagathbandhan and the opposition bloc INDIA and forming a new government with the BJP, which he had dumped less than 18 months ago.

The election of a new Speaker, who would succeed Awadh Bihari Choudhary of the RJD, is also scheduled on February 12 and so is tabling of the state Economic Survey.

The budget which was earlier slated for tabling on February 12, will now be presented a day after.

The session will come to a close on March 1 after eleven working days. It is likely to be a stormy budget session as the NDA has moved a no-confidence motion against the Speaker (of the RJD), who has not resigned so far.

Hectic lobbying is on for the posts of the Speaker and ministers.

एक हत्‍या की गवाही... दो गैंगों पर शक, गैंगस्‍टर सूरजभान की फरीदाबाद में हत्‍या के बाद सुराग की तलाश में पुलिस

दिल्‍ली-एनसीआर (Delhi-NCR) में गैंगस्‍टरों की हत्‍याओं का सिलसिला थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है. आलम यह है कि पिछले कुछ वक्‍त में एक के बाद एक गैंगस्‍टरों की हत्‍या की जा रही है. हाल ही में लॉरेंस बिश्‍नोई गैंग के शूटर राजन की हरियाणा के यमुना नगर में हत्‍या कर दी गई थी. यह मामला चर्चा में ही था कि अब लॉरेंस बिश्‍नोई गैंग से जुड़े कपिल सागवान उर्फ नंदू गैंग के खासमखास गैंगस्‍टर सूरजभान उर्फ बालू की फरीदाबाद में गोली मारकर हत्‍या कर दी गई है. 

पुलिस के मुताबिक, सूरजभान अपनी बहन से मिलने के लिए फरीदाबाद आया था, जहां पर अज्ञात हमलावरों ने उसकी हत्या कर दी. फरीदाबाद के सेक्टर 11 में सूरजभान पर 15 से 20 राउंड फायर किए गए. उसकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई. 

सूचना मिलने के बाद पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची. क्राइम ब्रांच और फॉरेंसिक टीम जांच में जुटी है. फरीदाबाद के पुलिस कमिश्नर राकेश कुमार आर्य भी मौके पर पहुंचे और घटनास्‍थल का जायजा लिया. इस मामले में हमलावरों की संख्‍या दो बताई जा रही है. पुलिस के मुताबिक, वह इस मामले में दो एंगल से जांच कर रही है. 

पुलिस सूत्रों के मुताबिक, सूरजभान अमेरिका में बैठे लॉरेंस बिश्‍नोई के करीबी कपिल सागवान का खासमखास है. गैंग की कलेक्शन मनी सूरजभान ही इकट्ठा करता था. 

गवाही के लिए तैयार नहीं था सूरजभान !

कुछ साल पहले सूरजभान के नजफगढ़ स्थित दफ्तर पर कपिल सागवान उर्फ नंदू के जीजा की हत्या विरोधी खेमे के कुख्यात गैंगस्‍टर मंजीत महल ने करवा दी थी. सूरजभान को इस मामले में कोर्ट में मंजीत महल के खिलाफ गवाही देनी थी. हालांकि सूत्रों के मुताबिक, सूरजभान गवाही के लिए राजी नहीं हो रहा था. इसलिए पुलिस को शक है कि नंदू ने ही अमेरिका में बैठे-बैठे सूरजभान की हत्या करवा दी है. 

मंजीत महल के खिलाफ था इकलौता गवाह 

वहीं सूरजभान मंजीत महल के खिलाफ इकलौता गवाह था. इसलिए पुलिस यह भी शक जाहिर कर रही है कि मंजीत महल के गुर्गों ने इस हत्याकांड को अंजाम दिया होगा. मंजीत महल फिलहाल तिहाड़ जेल में बंद है.

मुनव्वर फारुकी और अंकिता लोखंडे की पर वीक फीस में जमीन आसमान का अंतर रहा. मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक अंकिता लोखंडे को हर हफ्ते 15 लाख रुपये ऑफर किए गए थे. जबकि मुनव्वर फारुकी को हर हफ्ते मिलने वाली फीस अंकिता लोखंडे की फीस की आधे से थोड़ी कम ही थी. मुनव्वर फारुकी को पर वीक सिर्फ सात लाख रु. ही ऑफर किए गए थे. इस लिहाज से अंकिता लोखंडे पूरे सीजन के 12 हफ्ते में 1 करोड़ 80 लाख रुपए कमाने में कामयाब रहीं. जबकि मुनव्वर फारुकी केवल 84 लाख रु. ही पूरे सीजन में कमा सके.

फिनाले में जीती इतनी रकम

इसके बाद मुनव्वर फारुकी ने जीत हासिल की. बिग बॉस की चमचमाती ट्रॉफी के साथ ही उन्हें पचास लाख रु. की बड़ी रकम भी मिली. इसके बावजूद मुनव्वर फारुकी की टोटल कमाई अंकिता लोखंडे के मुकाबले बहुत कम है. बिग बॉस के सीजन की कुल कमाई 80 लाख रु. और विनिंग अमाउंट पचास लाख रु. मिलाकर मुनव्वर फारुकी ने कमाए 1 करोड़ 34 लाख रुपए जबकि अंकिता लोखंडे की कुल कमाई हुई 1 करोड़ 80 लाख रु. इस से अंदाजा लगाया जा सकता है कि कमाई के मामले में अंकिता लोखंडे से कितने ज्यादा पिछड़े रहे मुनव्वर फारुकी.

Delhi Records Maximum Temperature Of 18.6 Degrees Celsius On Sunday

The national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 18.6 degrees Celsius, normal for the season's average.

The minimum temperature of 6.0 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average, was recorded in the morning.

According to the IMD, from January 31 to February 1, the weather conditions will be generally cloudy with light rain or drizzle. From January 28 to 30, the city may witness moderate fog.

The humidity level of 83 per cent was recorded at 5.30 pm.

The air quality index (AQI) remained at 384 in the "very poor" category at 6 pm, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered "good", 51 and 100 "satisfactory", 101 and 200 "moderate", 201 and 300 "poor", 301 and 400 "very poor", and 401 and 500 "severe".

No One-Size-Fits-All Solution: Shashi Tharoor On Seat Talks In INDIA Bloc

On the political uncertainty in Bihar, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said on Saturday that the ultimate objective of the INDIA bloc is to change the Union government (BJP at the Centre), adding that seat-sharing is being discussed on a state-by-state basis.

Asserting that it is imperative for the political parties forming the INDIA bloc to mainly focus on taking on BJP in the Lok Sabha polls and resolving the seat sharing issues as there is no single formula for seat sharing permutations in every state.

The INDIA bloc is struggling to combat the inner differences amid the political crisis in Bihar. On the other hand, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann have announced that they would go solo in their respective states in the Lok Sabha polls.

"This whole alliance and seat-sharing is being discussed on a state-by-state basis. No one is going to have a one-size-fits-all solution. In each state, the story is going to be different, " Tharoor said while addressing the media in Kolkata.

"I think we are all focused on the imperative need to change the Union govt and that is the ultimate objective," he added.

Earlier, the mega alliance suffered a setback after West Bengal CM Banerjee and her Punjab counterpart, Bhagwant Mann announced that they would go solo in their respective states in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who left no stone unturned in uniting the oppoisition to take on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha polls, is likely to jump ship back to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Several NDA leaders including former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi have indicated an alliance breakdown between JD(U)-RJD.

Earlier today, BJP leader and Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey participated in the foundation laying ceremony of development works with CM Nitish Kumar.

"Whatever is God's wish, will happen. The first time around, I only brought him (Nitish Kumar) here, and today also I have brought him," he said.

Earlier, former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD President Lalu's daughter, Rohini Acharya, took a swipe at RJD's ruling ally, JDU, on X, posting that while the 'socialist party' (JDU) styles itself as progressive, its ideology shifts with the changing wind patterns, a statement that triggered cracks within the ruling alliance.

However, a few hours later, all three posts by Lalu's daughter were deleted.

If Nitish Kumar crosses over to the NDA, this would be the fourth time he would be switching sides.

However, CM Kumar is yet to break his silence on the issue.

"Give Proof Or Resign": BJP To Arvind Kejriwal On Poaching Charge

The BJP on Saturday rejected as "false" and "baseless" Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's allegation that it was trying to poach AAP legislators to topple his government and asked him to either give proof to substantiate his claim or resign.

AAP leaders, including its convener Mr Kejriwal, alleged that seven MLAs of the party were offered Rs 25 crore each and a BJP ticket to contest polls if they switched sides.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said that Mr Kejriwal should stop "lying" and dared him to tell the names of the MLAs who, the AAP chief has claimed, were contacted by the BJP.

"Kejriwal's statement shows his political frustration. He said that the BJP wants to break off his party MLAs. This shows his mental bankruptcy and how much a party of 62 MLAs (out of 70 in Assembly) is frustrated after losing its political ground," he said.

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said that Chief Minister Kejriwal has made "false allegations to defame the BJP".

"He should provide proof of his statement otherwise he should resign from the post of chief minister," Bidhuri said, adding that the BJP is consulting experts for legal action in this matter.

He also claimed that Mr Kejriwal's dream of becoming a major political leader in the country was disintegrating as the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was soaring after the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

"The BJP is going to win 400 seats in Lok Sabha polls, so AAP is falsely accusing the BJP of poaching its MLAs," he said.

The AAP leaders have also alleged that the BJP was conspiring to get Kejriwal arrested in a "fake" liquor scam case and topple his government by poaching AAP MLAs.

Mr Sachdeva said,"People can see that Kejriwal needs an alliance for survival as his political ground has slipped ahead of Lok Sabha polls. So, he is making such absurd statements so that he can stay alive politically." The "absurd" claims made by Kejriwal and other AAP leaders including Delhi minister Atishi show that they have lost all their discretion before their imminent fall, Delhi BJP secretary Bansuri Swaraj said.

"Kejriwal has now run out of excuses to avoid ED investigation in the liquor scam so he has started resorting to lies," she charged.

Mr Kejriwal has so far skipped four notices of the Enforcement Directorate for questioning in connection with a money laundering case linked to an alleged excise policy scam in his government.

Delhi BJP general secretary Kamaljit Sehrawat claimed there was "unrest" among the AAP MLAs and MPs and Kejriwal was accusing the BJP "due to frustration with his own people".

"Kejriwal is levelling wild allegations against the BJP to divert attention from the way opposition bloc Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) was breaking apart in different states," claimed Delhi BJP media cell head Praveen Shankar Kapoor.
