The BJP on Wednesday trained its guns at the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi, alleging "corruption" in the award of tenders by the flood and irrigation department and payments to contractors without any work being done on the ground. Flood and Irrigation Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, however, fired back at BJP, asking it to first answer why files were not sent by the officers to the minister in charge of the department for approval. "Since March 2023, since I took charge of the department and till date, no file of these works was sent by the officers for the minister's approval," Mr Bharadwaj claimed. Pollution levels in Delhi improved on Tuesday and were recorded in the "poor" category, with the minimum temperature settling at 11.2 degrees Celsius, weather department officials said. As per Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) was 297, higher than 310 ("very poor" category) recorded a day earlier. The national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 25.4 degrees Celsius, normal for the season, while the minimum temperature settled two notches above normal at 11.2 degrees Celsius, as per weather department data. The air quality is likely to slip back to the "very poor" category from December 6-8. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'. गुर्जर समुदाय की बहुलता वाले पूर्वी राजस्थान के आठ जिलों में कांग्रेस को इस विधानसभा चुनाव में दस सीट का नुकसान हुआ है. समुदाय के लोगों ने दावा किया है कि सचिन पायलट की उपेक्षा इसका बड़ा कारण है. राज्य की 200 सदस्यीय विधानसभा की 199 सीट पर मतदान हुआ जिसके वोटों की गिनती रविवार को की गई. इसमें भाजपा को 115 सीट के साथ बहुमत मिला जबकि कांग्रेस 69 सीट पर सिमट गई. पूर्वी राजस्थान के आठ जिलों --अलवर, भरतपुर, बूंदी, दौसा, धौलपुर, करौली, सवाई माधोपुर और टोंक में कांग्रेस की सीट इस विधानसभा चुनाव में 29 से घटकर 19 रह गईं, जबकि भाजपा को 14 सीट का फायदा हुआ और उसे कुल 42 में से 20 सीटें हासिल हुईं. साल 2018 में कांग्रेस ने पूर्वी राजस्थान में 42 में से 29 सीट जीती थीं जबकि भाजपा को छह सीट मिली थीं. इस क्षेत्र की कई सीटों पर गुर्जर मतदाताओं को निर्णायक माना जाता है. गुर्जर समुदाय से आने वाले पायलट 2018 में कांग्रेस प्रदेशाध्यक्ष थे और तब उन्होंने चुनाव में पार्टी की अगुवाई की थी. लेकिन इस बार के चुनाव में मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत अभियान का नेतृत्व कर रहे थे. पायलट ने अपनी टोंक सीट के साथ-साथ अपने ...

The Manipur government on Sunday restored mobile internet services across the state barring a few areas till December 18, a notification said. "Considering improvement in law and order and inconveniences faced by people due to the mobile internet ban, the state government has decided to relax the suspension," the notification said. Mobile towers catering to services within a 2km radius along adjoining areas between districts such as Chandel and Kakching, Churachandpur and Bishnupur, Churachandpur and Kakching, Kangpokpi and Imphal West, Kangpokpi and Imphal East, Kangpokpi and Thoubal and Tengnoupal and Kakching will still face suspended operations, it said. Mobile internet had been suspended in the state since May 3 following the outbreak of violence in the state.
