दिल्ली के बाढ़ प्रभावित जिलों के सभी स्कूल सोमवार और मंगलवार को बंद रहेंगे, आदेश जारी

दिल्ली के बाढ़ प्रभावित छह जिलों के सभी सरकारी और प्राइवेट स्कूल सोमवार और मंगलवार को बंद रहेंगे. दिल्ली सरकार ने इस बारे में आदेश जारी किया है. पूर्वी, उत्तर पूर्वी, नॉर्थ वेस्ट-ए, नॉर्थ, सेंट्रल और साउथ ईस्ट जिले के सभी स्कूल बंद रखने का आदेश जारी किया गया है. यह जिले डायरेक्टरेट ऑफ एजुकेशन के हिसाब से हैं.

शिक्षा निदेशालय की तरफ से आदेश में कहा गया है कि जहां भी संभव हो ऑनलाइन क्लास की जा सकती है. दिल्ली के बाकी सभी सात जिलों के स्कूल खुलेंगे. बुधवार से दिल्ली के सभी स्कूल सामान्य तौर पर चलेंगे. 

बाढ़ पीड़ितों के लिए दिल्ली सरकार की तरफ से सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने राहत की घोषणा की है. उन्होंने कहा है कि, यमुना किनारे रहने वाले कई बेहद गरीब परिवारों का काफी नुक़सान हुआ है. कुछ परिवारों का तो पूरे घर का सामान बह गया. आर्थिक मदद के तौर पर हर बाढ़ पीड़ित परिवार को दस हज़ार रुपये देंगे. जिनके कागज जैसे आधार कार्ड आदि बह गए, उनके लिए स्पेशल कैंप लगाए जाएंगे. जिन बच्चों की ड्रेस और किताबें बह गईं, उन्हें यह स्कूलों की तरफ से दिलाई जाएंगी.

यमुना किनारे रहने वाले कई बेहद गरीब परिवारों का काफ़ी नुक़सान हुआ है। कुछ परिवारों का तो पूरे घर का सामान बह गया।

दिल्ली सरकार ने हरियाणा सरकार को आईटीओ बैराज को सौंपने के लिए पत्र लिखा है. आज शाम सात बजे यमुना का जलस्तर  205.61 मीटर था. यमुना के पुराने ब्रिज (पुराना लोहे का पुल) पर रेल यातायात 20 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे के गति प्रतिबंध के साथ आज से बहाल हो गया.

बचाव और राहत के लिए दिल्ली के बाढ़ प्रभावित जिलों में 17 टीमें तैनात हैं. मध्य दिल्ली में तीन, उत्तर पूर्वी दिल्ली में दो, दक्षिण पूर्वी दिल्ली में चार, पूर्वी दिल्ली में छह और शाहदरा में दो टीमें तैनात हैं. एनडीआरएफ की टीमें लगातार दिन-रात निकासी अभियान में लगी हुई हैं. अब तक दिल्ली क्षेत्र में एनडीआरएफ की टीमों ने दुर्गम इलाकों से कुल 1606 लोगों को बचाया है और 7241 लोगों को 956 पशुओं के साथ सुरक्षित स्थानों पर पहुंचाया है.

4 Drown While Taking Selfie At Lake In Maharashtra's Chandrapur

Four persons drowned while taking a selfie at a lake in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district on Sunday, police said.

The incident took place at Ghodazeri Lake, some 106 km from the district headquarters, around 4.30 pm, an official said.

A group of eight youngsters from Shegaon village in Warora tehsil went for a picnic at the lake, where four of them slipped while taking a selfie and drowned, he said.

The police and disaster management team have launched a search operation to trace them, the official said.

The men have been identified as Manish Srirame (26), Dheeraj Zade (27), Sanket Modak (25) and Chetan Mandade (17), he said, adding that the water level in the lake has increased due to rains in the area.

"The remaining members of the group alerted the police. A search operation has been launched at the site to trace the men," said Reena Janbhandu, additional superintendent of police, Chandrapur.

Air India Official Slapped, Abused By Co-Passenger On Sydney-Delhi Flight

A passenger allegedly abused and assaulted a senior Air India official onboard a Sydney-Delhi flight on July 9, adding to the recent spate of unruly behaviour mid-air.

The incident took place when the Air India official, who had to move to the economy from his business class seat due to a malfunction in his seat, requested the accused to speak softly, a source said.

According to the source, the Air India official was allotted seat 30-C in the economy class. Since there were other passengers, he chose sit in row 25, the source said.

"The official requested his co-passenger to speak softly. But he slapped the official, twisted his head and abused him," the source alleged.

When the five cabin crew failed to contain the rowdy passenger, the official rushed to the rear seats, as per the source.

"This unruly passenger was fiddling with the emergency equipment and walking freely in the aisle," the source further alleged.

The cabin supervisor was called in and the passenger was "issued a verbal and a written warning", the source said, adding, despite the physical assault, no restraining devices were used by the crew to contain the unruly passenger.

Reacting to the incident, Air India, in a statement, said, "A passenger on board AI-301 operating Sydney-Delhi on July 9, 2023, behaved in an unacceptable manner during the flight, despite verbal and written warnings, causing distress to other passengers, which included one of our employees." 

"Upon the flight's safe landing in Delhi, the passenger was handed over to the security agency, and he later apologised in writing," the airline said.

The country's aviation regulator, the DGCA, was "duly informed" of the incident, the airline said, adding that it "will take a firm stand against misbehaviour". 

"We will pursue this to the full extent of the law," the statement said.

Court Sets Aside Magistrate Order To Accept CBI Chargesheet Against Mehul Choksi

A special CBI court here on Saturday set aside a magistrate's order taking of cognisance of the chargesheet filed against fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi in a loan fraud case amounting to more than Rs 22 crore.

The special judge remanded matter back to the magistrate for a fresh order on consideration of the chargesheet.

The metropolitan magistrate, Esplanade court, had taken cognisance of a chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against Choksi and the other accused in the case in March this year.

However, Choksi and co-accused Aniyath Nair moved a review application before the CBI court, saying no case was made out against them.

In a plea filed through advocates Vijay Agarwal and Rahul Agarwal, the accused claimed that the trial (magistrate) court failed to appreciate that documents filed by the CBI in support of its case were inadmissible evidence and cognisance taken based on such documents was "bad in law".

The probe agency had registered an FIR against the accused in April 2022 on the basis of complaint lodged by Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI) Ltd.

The accused have been booked under the Indian Penal Code for cheating and criminal conspiracy and provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The CBI has alleged that Choksi and the other accused during the period from 2014-2018 were party to a criminal conspiracy to cheat IFCI.

As part of the conspiracy, Choksi's firm Gitanjali Gems Limited (GGL) approached IFCI for financial assistance of Rs 25 crore in March, 2016.

Choksi allegedly pledged jewels worth double the loan amount after due valuation by government-approved valuers, and IFCI disbursed the entire loan amount of Rs 25 crore based on the security of the pledged jewellery and shares.

As per the FIR, when GGL started defaulting on its repayments, IFCI invoked the pledged shares, but could recover only a little more than Rs 4 crore.

In order to realise the security, IFCI conducted a fresh valuation of the pledged jewels, which showed their valuation had dropped by 98 per cent.

IFCI has alleged that Choksi colluded with the valuers and got the valuation inflated. It also claimed that the pledged diamonds were low quality lab-made chemical vapour stones and other inferior coloured stones, not the real ones, thus leading to a wrongful loss of more than Rs 22.49 crore.

सऊदी अरब की जेल में बंद छाजूराम ने छोड़ दी थी स्वदेश वापसी की उम्‍मीद, ऐसे सच हुआ सपना

सऊदी अरब की जेल में ढाई साल से बंद राजस्थान के छाजूराम की आखिरकार केंद्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्री और जोधपुर सांसद गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत के सफल प्रयासों से स्वदेश वापसी हो ही गई. सऊदी अरब की जेल में बंद झुंझुनू के उदयपुरवाटी निवासी छाजूराम जांगिड़ ने स्वदेश वापसी की उम्मीद तक छोड़ दी थी. हालांकि केंद्रीय मंत्री शेखावत के प्रयासों से छाजूराम अब अपने परिवार के पास वापस लौट आए हैं. 

दरअसल, खरबासों की ढाणी निवासी छाजूराम जांगिड़ वर्ष 2017 में रोजगार के लिए सऊदी अरब गए थे. छाजूराम बताते हैं कि 18 अक्टूबर 2017 को अल सोहीन ट्रांसपोर्ट कंपनी में उन्हें चालक की नौकरी मिली थी, वहां बड़ाऊ रसूलपुर निवासी दौलत सिंह ने उनसे दोस्ती कर ली.  हालांकि दोनों की कंपनी अलग-अलग थी, जहां एक दिन दौलत ने सप्लाई के दौरान साथ-साथ चलने की बात कही. रास्ते में उसने उनका ट्रक पार्क करवा दिया और चाय पीने के बहाने एक कमरे में ले गया. 

छाजूराम ने बताया कि जब बाहर आकर देखा तो तीन पाकिस्‍तानियों समेत आधा दर्जन लोग उसके ट्रक से दूसरे ट्रक में सामान शिफ्ट कर रहे थे. रोका तो उसके साथ मारपीट की गई. उन्‍होंने बताया कि आरोपी उन्‍हें बंधक बनाकर जंगल ले गए ओर तीन अन्य लोगों के हवाले कर दिया. 

अपनी दासता बताते हुए छाजूराम ने कहा कि कुछ दिन बाद वे मारपीट कर उनसे पैसों की डिमांड भी करने लगे. परिवार के लोगों ने कर्जा लेकर भारत से करीब साढ़े सात लाख रुपए भेजे,. बावजूद इसके उन्‍हें नहीं छोड़ा गया. उनके चंगुल में छह माह तक वह फंसा रहा. 

वहीं दूसरी तरफ बंधक बनाने वालों ने उनकी कंपनी का ट्रक भी बेच दिया और सामान पारकर दिया. ऐसे में छाजूराम को वहां पर ढाई साल की सजा सुनाई गई और दूसरी तरफ कंपनी ने भी ढाई लाख का क्लेम कर दिया. ऐसे वक्‍त में छाजूराम को स्वदेश वापसी सपने जैसी लग रही थी और एक बार तो छाजूराम ने देश वापसी की उम्मीद भी छोड़ दी थी. हालांकि परिवार ने केंद्रीय मंत्री से संपर्क कर छाजूराम की स्वदेश वापसी के सफल प्रयास किए.

मंत्री शेखावत ने विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर से की थी बात
केंद्रीय मंत्री गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत ने विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर को मामले से अवगत कराया था. छाजूराम के पुत्र का कहना है कि लक्ष्मणदास महाराज के साथ पौंख निवासी विश्वेन्द्र सिंह और लोकेंद्र सिंह शेखावत से मुलाकात की , जहां से उन्होंने केंद्रीय जलशक्ति मंत्री गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत से बात करवाई. शेखावत ने समय गंवाए बिना विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर से बात की. विदेश मंत्रालय ने सऊदी अरब में वकील की व्यवस्था करवाई और छाजूराम की स्वदेश वापसी सम्भव हो पाई.

एशिया की सबसे बड़ी झुग्गी बस्ती धारावी को रिडेवलप करेगा अदाणी ग्रुप, महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने दी मंजूरी

देश की आर्थिक राजधानी मुंबई में स्थित एशिया के सबसे बड़े स्लम एरिया धारावी (Dharavi Slum) का अदाणी ग्रुप (Adani Group) रिडेवलपमेंट करेगा. इस स्लम एरिया को संवारने के प्रोजेक्ट (Dharavi Slum Redevelopment Project)को महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने मंजूरी दे दी है. प्रोजेक्ट के सीईओ एसवीआर श्रीनिवास ने बताया कि इस बारे में गवर्नमेंट रेजोल्यूशन भी जारी कर दिया गया है. जल्द ही लेटर ऑफ अवॉर्ड भी जारी किया जाएगा.

BQ प्राइम की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, बीते साल नवंबर में अदाणी ग्रुप ने धारावी स्लम एरिया को फिर से विकसित करने के प्रोजेक्ट की बोली जीती थी. अदाणी ग्रुप ने इसके लिए 5069 करोड़ रुपये की बोली लगाई थी. धारावी में शिक्षा का स्तर और साफ-सफाई की स्थिति बेहद खराब है. अब अदाणी इंफ्रा इस जगह को संवारने का काम करेगी. 

240 हेक्टेयर में फैले धारावी को फिर से विकसित करने के लिए योजना दो दशक पहले बनाई गई थी, लेकिन इसमें कई दिक्कतें आती रहीं. महाराष्ट्र की एकनाथ शिंदे सरकार ने अक्टूबर 2022 में नए टेंडर जारी किए. पिछली बार इस प्रोजेक्ट के लिए लगी बोली को उद्धव ठाकरे सरकार ने साल 2019 में रद्द कर दिया था. लेकिन अब प्रोजेक्ट को मंजूरी मिल गई है. अनुमान है कि प्रोजेक्ट को पूरा करने में 23000 करोड़ रुपये का खर्च आएगा. ये एक सरकारी एजेंसी द्वारा ग्लोबल टेंडरिंग के जरिए सबसे बड़े पुनर्विकास कार्यों में से एक होगा.

मुंबई का दिल कहने जाने वाला धारावी को अंग्रेजों के समय बसाया गया था. अब यह दुनिया की तीसरी सबसे बड़ी और एशिया की सबसे बड़ी बस्ती है. धारावी में कितने लोग रहते हैं इसका सही आंकड़ा नहीं है. एक अनुमान के मुताबिक, इस बस्ती में 6 से 10 लाख लोग रहते हैं. 550 एकड़ में फैली धारावी में झुग्गी-बस्तियों की संख्या इतनी है कि दूर से देखने पर जमीन नजर नहीं आती है. यहां पर एक किलोमीटर के क्षेत्र में दो लाख से अधिक लोग रहते हैं.

महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने पूरे इलाके को अविकसित क्षेत्र के तौर पर अधिसूचित किया है. एक स्पेशल प्लानिंग अथॉरिटी बनाई है. चयनित पार्टनर को एक स्पेशल पर्पज व्हीकल (SPV) बनाना होगा, जिसमें 80% इक्विटी या 400 करोड़ रुपये होंगे. वहीं महाराष्ट्र सरकार के पास 20% इक्विटी या 100 करोड़ रुपये की हिस्सेदारी होगी. SPV के जरिए योग्य झुग्गीवासियों को मुफ्त मकान दिए जाएंगे, साथ ही नीलामी की शर्तों में उल्लिखित सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करवाई जाएंगी.

Amit Shah Approves Release Of Rs 180 Crore To Flood-Hit Himachal

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday approved the advance release of Rs 180 crore as the central share of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to flood-hit Himachal Pradesh.

The release of funds will help the state government undertake relief measures for affected people during the monsoon, an official statement issued here said.

The home minister approved the advance release of the second installment of the central share of the SDRF, amounting to Rs 180.40 crore for 2023-24, as an interim relief to Himachal Pradesh, it said.

To support those affected in Himachal Pradesh, the central government had released the first installment of the central share of Rs 180.40 crore to the state from the SDRF on July 10 for relief measures immediate in nature.

To deal with the situation caused due to flash floods and floods, cloudbursts and landslides in Himachal Pradesh, the central government has provided all necessary logistics and financial assistance to the state government to meet the situation efficiently, the statement said.

In total, 11 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) along with rescue boats and other necessary equipment have been deployed for rescue operations.

One column of the 1 PARA SF and the 205 Army Aviation Squadron have also been deployed at Paonta Sahib for civil evacuation. Two MI-17V5 helicopter have been deployed for evacuation missions, the statement said.

The central government has also constituted Inter-Ministerial Central Teams (IMCTs) to make on-the-spot assessment of the situation and relief works being carried out by the Himachal Pradesh government. The IMCTs would commence field visits on July 17.

The statement said the central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has already released of Rs 10,031.20 crore as central share of SDRF to 27 states during the year 2023-24.
