"If It Could Happen In 1977...": Sharad Pawar Over Opposition Unity

NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday said the opposition parties were keen on providing an alternative to the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections next year and projecting a prime ministerial face was not an issue.

Sharad Pawar, addressing a press conference here, said that he would attend the meeting of opposition leaders convened by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna on June 23 and strive for putting up a joint fight against the BJP.

"A prime ministerial face is not an issue before us. Even in 1977, no one was projected as the prime minister. The Janata Party won the elections and Morarji Desai was made the prime minister," the NCP supremo said.

"If it could happen in 1977, why can't it happen now? We have the responsibility to provide the people of this country with an alternative to the BJP," he said.

Mr Pawar stressed that it was not a necessity to project a prime ministerial face in Lok Sabha elections.

"There is a need to present an alternative before the people. If we contest the elections together, we will be able to provide that alternative. The result of this will decide things in the future," Mr Pawar said.

Mr Pawar said there has been a suggestion to put up joint opposition candidates against the BJP and this issue will be discussed at the meeting in Patna on June 23.

"There has been a suggestion that where BJP is strong, if possible, non-BJP parties can field a single candidate. This will be discussed in Patna.

"The meeting in Patna will give a new direction as people want change. We will make sincere efforts to meet the expectations of the people," he said.

On incidents of communal violence in Maharashtra, Mr Pawar said the people of the state will reject such divisive politics as they did in Karnataka.

The NCP chief alleged that the BJP and its allied organisations were vitiating the atmosphere in Maharashtra "as they did in Karnataka in the name of Lord Hanuman".

"But the people of Karnataka rejected the communal agenda. I am confident that the people of Maharashtra too will not accept it," Mr Pawar said.

On threats to him over social media, Mr Pawar said he trusts Maharashtra Police and is confident that it will do its job sincerely.

कर्नाटक के बाद अब मध्‍य प्रदेश में महिलाओं पर बड़ा दांव खेलेंगी BJP और कांग्रेस

कर्नाटक की प्रत्येक महिला को 2,000 रुपये देने के वादा करके कांग्रेस ने राज्‍य में शानदार जीत दर्ज की है. इसके बाद भाजपा और कांग्रेस दोनों ही चुनावी राज्यों की महिला मतदाताओं को लुभाने की योजना बना रहे हैं. इसकी कवायद मध्‍य प्रदेश में पहले ही शुरू हो चुकी है, जहां पर इस साल नवंबर में चुनाव होने हैं. 

मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने कहा कि "लाडली बहना योजना" के तहत शनिवार को 1.25 करोड़ महिलाओं को 1000 रुपए उनके बैंक अकाउंट में भेजे जाएंगे. यह कदम आने वाले महीनों में उनकी पार्टी के अभियान को मजबूत कर सकता है. मध्‍य प्रदेश में भाजपा का नेतृत्व करने वाले चौहान को न केवल दो दशक की सत्ता विरोधी लहर का सामना करना पड़ेगा, बल्कि आक्रामक कांग्रेस से भी निपटना होगा. यही वजह है कि वह अपनी कई कल्याणकारी योजनाओं को कुछ बदलावों के साथ दोबारा पेश कर रहे हैं.

चौहान की घोषणा के तुरंत बाद महज दो दिनों में ही रविवार को कांग्रेस नेता प्रियंका गांधी जबलपुर में एक रैली को संबोधित कर सकती हैं और सत्ता में आने पर राज्य की प्रत्येक महिला को 1,500 रुपये प्रति माह देने के पार्टी के वादे की आधिकारिक घोषणा कर सकती हैं. प्रियंका गांधी गौरी घाट पर नर्मदा पूजन और एक रैली को संबोधित भी कर सकती हैं. 

मध्‍य प्रदेश में महिला मतदाता अहम हैं, क्योंकि राज्य के 5.39 करोड़ मतदाताओं में से 48.20 % महिला मतदाता हैं. 15 लाख नए मतदाताओं में से 7 लाख से अधिक महिलाएं हैं. चुनाव आयोग के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, पिछले दो चुनावों के बाद से राज्य में महिलाओं का मतदान प्रतिशत बढ़ा है और वास्तव में कम से कम 50 सीटों पर महिलाएं पुरुष मतदाताओं से अधिक हैं, जिनमें एसटी समुदायों के लिए आरक्षित 230 सीटों में से 18 सीटें भी शामिल हैं. 

ऐसी स्थिति डिंडोरी, बिछिया, निवास, मंडला, बैहर, परसवाड़ा, बालाघाट, वारासिवनी, बरघाट, पानसेमल, अलीराजपुर, जोबट, झाबुआ, थांदला, पेटलावद, सरदारपुर, कुक्षी और सैलाना सीटों में है, जहां भाजपा को पिछली बार हार का सामना करना पड़ा था.

2018 में पिछले विधानसभा चुनाव के दौरान महिला मतदाताओं की भागीदारी में 3.75 फीसदी की बढ़ोतरी हुई थी. कई निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में महिला मतदाताओं के प्रतिशत के मामले में वृद्धि लगभग 8 से 10 प्रतिशत थी. उस वक्‍त राज्य में कांग्रेस और भाजपा के बीच कड़ा मुकाबला देखने को मिला था, जिसमें कांग्रेस ने 230 में से 114 सीटें जीती थीं और भाजपा को 109 सीटें मिलीं थीं.

महिलाओं पर फोकस
भोपाल में लाड़ली बहना योजना की घोषणा करते हुए मार्च में सीएम चौहान ने कहा था कि उनके खुद के नौकरशाहों ने ही उन्हें इसको लेकर चेताया था कि इसका असर राज्य के खजाने पर पड़ेगा. सीएम ने कहा था, "लेकिन आपके जीवन को बेहतर बनाना मेरे जीवन का लक्ष्य है और मैं इसे किसी भी कीमत पर करूंगा. स्वीकृति पत्र आपके पास पैसे से पहले आ जाएगा. यदि आपको 1,000 रुपये प्रति माह मिलते हैं तो इससे आपको काफी मदद मिलेगी. यहां तक ​​कि यदि इसका खर्च 12 हजार करोड़ रुपये से ज्यादा आता तो आपका यह भाई संकोच नहीं करेगा." 

इस योजना का लाभ समाज के सभी वर्गों की उन सभी महिलाओं को मिलेगा, जो इनकम टैक्स नहीं देते हैं या जिनके पास पांच एकड़ से अधिक कृषि भूमि नहीं, खुद का ट्रैक्टर नहीं है और वे अन्य सरकारी योजनाओं की लाभार्थी नहीं हैं. राज्य सरकार के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि आवेदनों की प्रक्रिया 25 मार्च से शुरू हुई थी और अब तक करीब सवा करोड़ आवेदन प्राप्त हो चुके हैं. अधिकारी ने बताया, "आवेदन की प्रक्रिया बहुत सरल रखी गई है. आवेदक को अपनी समग्र आईडी मूल रूप से मध्य प्रदेश राज्य की निवासी के रूप में दिखानी होगी. इसके लिए कोई अतिरिक्त दस्तावेज या प्रमाण पत्र नहीं मांगा जा रहा है." अधिकारियों का कहना है कि इससे बीएमआई और महिलाओं के समग्र स्वास्थ्य में सुधार होगा, श्रम बल में महिलाओं की भागीदारी बढ़ेगी, महिलाओं को अधिक वित्तीय स्वतंत्रता और उनकी परिवार के भीतर निर्णय लेने की भूमिका में सुधार होगा तो वित्तीय हालात बेहतर होंगे.

भाजपा नेता पी मुरलीधर राव का कहना है कि भाजपा और राज्य सरकार की महिलाओं तक पहुंच बढ़ाने की कोशिश और उनके जीवन को बेहतर बनाना इस चुनाव में गेमचेंजर साबित होगा और पार्टी को 2018 में हारी हुई सीटों को जीतने में भी मदद मिलेगी. 

अधिकारियों ने कहा कि लाड़ली बहना योजना के अलावा मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने बालिका विवाह योजना 'लाडली लक्ष्मी योजना' के लिए 900 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक आवंटित किए हैं. कुछ अन्य राज्यों की तरह मध्य प्रदेश में भी महिलाओं को पुलिस भर्ती में 30 फीसदी और अन्य सरकारी नौकरियों में 33 फीसदी आरक्षण है. सीएम चौहान ने रक्षा बंधन के अवसर पर राज्य भर की महिलाओं को पांच लाख पत्र भेजे थे. इन पत्रों में उन्होंने सरकार की महिलाओं के लिए योजनाओं का जिक्र किया है और राज्य को समृद्ध बनाने के लिए "अपनी बहनों" से पांच साल और मांगे हैं. अधिकारियों ने कहा कि जेंडर बजट में भी 2022-2023 में दस प्रतिशत की बढ़ोतरी देखी गई, जिसमें करीब 85,000 करोड़ रुपये महिला कल्याण के लिए थे. साथ ही बताया कि राज्य सरकार महिलाओं के लिए करीब 350 योजनाएं चला रही है, जिसमें महिला कर्मचारियों को सात दिन का अतिरिक्त आकस्मिक अवकाश, कौशल प्रशिक्षण और महिलाओं के लिए विशेष रोजगार मेला भी शामिल हैं. 

हालांकि, महिला मतदाताओं को लुभाने के लिए पार्टियों के बीच होड़ के बीच विशेषज्ञों का कहना है कि वादों को मूर्त रूप देना असली मायने रखता है. भोपाल की सोशल साइंटिस्‍ट निशि दत्ता ने कहा कि जहां फ्री राशन पर निर्भर करने वाले गरीब परिवारों की संख्‍या बहुत ज्‍यादा हो वहां पर अवसरों और सामाजिक सशक्तिकरण करना जरूरी होती है, सिर्फ मदद करना नहीं. 

कांग्रेस नेता कमलनाथ ने कहा था कि भाजपा के वादे खोखले थे और कांग्रेस महिलाओं को प्रति माह 1,000 रुपये के बजाय 1,500 रुपये देगी. साथ ही उन्होंने कहा था, "... हम रसोई गैस सिलेंडर की कीमत घटाकर 500 रुपये करने जा रहे हैं."

Probe Agency Seizes Documents, Bank Accounts In Rajasthan Paper Leak Case

Immovable property documents, "fake" question papers and bank account details of some people were seized following recent raids in a money laundering case linked to alleged leaks of teacher recruitment exam papers in Rajasthan, the ED said on Friday.

The searches were conducted at 27 locations in the state, including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Dungarpur, Barmer, Sikar and Jalore, on June 5 as part of the probe into the alleged senior teachers grade II paper leak case and the REET paper leak case.

The senior teachers grade II exam was conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) last year, while Rajasthan Eligibility Exam for Teachers (REET) was conducted by the state education board in 2021.

The money laundering case stems from the FIRs filed by the Rajasthan Police's special operations group (SOG).

It was found that the suspects in these cases "leaked" the questions papers and set up dummy candidates, etc., the agency said.

Reacting to the Enforcement Directorate raids, Mr Gehlot told reporters in Sikar on Friday, "I have already said that the ED was waiting (to enter the state). We know that wherever elections are held in the country, the ED goes there first. They are given a list." 

"It is not appropriate for the ED to work under pressure. Be it CBI, ED, or Income Tax Department, if these agencies work impartially, without pressure, then we will welcome them," he added.

BJP MP Kirodi Meena had demanded action in the REET 2021 paper leak case.

The SOG of the Rajasthan Police, which is investigating the paper leaks, had arrested former RPSC member Babulal Katara, his nephew and driver in April in connection with the senior teacher recruitment exam paper leak case of 2022.

The exam was cancelled after the paper was widely shared on social media before the commencement of the test.

Several other accused have also been arrested in connection with the paper leak cases and their premises too are understood to have been covered under the ED action.

"If Pakistan Wants To Take Relations Forward, They...": S Jaishankar

India will not tolerate cross-border terrorist activities and it cannot keep aside terrorism to improve ties with Islamabad under its neighbourhood first policy, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Thursday.

He said if Pakistan wants to take the relations forward, it knows what to do, adding India has de-legitimised cross-border terrorism. The external affairs minister also described the revocation of Article 370 of the Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019 as a long-awaited step, saying it was very crucial for national security.

"I do think that what was done in 2019 was a very very crucial step in a long-awaited step for national security. The whole world used it against us. They saw it as a point of vulnerability," Mr Jaishankar said at a press conference.

"They saw it as something they should keep pressing and keep using and keep turning as a way of keeping India off-balanced. If we do not get it right, how do you expect the world to get it right," he said. Article 370 gave special powers to Jammu and Kashmir. "For us, the first thing was to remedy it at home and that is what we did in 2019. Once you sorted it out at home, then the question was how does the world react to it," Mr Jaishankar added.

He said many countries around the world now understand India's perspective on the issue.

On August 5, 2019, India announced the withdrawal of the special powers of Jammu and Kashmir and its decision to bifurcate the state into two union territories. Jammu and Kashmir had enjoyed the special status that was granted under Article 370 of the Constitution.

"We spent a lot of time getting people to understand what it was about. Our problem was that there were a lot of false narratives and much of it originated in our own country. We had to deal with it and we dealt with it," he said.

"I see no reason why Jammu and Kashmir should be denied the benefits not only of development but of globalisation that the rest of India is experiencing. I think it is their right and we should promote it," he said.

Replying to a question on India's 'neighbourhood first policy', Mr  Jaishankar said it has enhanced regional cooperation in diverse areas including connectivity, power and trade. At the same time, he asserted that India cannot keep aside cross-border terrorism to improve ties with Pakistan under the policy.

India has been maintaining that Pakistan must stop supporting cross-border terrorism to restore normal bilateral relations. "It is neither the country's sentiment nor the Modi government's thinking. If Pakistan wants to take the relations forward, they know what to do. It knows and the world knows," he said.

Mr Jaishankar made the remarks at a press conference he addressed to list the achievements of the Modi government in the foreign policy domain in the last nine years.

2-Lane Jaiswal Bridge Over Chenab In Jammu-Kashmir Completed: Nitin Gadkari

A two-lane Jaiswal bridge over the Chenab river in Ramban district along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway has been completed, Union minister Nitin Gadkari said on Wednesday, reiterating his commitment to provide exceptional highway infrastructure in the Union Territory.

Earlier, the bridge missed two back-to-back deadlines between March and April but its completion came just a few weeks before the start of the two-month-long annual pilgrimage to 3,880-metre high holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas.

"In Jammu and Kashmir, we have completed the construction of a two-lane Jaiswal Bridge over River Chenab on the Udhampur-Ramban section of NH-44. This meticulously designed Balanced Cantilever bridge spans 118 meters and has been built at a cost of Rs 20 Crore," Mr Gadkari, the Road Transport and Highways minister, said in a tweet.

"The establishment of this bridge serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it will alleviate congestion along the Chanderkot to Ramban section, ensuring smoother vehicular movement. Secondly, it will facilitate the seamless passage of vehicles and pilgrim traffic during the 'Shri Amarnath Yatra' on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway 44, which is scheduled to commence shortly," he said.

Under the visionary leadership of Prime minister Narendra Modi, Mr Gadkari said, the government is committed to provide Jammu and Kashmir with exceptional highway infrastructure.

"This transformative development not only contributes to the region's economic growth but also enhances its allure as a prime tourist destination," he said.

The Amarnath Yatra is scheduled to commence on July 1 from the twin tracks -- traditional 48-km Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag district and 14-km shorter but steep Baltal route in Ganderbal district. The first batch of the pilgrims will leave the Jammu base camp for the Valley on June 30.

The Debrief के हवाले से The Guardians ने ये रिपोर्ट पब्लिश की है कि, एक्स इंटेलिजेंस ऑफिसर ने अमेरिका के कब्जे में एलियन व्हीकल्स होने का खुलासा किया है, जिसमें कुछ कभी न खत्म होने वाले वाहन भी हैं.,

Grusch के आरोप

Grush का आरोप है कि, उन्होंने जब ये जानकारी कांग्रेस को दी, तो उन्हें विरोध का सामना करना पड़ा, जिसके चलते यूएस इंटेलिजेंस में 14 साल सेवाएं देने के बाद उन्होंने अप्रैल 2023 में काम छोड़ दिया.Grush ने ये भी कहा कि, ऐसे एलियन व्हीकल की जानकारी कांग्रेस को भी है. हालांकि, उन्होंने ये भी कहा कि उन्होंने ऐसे किसी क्राफ्ट या व्हीकल की तस्वीर भी नहीं देखी है. The Debrief से बातचीत में Grush ने कहा कि, एयरक्राफ्ट के बेड़े में कुछ क्राफ्ट कभी खत्म होने वाले नहीं है, जबकि कुछ क्राफ्ट को कुछ हद तक नष्ट किया जा सकता है.

नेशनल एयर एंड स्पेस इंटेलिजेंस सेंटर (Nasic) में यूएस इंटेलिजेंस ऑफिसर Jonathan Grey ने भी इस खबर पर मोहर लगाई है. उन्होंने भी एलियन क्राफ्ट होने की पुष्टि की है. साथ ही ये भी कहा कि, इसमें नया क्या है. एलियन्स या नॉन ह्यूमन होते हैं. उनका सामान रखना सिर्फ अमेरिका तक सीमित नहीं है. दुनियाभर में ऐसा ही होता है. रिटायर्ड आर्मी कर्नल Karl Nell ने भी Grush के दावे को सच बताया है, यूएस भी यूएफओ क्रेश वाली साइट्स पर जाकर जानकारी जुटाने की कोशिश करता है और ऐसी साइट्स से मिली चीजों की इंजनीयरिंग समझने की कोशिश भी.

उपराष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ ने कांग्रेस के पूर्व अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी द्वारा अमेरिका में दिए गए उनके एक बयान को लेकर उन पर परोक्ष रूप से कटाक्ष करते हुए मंगलवार को कहा कि उन लोगों का संज्ञान लेने के लिए ‘रियरव्यू मिरर' में देखा जाना चाहिए, जो देश की संस्थाओं को कलंकित और बर्बाद करने निकले हैं. उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि 2047 तक भारत दुनिया का अव्वल राष्ट्र बन जाएगा. धनखड़ ने अपने आधिकारिक आवास पर रक्षा संपदा सेवा अधिकारियों के एक बैच को संबोधित करते हुए कहा, ‘‘हममें से कुछ लोग गर्व नहीं करते...गुमराह लोग देश की उपलब्धियों और क्षमता को लेकर भ्रम में रहते हैं.''

उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि देश के भीतर और बाहर कुछ लोग हैं, जो ‘हमारी जांच-परख करने' का प्रयास करते हैं. उपराष्ट्रपति ने कहा, ‘‘हम दूसरों को हमारी जांच-परख करने की अनुमति नहीं दे सकते. उनकी जांच-परख वस्तुनिष्ठ नहीं है. भारत का उदय कुछ लोगों को पच नहीं रहा है, क्योंकि यह देश शांति एवं स्थिरता और दुनिया में सद्भाव में विश्वास करता है.''

उन्होंने राहुल गांधी पर परोक्ष रूप से कटाक्ष करते हुए मंगलवार को कहा कि उन लोगों का संज्ञान लेने के लिए ‘रियरव्यू मिरर' में देखा जाना चाहिए, जो देश की संस्थाओं को कलंकित और बर्बाद करने निकले हैं. उल्लेखनीय है कि कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) तथा राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ (आरएसएस) को भविष्य की ओर देखने में ‘अक्षम' करार दिया था और प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा था कि वह केवल पीछे (रियरव्यू मिरर) देखकर भारतीय कार चलाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं, जो ‘एक के बाद एक हादसों' का कारण बनेगा.
