Congess Leaders Spar Over Kamal Nath's Leadership For Madhya Pradesh Poll

Two senior Congress leaders sparred over the choice of Madhya Pradesh unit president Kamal Nath as the party's chief ministerial face for the state Assembly polls likely to be held at the end of the year.

The war of words between Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Govind Singh and Kamal Nath loyalist MLA Sajjan Singh Verma took place after a meeting on Madhya Pradesh poll preparations was held in Delhi on May 29, which was attended by party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi.

After attending the meeting, Govind Singh had said, "The Congress is a democratic party. It is not the Congress tradition to announce the CM face in advance. The public will elect the MLAs, who will further choose the CM." Hitting back, Sajjan Singh Verma said, "Govind Singh ji sometimes forgets whether MLAs have elected him as the leader of the opposition? No, he was not elected by MLAs. He was senior so we also agreed on his appointment as leader of opposition." Sajjan Singh Verma said the people of Madhya Pradesh and party leaders want Kamal Nath as the state's CM, adding that Goivnd Singh should behave the way in which he expects others to do with him.

"All 22 present (in Rahul Gandhi's meeting) had accepted Kamal Nath as their leader. This is on record. All leaders accepted that the 2023 polls will be fought under Kamal Nath's leadership," Sajjan Singh Verma asserted.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Sajjan Singh Verma issued a video statement claiming his comment had been wrongly interpreted by the media.

"It is true all the senior leaders have decided to contest Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls under the leadership of Kamal Nath... I have said several times he is our party's leader," he said.

Govind Singh, however, maintained the chief minister is selected after the elections and in the legislature party.

Meanwhile, Congress Rajya Sabha member Digvijaya Singh also said party leaders want the polls to be fought under Kamal Nath's leadership.

Conmen Using Foreign Numbers For Committing Cybercrimes: Chattisgarh Cop

Nigerian nationals and Chinese gangs are allegedly trapping innocent people on the pretext of offering money for performing easy tasks online or on the promise of lucrative returns by investing in cryptocurrencies, said a police officer.

Moreover, it has been noticed recently that fraudsters across India are targeting people by using foreign mobile numbers and impersonating foreign nationals.

"As per the recent trends, conmen are using foreign numbers for committing cybercrimes with different modus-operandi," said AIG (technical services) Kavi Gupta.

Sharing more details about the modus-operandi, the officer said, "In some cases, the tricksters using foreign numbers make video calls to people and when it was picked up by the latter, the former immediately film their obscene videos. On the threat of making the video of victims viral, they extort money from them. As another means of tricking people, fraudsters contact people by using foreign numbers and offer jobs. If anyone expresses his/her desire for the offer, the conmen take the victims to a telegram group and ask them to perform some tasks (like liking videos online) and pay Rs 150-300 for completing each task. Eventually, the tricksters ask the victims to make an investment and once anyone starts investing, they begin demanding money on different excuses."

"Similarly, it has been noticed that cybercriminals are committing crimes either by using foreign numbers or virtual numbers," the AIG added.

On being asked about the involvement of foreign nationals in cybercrimes (particularly online forgeries), the officer responded that on several occasions the roles of foreign nationals, and activities of Nigerian citizens have been noticed.

The AIG said, "Moreover, in some cases, the involvement of Chinese and Chinese gangs was also reported. In some cases, people here impersonate foreign nationals to commit the forgeries."

Describing the investment in cryptocurrencies as high risk and requiring technical knowledge, the officer exhorted people not to fall into the trap of those promising higher returns through investment in cryptocurrencies.

ओडिशा के बालासोर में हुए रेल हादसे की जांच अब सीबीआई करेगी. सूत्रों के अनुसार रेल मंत्रालय ने इस हादसे की जांच सीबीआई से करने की मांग की है. रेल मंत्रालय की मांग के बाद इसे लेकर डीओपीटी एक अधिसूचना जारी करेगा. अधिसूचना जारी होने के बाद सीबीआई इस घटना को लेकर एक मामला दर्ज कर अपनी जांच शुरू करेगी. बता दें कि बालासोर में हुए रेल हादसे में अभी तक 275 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है. जबकि बड़ी संख्या में घायलों का इलाज चल रहा है.

Uttarakhand Temples Ban "Scantily-Clad Men, Women" From Entering

Temple authorities in Uttarakhand's Haridwar, Rishikesh and Dehradun districts have imposed a ban on the entry of devotees not wearing appropriate clothing.

Mahant Ravindra Puri, secretary of the Mahanirvani Panchayati Akhara, on Sunday said a formal ban has been imposed on the entry of "scantily-clad men and women" into the Daksh Prajapati Mandir (Haridwar), Tapkeshwar Mahadev Mandir (Dehradun) and the Neelkanth Mahadev Mandir (Rishikesh).

"Only women who have their bodies covered up to 80 per cent can enter these temples," Puri, who is also president of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, said.

The ban comes into effect immediately at these temples affiliated to the Mahanirvani Panchayati Akhara, he said.

Mahanirvani Panchayati Akhara consists of the Dashnam Naga seers.

Puri said the ban will soon be extended to akhara-affiliated temples across the country.

Asked about the necessity to impose the ban, Puri said, "Sometimes people entering the temples are so skimpily dressed that one feels ashamed to even look at them." "The Daksheshwar Mahadev Mandir -- also known as the Daksh Prajapati Mandir -- at Kankhal in Haridwar is considered the home of Lord Shiva's in-laws. People from all over the world visit the temple.

"Every Monday, the temple receives a stream of devotees. Today's youths come to the temple wearing clothes that reflect their total disregard for its sanctity," Puri said.

He further said that these clothing "hurts the religious sentiments of the devout" who often come to the temple committee to lodge complaints.

The ban follows repeated complaints, he said, and warned that those who violate the ban will be dealt with sternly.

The imposition of the ban has also found support among seers in Haridwar.

"The sanctity of the temples must be maintained and people inside their precincts should conduct themselves accordingly. The ban is in accordance with Sanatan Dharma," Katha Vyas (professional narrator of mythological stories) Madhusudan Shastri said.

गैंगस्टर लॉरेंस बिश्नोई का फिरौती मांगने का एक ऑडियो आया, बुकी को कच्चा चबाने की धमकी

कुख्यात गैंगस्टर लॉरेंस बिश्नोई का फिरौती मांगने का एक ऑडियो सामने आया है. जेल के अंदर से लॉरेंस बिश्नोई ने एक बड़े बिजनसमैन और बुकी से लाखों की फिरौती मांगी थी. दिल्ली पुलिस के सूत्रों का दावा है कि यह ऑडियो लॉरेंस बिश्नोई का है. इसमें लॉरेंस बुकी सचिन जैन को कच्चा चबाने की धमकी दे रहा है. 

सूत्रों के अनुसार ऑडियो में जिस 'गूगल' को लॉरेंस धमका रहा है वह एक फर्म का नाम है, जिसमें तीन पार्टनर हैं. इसी कंपनी के एक मालिक सचिन जैन को लॉरेंस फिरौती के लिए धमका रहा था. उसने उससे बाद में 40 लाख रुपये वसूले भी थे.

गूगल: बाऊजी आपका फोन कट गया था, मैंने कहा. 
लॉरेंस: तू पहचानता ही नहीं गूगल न भाई. तू रिकॉर्डिंग लगानी है तो लगा तू लेना. जिस दिन कोई हत्थे चढ़ गया ना तुम में से कोई भी, या तेरे आसपास के, नजदीक के या परिवार के लोगों को तो मैं कच्चा चबा जाऊंगा. ये मेरी रिकॉर्डिंग कर लेना बाद में केस करने में आसानी होगी तुमको.
 

गूगल: किस चीज का केस करने में आसानी होगी, जब मैंने काम .... ही बंद कर दिया, तो मैं किस चीज के केस और किस चीज... वो मैं इतने पैसे हार गया कि.. मैं खत्म कर चुका हूं काम, तीन महीने पहले, जरा पता तो कर लो बाजार में किसी से.
लॉरेंस (हंसते हुए): अच्छा, किसी को बता देना कि मैंने फोन किया था..मैंने खाली फोन किए ही नहीं कभी. हमारे नाम पर फ्रॉड फोन चले गए अभी तक जितने गए हैं.
 

गूगल: बाऊ जी, आपको किसी ने गलत नंबर दे दिया है. मैं तो छोड़ चुका हूं सारे काम ही.
लॉरेंस: बस, अब सब कुछ ही छोड़ देगा भाई. राम-राम, दोबारा नहीं करेंगे आपको फोन.

सूत्रों के मुताबिक इस बुकी से लॉरेंस ने 40 लाख रुपये वसूले थे. यह राशि आगे गोल्डी बरार तक पहुंची थी. इस पैसे का इस्तेमाल सिद्धू मूसेवाला की हत्या करने के लिए हथियार खरीदने के लिए किया गया था. इस बात का खुलासा एनआईए की लॉरेंस की इंटेरोगेशन रिपोर्ट में भी है.

सूत्रों के मुताबिक यह बुकी भी जांच एजेंसियों के रडार पर है और फिलहाल दुबई में है.

पटना में 12 जून को होने वाली विपक्ष की बड़ी बैठक टली, लोकसभा चुनाव पर होना था मंथन - सूत्र

इस महीने की 12 तारीख को होने वाली विपक्षी दलों की बैठक को फिलहाल टाल दिया गया है. सूत्रों के अनुसार कांग्रेस और डीएमके के अनुरोध पर फिलहाल इस बैठक को टाला गया है. इस बैठक में 2024 में होने वाले लोकसभा चुनाव को लेकर रणनीति पर चर्चा करने की बात की जा रही थी. विपक्ष के एक बड़े नेता ने एनडीटीवी से कुछ दिन पहले कहा था कि ये एक "तैयारी बैठक" है. इसे मुख्य बैठक मत समझिए, प्रमुख बैठक तो बाद में होगी. 

ऐसे तय हुई तारीख

बैठक की तारीख बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार, जिन्होंने 2024 के आम चुनावों से पहले विपक्षी एकता के लिए वार्ताकार के रूप में कार्य करने के लिए स्वेच्छा से काम किया, के कुछ दिन बाद ही तय की गई थी. उन्होंने दिल्ली में कांग्रेस प्रमुख मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे और राहुल गांधी से मुलाकात की थी. 

विपक्ष को एकजुट करने में जुटे नीतीश कुमार

नीतीश कुमार सभी समान विचारधारा वाले विपक्षी दलों को एक साथ लाने की योजना बना रहे हैं. और इसके लिए ममता बनर्जी, अरविंद केजरीवाल और समाजवादी पार्टी के प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव जैसे नेताओं को समझा पाने में सफल रहे हैं.  खास बात ये है कि ये वही नेता है जो कांग्रेस को लेकर आक्रामक रहे हैं.  

ममता भी नीतीश के साथ

ममता बनर्जी पहले ही नीतीश कुमार के प्रस्ताव पर अपनी मुहर लगा चुकी हैं. उन्होंने कुछ दिन पहले कहा था कि जिस क्षेत्र या राज्य में जो पार्टी सबसे मजबूत है, उन्हें ही आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव में विपक्ष की अगुवाई करते हुए चुनाव लड़ना चाहिए. उन्होंने तो 200 सीटों पर कांग्रेस को भी समर्थन देने की बात कही थी.
