बाइडन के यात्रा स्थगित करने के बाद ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने क्वाड नेताओं की बैठक रद्द की

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडन के ऑस्ट्रेलिया की अपनी यात्रा को स्थगित करने के बाद प्रधानमंत्री एंथनी अल्बनीज ने 24 मई को सिडनी में होने वाली क्वाड नेताओं की बैठक को बुधवार को रद्द कर दिया. उन्होंने इस सप्ताहांत जापान में होने वाले जी-7 शिखर सम्मेलन के इतर प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी सहित समूह के चार नेताओं के मिलने का संकेत दिया. बाइडन ने मंगलवार को घोषणा की कि थी वह अपनी ऑस्ट्रेलिया, पापुआ न्यू गिनी की यात्रा को रद्द करेंगे.

इतिहास में पहली बार अमेरिकी ऋण अदायगी में चूक को रोकने के लिए बाइडन विपक्षी दल रिपब्लिकन पार्टी से इस मुद्दे पर चर्चा करने वाले हैं और उन्होंने अनिश्चितता एवं गंभीर व्यापक बातचीत का हवाला देते हुए अपनी ऑस्ट्रेलिया यात्रा रद्द करने का फैसला किया है. अल्बनीज ने न्यू साउथ वेल्स के ट्वीड हेड्स शहर में कहा, ‘‘सिडनी में क्वाड नेताओं की बैठक अगले सप्ताह नहीं होगी.''

अल्बनीज ने कहा कि ऑस्ट्रेलिया, अमेरिका, भारत और जापान के नेता अब इस सप्ताह के अंत में जापान के हिरोशिमा में होने वाले जी7 शिखर सम्मेलन में मुलाकात करेंगे. उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘जापान में क्वाड नेताओं के बीच चर्चा होगी. मैं प्रधानमंत्री (फुमियो) किशिदा को जी7 में भाग लेने के लिए मुझे निमंत्रण देने के लिए धन्यवाद देता हूं. क्वाड एक महत्वपूर्ण निकाय है और हम यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहते हैं कि यह नेतृत्व के स्तर पर हो और हम सप्ताहांत में इस पर चर्चा करेंगे.''

अल्बनीज ने कहा, ‘‘इसे एक जून से पहले हल करना होगा - अन्यथा अमेरिकी अर्थव्यवस्था के लिए काफी गंभीर परिणाम होंगे जिसका वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था पर भी असर पड़ेगा. उन्हें विवेकपूर्ण तरीके से कोई फैसला लेना होगा.'' प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि बाइडन इस बात से ‘‘खुश नहीं'' हैं कि वह ऑस्ट्रेलिया नहीं आ पा रहे हैं इसलिए क्वाड नेताओं ने इसके बजाय हिरोशिमा में जी-7 देशों के नेताओं के सम्मेलन से इतर बैठक का फैसला किया है.

अल्बनीज ने कहा, ‘‘सभी चारों नेता - राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडन (अमेरिका), प्रधानमंत्री फुमियो किशिदा (जापान), प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी (भारत) और मैं शनिवार और रविवार को हिरोशिमा में होने वाली जी-7 की बैठक में रहेंगे. हम उस दौरान मुलाकात की कोशिश कर रहे हैं और मैं राष्ट्रपति बाइडन के साथ द्विपक्षीय चर्चा भी करने वाला हूं.'' उन्होंने कहा कि उनके भारतीय समकक्ष क्वाड नेताओं की बैठक रद्द होने के बावजूद अगले सप्ताह ऑस्ट्रेलिया की यात्रा करेंगे और वह उनका स्वागत करने के लिए उत्सुक हैं.

अल्बनीज से पूछा गया कि 24 मई को सिडनी में प्रस्तावित क्वाड नेताओं की बैठक रद्द होने के बाद भी प्रधानमंत्री मोदी सिडनी आयेंगे या नहीं, इस पर उन्होंने कहा कि मोदी ऑस्ट्रेलिया की यात्रा पर आयेंगे. अल्बनीज ने ब्रिस्बेन में ‘एबीसी रेडियो' से कहा, ‘‘प्रधानमंत्री मोदी मेरे साथ द्विपक्षीय बैठक के लिए अगले सप्ताह यहां आयेंगे.'' उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी व्यापारिक बैठकें भी करेंगे और सिडनी में ओलंपिक स्थल होमबश में एक सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रम में शामिल होंगे. उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘मैं सिडनी में उनका स्वागत करने के लिए उत्सुक हूं.''

उन्होंने संकेत दिया कि बाइडन की घोषणा के मद्देनजर जापान के प्रधानमंत्री किशिदा अपनी यात्रा रद्द करेंगे. उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘किशिदा केवल क्वाड बैठक में शामिल होने के लिए आ रहे थे. कोई अलग द्विपक्षीय कार्यक्रम नहीं था.''

CBI ने स्वतंत्र पत्रकार और नौसेना के पूर्व कमांडर को जासूसी मामले में किया गिरफ्तार

नई दिल्ली: केन्द्रीय अन्वेषण ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) ने स्वतंत्र पत्रकार विवेक रघुवंशी और नौसेना के पूर्व कमांडर आशीष पाठक को कथित तौर पर रक्षा मामलों से जुड़ी संवेदनशील सूचनाओं को गैरकानूनी रूप से एकत्रित करने और उन्हें विदेशी खुफिया एजेंसियों के साथ साझा करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है. अधिकारियों ने बुधवार को यह जानकारी दी. उन्होंने बताया कि रघुवंशी और पाठक को विशेष सीबीआई अदालत के समक्ष पेश किया गया, जहां से दोनों को छह दिन की सीबीआई हिरासत में भेज दिया गया.

सीबीआई ने दिल्ली पुलिस के विशेष प्रकोष्ठ से जांच अपने हाथ में ली थी, जो पिछले साल सितंबर से रघुवंशी का पता लगाने की कोशिश कर रही थी, जब उसे सूचना मिली थी कि कुछ भारतीय पत्रकार वैसी सूचनाएं जुटाने के बाद विदेशी खुफिया एजेंसियों के साथ साझा कर रहे हैं, जिनसे मित्र देशों के साथ संबंध प्रभावित हो सकते हैं.

रघुवंशी के खिलाफ प्राथमिकी दर्ज करने के बाद सीबीआई ने मंगलवार को जयपुर और राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र (एनसीआर) में रघुवंशी और उसके करीबी लोगों से जुड़े 12 स्थानों पर छापेमारी की थी. प्राथमिकी के मुताबिक, ‘‘विशेष प्रकोष्ठ द्वारा प्राप्त जानकारी से पता चला कि एक पत्रकार अवैध रूप से सशस्त्र बलों की भविष्य की खरीद और हमारे मित्र देशों के साथ भारत की रणनीतिक और राजनयिक वार्ता से संबंधित संवेदनशील विवरण एकत्र कर रहा था, जिससे इन देशों के साथ भारत के संबंध प्रभावित हो सकते हैं.''

विशेष प्रकोष्ठ द्वारा दर्ज प्राथमिकी के मुताबिक, रघुवंशी ने कथित तौर पर इस तरह की जानकारियां हासिल कीं और इन्हें विदेशों की खुफिया एजेंसियों को उपलब्ध कराया. रक्षा एवं रणनीतिक मामलों के एक अमेरिकी पोर्टल की वेबसाइट पर रघुवंशी का नाम उसके भारतीय संवाददाता के तौर पर सूचीबद्ध है.

सीबीआई ने रघुवंशी तथा नौसेना के पूर्व कमांडर आशीष पाठक के खिलाफ सरकारी गोपनीयता अधिनियम की धारा 3 (जासूसी) तथा भारतीय दंड संहिता की धारा 120-बी (आपराधिक साजिश) के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है. अधिकारियों ने बताया कि छापे के दौरान कई संवेदनशील दस्तावेज बरामद किए गए और उन्हें विधिक जांच के लिये भेजा गया है.

Police, Anti-Terror Agency Raids On Gangsters' Hideouts Across Punjab

The Punjab Police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) today carried out raids on hideouts of gangsters and anti-social elements across the state, Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said here.

The cordon-and-search operations were conducted in all 28 police districts of the state, he said, adding the NIA carried out raids at 58 locations and the state police at 143.

At least 125 teams of the Punjab Police having more than 1,200 personnel were involved, Mr Yadav said.

In an official statement, the DGP said commissioners and senior superintendents of police were directed to personally monitor the raids and make teams available so that the operation could be carried out simultaneously.

The raids were planned after questioning recently arrested gangsters and criminals, he added.

Special DGP (Law and order) Arpit Shukla said the police teams conducted in-depth searches and collected data from mobile phones and other electronic devices which will be sent for forensic examination.

He said several people were also detained during the operation.

Mr Shukla added the police teams checked arms licences and questioned people about their sources of ammunition, besides gathering details of their family members based abroad and bank transactions done from foreign countries.

A Punjab Police statement said the operation was aimed at disrupting the nexus of anti-social elements.

The NIA also conducted raids at four locations in Haryana's Gurugram district and one location in Nuh on Wednesday morning, during which it interrogated people and seized documents for further investigation, officials said.

Police teams from the district accompanied the NIA during the raids, they added.

In Gurugram, the agency raided the house of stamp vendor Sudhir alias Khunti at Naharpur Rupa. A senior police officer said Sudhir is acquainted with jailed gangster Kaushal and has also been in constant contact with him.

The NIA also raided a house in Sector 31 in search of a businessman and found that he resides in Canada now, the officer said. The house of jailed gangster Yashpal alias Sarpanch in the Pataudi area was raided, besides that of Sanjay Panchal in the Shivaji Nagar colony.

यूरोपीय संघ के नियमों को देखें: जयशंकर ने रूसी तेल पर भारत के खिलाफ कार्रवाई के आह्वान पर कहा

नई दिल्ली: विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने मॉस्को पर पश्चिमी प्रतिबंधों के विपरीत रूस के कच्चे तेल को परिष्कृत ईंधन के रूप में यूरोप में फिर से बेचने को लेकर भारत पर कार्रवाई के यूरोपीय संघ के विदेश और सुरक्षा नीति प्रमुख जोसेप बोरेल के आह्वान को लगभग नामंजूर कर दिया है. बोरेल ने मंगलवार को कहा कि ब्रसेल्स को पता है कि भारतीय रिफाइनर बड़ी मात्रा में रूसी कच्चे तेल की खरीद कर रहे हैं और इसे यूरोप में बिक्री के लिए ईंधन में संसाधित कर रहे हैं.

उन्होंने ‘द फाइनेंशियल टाइम्स' से कहा कि यूरोपीय संघ को इसे रोकने के लिए कार्रवाई करनी चाहिए. यूरोपीय संघ के उच्च प्रतिनिधि बोरेल ने कहा, 'अगर डीजल या गैसोलीन यूरोप में प्रवेश कर रहा है. भारत से आ रहा है और रूसी तेल के साथ उत्पादित किया जा रहा है, तो यह निश्चित रूप से प्रतिबंधों का उल्लंघन है और सदस्य देशों को उपाय करना होगा.'

उनकी यह टिप्पणी ब्रसेल्स में जयशंकर के साथ बैठक से पहले आई. बोरेल की टिप्पणियों पर एक प्रेस वार्ता के दौरान एक सवाल के जवाब में जयशंकर ने कहा कि भारत का निर्यात यूरोपीय संघ के किसी भी नियम का उल्लंघन नहीं करता. विदेश मंत्री ने यह भी कहा कि बोरेल को यूरोपीय संघ परिषद विनियमन 833/2014 को देखना चाहिए.

विनियमन का उद्देश्य रूस से कच्चे तेल और पेट्रोलियम उत्पादों के आयात पर प्रतिबंध से संबंधित मुद्दों से निपटना है. जयशंकर ने कहा, 'मैं वास्तव में आपके प्रश्न का आधार नहीं देखता क्योंकि (यूरोपीय) परिषद के नियमों के बारे में मेरी समझ यह है कि यदि रूसी कच्चे तेल को किसी तीसरे देश में संसाधित किया जाता है, तो इसे फिर रूसी नहीं माना जाता है.'

उन्होंने कहा, 'मैं आपसे परिषद विनियमन 833/2014 को देखने का आग्रह करूंगा. 'यूक्रेन पर रूसी आक्रमण के मद्देनजर खरीद को लेकर पश्चिम में बढ़ती बेचैनी से प्रभावित हुए बिना भारत पिछले कुछ महीनों में रूस से रियायती कच्चे तेल का प्रमुख आयातक बन गया है. मंगलवार को बोरेल और जयशंकर ने पहली यूरोपीय संघ-भारत व्यापार और प्रौद्योगिकी परिषद (टीटीसी) बैठक से इतर बातचीत की. 

यूरोपीय संघ ने एक बयान में कहा कि बोरेल ने वर्तमान जी20 अध्यक्ष के रूप में भारत के काम की सराहना की, और इस क्षमता में समूह के बाहर के देशों के विविध हितों को भी हल करने के उसके प्रयासों की प्रशंसा की. बयान में कहा गया कि बोरेल ने जयशंकर से कहा कि भारत को यूक्रेन की शांति पहल का समर्थन तथा काला सागर अनाज पहल के महत्वपूर्ण विस्तार पर सहमति के लिए रूस से आग्रह करना चाहिए. वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल तथा संचार एवं सूचना-प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव के साथ जयशंकर टीटीसी में भाग लेने के लिए ब्रसेल्स में थे.

Man Beaten To Death In Front Of His Mother By His Friend: Cops

A 28-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death with a stick by his friend in front of the victim's mother over some issue in Korba district of Chhattisgarh, police said on Wednesday.

Basant Kanwar suffered serious injuries on his chest and head after he was brutally thrashed by his childhood friend Raj Singh Kanwar (27) in Bhulsidih village under Balco police station area on Sunday (May 14), they said.

He later succumbed to injuries at a hospital in Bilaspur on Tuesday, they said.

Basant's mother Jamuna Bai told the police that Raj, who lives in her neighbourhood, lost his parents at an early age following which he was being taken care of by her, he said.

Raj and Basant were best friends since childhood and Basant's mother treated Raj like her son, he said.

On Sunday evening, Raj, who was heavily drunk, asked Basant to come out of the house and started allegedly thrashing him with a stick. Basant's mother pleaded Raj to spare his son but he continued to attack him, he said.

On hearing his screams, other family members and locals ran towards the duo, but the accused escaped from the spot, he said.

Basant was immediately shifted to the Korba district hospital, from where he was referred to Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) in neighbouring Bilaspur district where he succumbed during treatment on Tuesday evening, he said.

The exact reason behind the assault was not immediately known and further investigation is underway, he said.

A case was registered in this connection and efforts are on to trace the accused who is missing, he said.

सिनेमा का हाल - क्यों है बेहाल? PVR बंद कर रहा 50 स्क्रीन, क्या ये है OTT का असर?

कोरोना संकट के कारण देश में सिनेमा थिएटर को भारी नुकसान का सामना करना पड़ा. कोविड के बाद भी उनकी कमाई में उस स्तर की नहीं हुई जिससे हुए नुकसान को खत्म किया जा सके. थिएटरों में पहुंचने वाले दर्शकों की संख्या लगातार कम होती जा रही है. कई लोग इसके लिए ओटीटी प्लेटफॉर्म के बढ़ते क्रेज को जिम्मेदार बता रहे हैं. हालांकि बॉलीवुड सिनेमा के कंटेंट को लेकर भी सवाल उठते रहे हैं और लोगों का मानना रहा है कि अगर कंटेंट अच्छे बनेंगे तो लोग जरूर थिएटरों में पहुंचेंगे. इस बीच जानकारी यह है कि PVR आने वाले समय में अपने 50 स्क्रीन को बंद करने जा रहा है. 

मार्च तिमाही में कंपनी को 333 करोड़ का घाटा

जानकारी के अनुसार  PVR Inox अगले छह महीने में 50 स्क्रीन बंद करने जा रही है. मार्च तिमाही में कंपनी को 333 करोड़ का घाटा हुआ है. महाराष्ट्र में 80% सिंगल स्क्रीन थिएटर पहले ही बंद हो चुके हैं. थियेटर मालिकों का दावा है कि बॉलीवुड ख़राब कंटेंट बना रहा है. वहीं OTT में दमदार कहानी और एक्टिंग लोगों को देखने को मिल रही है. 

ओटीटी लोगों को आकर्षित कर रहा है

लोगों का मानना है कि ओटीटी प्लैटफॉर्म पर अच्छे कंटेंट बनाए जा रहे हैं. और इस पर महीने में औसत 149-199 रुपये ही खर्च होते हैं. वहीं मल्टीप्लेक्स में इतने में सिर्फ पॉपकॉर्न मिलते हैं.दर्शकों को जो आजादी OTT पर मिलती है वो थिएटरों में नहीं मिल पाती है. निर्माताओं को फ़िल्म बनने से पहले मेहनत करनी चाहिए. एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार कोविडकाल के बाद 2.4 करोड़ लोगों ने थियेटर जाना बंद कर दिया है.  दर्शकों का कहना है कि ओटीटी पर अच्छे कंटेंट बन रहे हैं. हम थियेटर में सिर्फ़ वैसी फ़िल्में देखने जाते हैं जो बड़ी स्क्रीन पर देखने लायक हो. 

"बॉलीवुड ने इतना बुरा दौर कभी नहीं देखा था"

निर्माता और G7 मल्टीप्लेक्स के दो सिंगल स्क्रीन थियेटरों के एग्जीक्यूटिव डायरेक्टर मनोज देसाई ने एनडीटीवी से बात करते हुए कहा कि बीते 51 सालों से सिनेमा बिज़नेस में हूं. लेकिन बॉलीवुड ने इतना बुरा दौर कभी नहीं देखा था.

Dowry Torture Allegations Against 2 Leaders Of Naveen Patnaik's Party

In a major embarrassment to the ruling BJD in Odisha, at least two senior leaders of the party are embroiled in alleged domestic violence and dowry torture cases even as Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik bats for women empowerment in Odisha.

The two are Rajya Sabha MP AU Singhdeo, who is from the erstwhile royal family of Bolangir, and Kendrapara MLA Shashi Bhusan Behera. Both leaders and their families have been accused by their respective daughters-in-law.

Mr Singhdeo's daughter-in-law Adrija Manjari Singh has lodged a complaint with Dehradun police alleging domestic violence and dowry torture against her husband Arkesh Narayan Singh Deo and her in-laws.

Arkesh is a well-known model. He had unsuccessfully contested the Bolangir assembly seat in 2019. Adrija is the granddaughter of former prime minister VP Singh.

The MP's father RN Singh Deo was the last ruler of the princely state of Patna in Odisha before Independence and was the state chief minister from 1967 to 1971.

Adrija is currently residing in Dehradun with her family. As no action was taken in response to her complaint, she met the Uttakhand director general of police and the case has now been transferred to the Dehradun additional superintendent of police, sources said.

In a video message that has gone viral in Odia television news channels, she said, “My husband sought divorce in August of 2022. In September 2022, I filed a complaint at the Rajpur police station in Dehradun against my father-in-law Ananga Udaya Singh Deo, mother-in-law Bijayalaxmi Devi, my brother-in-law Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, his wife Meghna Rana and my husband.

"They wanted to remove me from the house and stopped my entry to Odisha. I am the daughter-in-law of that family and have the right to stay there,” Adrija said.

Arkesh has refuted the allegations. “The charges are false. The matter is currently sub-judice in Dehradun Court. I have complete faith in the judiciary. The truth will come to the fore soon,” he said.

Mr Behera's daughter-in-law Ronali (31) too has lodged a complaint against the lawmaker and his family members at Banki police station in Cuttack district accusing them of torturing her mentally and physically for a dowry of Rs 40 lakh.

Ronali is married to Mr Behera's son Satyaprakash since March 2021.

She has in her complaint also accused her husband of being in an illicit relationship with a married woman. The charge has been denied by Mr Behera.

The lawmaker, who had formally requested invitees not to carry gifts for his son's wedding, said “There might be some personal problem between my son and daughter-in-law. But, the allegation of dowry torture is absolutely false.

"People of Odisha know me very well. I have never promoted dowry in my life. While inviting guests to my son's wedding party, I had requested all not to bring any gifts,” he added.

Ronali, who has shifted to her parent's house at Banki in Cuttack district, insisted that Mr Behera had remained silent all along. “I was subjected to mental and physical abuse by my husband as well as parents in-law, sister-in-law and others,” she alleged.

She also alleged that she was being constantly harassed to meet their financial demands.

BJD MP from Kendrapara Anubhav Mohanty too has been accused of alleged domestic violence and is fighting a legal battle against his actor wife Barsha Priyadarshini. Following it has been sidelined in the party, BJD sources said.

Barsha had campaigned for the party's candidates in different elections.

In the past BJD veteran and the state's former law minister Raghunath Mohanty was arrested and imprisoned in connection with a domestic violence case filed by his daughter-in-law Barsa Swony Choudhury in 2013. After being sidelined in BJD, he has now joined BJD.

In another instance in 2021, the Bhopal police had registered a case of dowry harassment against BJD's six-time MP Bhartruhari Mahatab, his wife Maheswata and son Lokranjan on the complaint of the daughter-in-law Sakshi. Bhartuhari Mahtab is the son of Odisha's first chief minister Harekrushna Mahatab.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while celebrating victory of Dipali Das over her victory in the Jharsuguda by-poll last week, had said that girls are the "pride” of Odisha and his government works for the empowerment of women.

The party, however, declined to make any comment when contacted.
