शक्ति अरोड़ा ने छोड़ा 'कुंडली भाग्य', 28 साल की उम्र में नहीं करना चाहते थे 80 साल के पिता का रोल

शक्ति अरोड़ा छोटे पर्दे के मशहूर कलाकारों में से एक हैं. वह कुंडली भाग्य सीरियल में अपनी एक्टिंग से दर्शकों के दिलों को जीत चुके हैं. वह इस शो से नौ महीने पहले जुड़े थे, लेकिन अब शक्ति अरोड़ा ने कुंडली भाग्य को छोड़ दिया है. उन्होंने यह फैसला अपने किरदार के कारण लिया है. शक्ति अरोड़ा की उम्र 28 साल है. ऐसे में उन्हें एक बुजुर्ग पिता का रोल करने के लिए कहा जा रहा था. जिसके कारण शक्ति अरोड़ा ने कुंडली भाग्य सीरियल से खुद को अलग कर लिया है. 

शो छोड़ने को लेकर शक्ति अरोड़ा ने अंग्रेजी वेबसाइट हिंदुस्तान टाइम्स से बातचीत की. इस दौरान उन्होंने कहा, 'मैं 28 साल की उम्र में एक पिता की भूमिका नहीं करना चाहता था. जहां हमारी उम्र में सिर्फ 4-5 साल का फर्क हो, वहां मैं उसे बेटा बोलूं . यह एक मुख्य कारण है शो छोड़ने का.' इतना ही नहीं शक्ति अरोड़ा ने यह भी खुलासा किया है कि वह कुंडली भाग्य में सेकेंड लीड एक्टर का रोल करने से खुश नहीं थे क्योंकि वह कभी इसके लीड एक्टर थे.

शक्ति अरोड़ा ने कहा, 'आप सेंटर स्टेज खो देते हैं. जब तक मैं शो में था, पूरी कहानी मेरे इर्द-गिर्द घूम रही थी. मैं करण और अर्जुन (करण लूथरा और अर्जुन सूर्यवंशी) का किरदार निभा रहा था. एक अभिनेता के रूप में यह मेरे लिए अच्छा और रोमांचक था. मजा आ रहा था काम करके क्योंकि टेलीविजन में इतना अच्छा काम मिलना मुश्किल होता है. लेकिन जैसे ही मुझे पता चला कि सेंटर स्टेज किसी और को दिया जाएगा, मैंने कहा 'ठीक है, मैं शांति से बाहर निकल जाऊंगा और अब दूसरे लोगों को शो का नियंत्रण लेने दूंगा.'

अभिनेता ने आगे कहा, 'मैं रहूंगा शो के आखिरी तक बशर्ते आप मुझे मेरी उम्र का ही रखेंगे. आप अचानक से 30 साल के व्यक्ति को 80 साल के बुजुर्ग की तरह नहीं दिखा सकते. मैंने इस तरह के रोल किए हैं. पहले में ऐसे ही रोल करता था. इसलिए, मैं एक स्तर नीचे नहीं जाना चाहता. मैं आगे बढ़ना चाहता हूं, जहां मैं ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण भूमिकाएं निभाऊं, जो संदेश देने वाली, जिंदगी को बदलने वाली, रोमांचकारी हों. मैं उन शैलियों का पता लगाना चाहूंगा, जो मैंने अभी तक नहीं की हैं.' इसके अलावा शक्ति अरोड़ा ने और भी बातें की हैं.

2 Killed, 10 Rescued After Cold Storage Roof Collapses In UP's Sambhal

Two people were killed and some others were feared trapped under the rubble when the roof of a cold storage building collapsed in Chandausi on Thursday, a senior police officer said.

10 people had been rescued, Deputy Inspector General of Police Salabh Mathur said. Rescue workers were still working to bring others to safety.

District Magistrate Manish Bansal said personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and district administration are carrying out relief and rescue operations.

Superintendent of Police Chakresh Mishra had earlier said 15-20 people were feared trapped under the rubble.

The DIG said details of those who died are being collected.

SDM Chandausi, Ramkesh Dhama, said the roof of AR cold storage on Islam Nagar Road in Mai village collapsed .

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked officials to carry out immediate relief and rescue work.

"In view of the accident in the cold storage in Chandausi district of Sambhal, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the district administration officials, SDRF and NDRF teams to conduct immediate relief and rescue work by reaching the spot," the Chief Minister Office tweeted.

Chief Medical Officer Tarannum Raza told PTI that 15-20 ambulances and over half a dozen doctors are at the spot to help the injured. Oxygen cylinders have also been arranged.

Around six excavators have been pressed into service to clear the debris, officials said.

Sambhal is around 155 km from Delhi and over 350 km from Lucknow, the state capital.

The DIG said that some still trapped inside are alerting the rescuers by shouting.

Due to the presence of Ammonia gas cylinders in the cold storage, extra precaution is being taken while carrying out rescue work, the DIG said.

Additional lights have been arranged for carrying the operation which would continue till late night, he said.

जम्मू कश्मीर में चुनाव कराने की मांग को लेकर एकजुट हुए विपक्षी दल

जम्मू कश्मीर में चुनाव दिल्ली के कांस्टीट्यूशन क्लब में विपक्षी पार्टियों का सम्मिलित मुद्दा था. विपक्ष के नेताओं ने आज चुनाव आयुक्त से मुलाकात भी की. सबने फैसला किया कि जल्द पार्टियों का डेलीगेशन श्रीनगर जाएगा. जम्मू कश्मीर में चुनाव के मुद्दे पर विपक्ष में एकता नजर आई.

अलग-अलग विचारधारा वाले कई राजनीतिक दल आपस में मिले और सरकार से सवाल किया कि आख़िर जब जम्मू कश्मीर में सब कुछ ठीक है तो सरकार चुनाव क्यों नहीं करवा रही है?

नेशनल कॉन्फ्रेंस के नेता फारूक अब्दुल्ला, एनसीपी के नेता शरद पवार और सीपीआई के नेता सीताराम येचुरी ने कहा कि, जल्द चुनाव होने चाहिए. इस साल मई में एक ऑल पार्टी डेलीगेशन श्रीनगर जाएगा. उन्होंने कहा कि जम्मू कश्मीर में चुनाव होने चाहिए और स्टेटहुड भी वापस मिलना चाहिए. 

गृह मंत्रालय इस साल कई बार संसद में बता चुका है कि 2019 के बाद से जम्मू कश्मीर में हालात लगातार बेहतर होते जा रहे हैं. सन 2020 में जहां 37 आम नागरिक और 62 सुरक्षा कर्मी मारे गए थे, वहीं 2021 में 41 नागरिक और 42 सुरक्षा कर्मी मारे गए. साल 2022 में 30 आम नागरिक और 31 सुरक्षा जवान मारे गए. इस साल जनवरी तक सात आम नागरिक मारे गए.

आरजेडी के नेता मनोज झा ने कहा कि, दिल्ली का दरबार बड़ी-बड़ी बातें करता है. ब्यूरोक्रेसी से सब तंग हैं. आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता संजय सिंह ने कहा, लोकतंत्र बहाली होनी चाहिए.

जम्मू कश्मीर में आखिरी चुनाव 2014 में हुआ था. इसके बाद नौ साल बीत गए. आर्टिकल 370 को हटे हुए भी चार साल बीते जा रहे हैं. अब सब चाहते हैं कि केंद्र सरकार जल्द स्टेटहुड बहाल करे और चुनाव करवाए ताकि नौकरशाही से चलाई जा रही सरकार से वहां के अवाम को निजात मिल सके.

Drugs Worth Rs 7 Crore Recovered In Jammu And Kashmir's Baramulla

Security forces recovered narcotics worth about Rs 7 crore near the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Thursday.

"On March 15, while on a routine area domination patrol, troops of Dagger Division found a suspicious package just a few metres away from the LoC in Uri sector," a police official said.

He said a search operation by the security forces led to the recovery of approximately one kilogram of narcotics worth about Rs 7 crore from the general area of Churunda.

A case has been registered in this regard, the official said.

Tejashwi Yadav Challenges CBI Summons In Land-For-Jobs Case In High Court

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday challenged the summons issued by the CBI asking him to appear for questioning in the alleged land-for-jobs scam in the Delhi High Court. A bench led by Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma will hear his petition tomorrow.

Mr Yadav, in his petition, argued that even though he was a resident of Patna, he was being asked to appear for questioning in Delhi, which is in violation of Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). As per the provision, he said, a notice can only be issued to a person who is situated within the local jurisdiction of a police station or the adjoining police station.

The 33-year-old, through the petition, requested time from the CBI to appear before it after the end of the current Bihar Assembly session. As the newly appointed Deputy Chief Minister, it is his responsibility to attend the session, he said.

The CBI has, till now, issued three notices (February 28, March 4 and March 11) to Mr Yadav. The Bihar Deputy Chief Minister has sought the quashing of the summons.

Mr Yadav also requested "the presence of his advocate(s) at a visible but not audible distance, as per the law laid down by the Supreme Court of India" during his interrogation.

Mr Yadav and some of his family members, including parents Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi, are being investigated in the alleged land-for-jobs scam.

Tejashwi Yadav assured his full cooperation and assistance in the ongoing investigation.

Lalu Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi - both former Bihar Chief Ministers - and their daughter Misa Bharti were granted bail on Wednesday by a court in the case.

The Yadavs are accused of buying land dirt-cheap in exchange for jobs during the Rashtriya Janata Dal boss's stint as Union Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009.

The CBI, in its chargesheet, alleged that irregular appointments of candidates were made in the Central Railway, violating the laid down norms and procedures of Indian Railways for recruitment.

Eric Garcetti's Nomination As India Envoy Cleared By US Senate

Eric Garcetti, President Joe Biden's close aide, was confirmed as US Ambassador to India after the Senate on Wednesday voted on his nomination, filling a key diplomatic position after a gap of two years.

The Senate voted 52-42 advancing the former Los Angeles mayor's nomination that caps off months of stasis for Garcetti.

The former mayor's nomination was pending before the US Congress since July 2021 when he was nominated for the prestigious diplomatic posting by Biden. The position has remained vacant for more than two years.

Mr Garcetti's nomination was not brought to the Senate floor for a vote during the last Congress as the ruling Democratic Party did not have enough support to get him through.

The 52-year-old was not confirmed by the Senate in President Biden's first two years in office amid concerns by some lawmakers that the then-mayor had not adequately handled allegations against a former senior adviser of sexual assault and harassment.

President Biden renominated Garcetti to the same position in January this year.

The last US ambassador to India, Kenneth Juster, stepped down in January 2021 after the change of government in America.
