"Many Manish Sisodias Behind Bars": Ashok Gehlot

A day after the CBI arrested Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday said "many Sisodias" have been arrested in the country but people don't get to know about them.

There is "terror" of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), and Income Tax department in the country, while the judiciary and Election Commission are under pressure, he claimed.

Mr Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on Sunday evening in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy 2021-22.

A special court in Delhi on Monday sent him to five-day CBI custody for effective interrogation to unravel the alleged scam.

"Many Sisodias have been arrested in the country," Mr Gehlot told reporters in Sikar in response to a question.

People don't find out about them. They found out about Mr Sisodia's arrest because he is a deputy chief minister, he said.

"There are many such instances where journalists, writers and litterateurs have been put behind bars. The general public will have to think about what is happening in the country," he said.

Delhi's ruling AAP claims Mr Sisodia is innocent and has been arrested due to political vendetta. The party on Monday staged protests across the country against Mr Sisodia's arrest.

Mr Gehlot further claimed there is "terror" of central probe agencies and an atmosphere of tension and violence prevails in the country.

"There is severe inflation, unemployment, an atmosphere of tension and violence in the country, there is terror of ED, Income Tax department and CBI. The judiciary and the Election Commission are under pressure and the gap between the rich and the poor is growing. These issues have shaken the whole country," the chief minister said.

"The government of India is not paying attention to this. All... issues are of great importance. It is its duty to pay attention to them when the Opposition raises them through dharnas, demonstrations and yatras ... like (Congress leader) Rahul Gandhi did," he said.

It is the country's misfortune that these "fascist" people, who have no faith in democracy, have formed the government by putting on the mask of democracy.

Referring to the Rajasthan government's Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme and other welfare initiatives, Mr Gehlot said these measures are being discussed across the country and the state has set an example.

Kerala Temple Introduces Mechanical Elephant For Performing Rituals

In a first in Kerala, a life-like mechanical elephant was on Sunday dedicated to the deity in a temple near here for performing daily rituals from now on, instead of a real pachyderm.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India joined hands with award-winning actor Parvathy Thiruvothu, and held the 'Nadayiruthal' ceremony of 'Irinjadappilly Raman', a robotic elephant, at Irinjadappilly Sree Krishna Temple in the district.

PETA said Raman will help conduct ceremonies at the temple in a safe and cruelty-free manner and thereby supports real elephants' rehabilitation and lives in forests and end the horror of captivity for them.

"An inaugural ceremony held today was followed by a performance by the percussion ensemble led by Peruvanam Satheesan Marar. Subjecting live elephants to the extreme loudness of the timpani is cruel, as it is damaging and distressing for live elephants," PETA said in a release.

Ms Thiruvothu said these days we have access to understanding what animals are forced to endure when humans use them for entertainment.

"It's high time we made stronger and more impactful strides towards stopping such abuse and letting animals have respectful and dignified lives... I am delighted to support PETA India in helping Sree Krishna Temple worshippers experience the joy and sanctity of religious functions in an exciting, modern, and conscientious manner," she was quoted in the release.

Head priest of the temple Rajkumar Namboothiri said they were "extremely happy and grateful" to receive the mechanical elephant which will help them to conduct rituals and festivals in a cruelty-free manner and hoped that other shrines also consider replacing live elephants for rituals.

PETA claimed most elephants in captivity in the country, including in Kerala, are being held illegally or have been transported to a different state without permission.

The frustration of captivity leads elephants to develop and display abnormal behaviour, PETA said, adding that, at their wit's end, frustrated elephants often snap and try to break free, running amok and so harming humans, other animals, and property.

"According to figures compiled by the Heritage Animal Task Force, captive elephants killed 526 people in Kerala in a 15-year period. Thechikkattukavu Ramachandran, who has been in captivity for about 40 years and is one of the most often used elephants in Kerala's festival circuit, has reportedly killed 13 individuals-- six mahouts, four women, and three elephants," the release said.

PETA urged all venues and events using elephants to switch to lifelike mechanical elephants or other means in place of real elephants.

It also called for retiring elephants already in captivity to sanctuaries where they can live unchained and in the company of other elephants, healing psychologically and physically from the trauma of years of isolation, captivity, and abuse.

जानें, क्यों जातिगत जनगणना के मुद्दे पर अन्य विपक्षी दलों के निशाने पर है सपा?

उत्तर प्रदेश में समाजवादी पार्टी (सपा) जातिवार जनगणना के मामले पर सदन (विधान मंडल) से लेकर सड़क तक आंदोलन कर रही है. वहीं, बहुजन समाज पार्टी (बसपा) समेत अन्य विपक्षी दल तथा सत्ता पक्ष के सहयोगी दल इस मांग से सहमत होते हुए भी सपा को ही कठघरे में खड़ा करते नजर आ रहे हैं. राजनीतिक जानकारों का कहना है कि अगले वर्ष होने वाले लोकसभा चुनाव के मद्देनजर यह सत्तारूढ़ भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के खिलाफ जातियों के धुव्रीकरण की एक कोशिश है.

लखनऊ विश्वविद्यालय में राजनीति विज्ञान विभाग के प्रोफेसर डॉक्टर संजय गुप्ता ने ‘पीटीआई-भाषा' से बातचीत में कहा, ‘‘लोकसभा चुनाव आ रहा है और भाजपा एवं प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी को चुनौती देने के लिए विपक्ष के पास कोई मुद्दा नहीं है, इसलिए इसे तूल देकर जाति के नाम पर भावनाओं को उभारा जा रहा है.'' इस विषय पर विपक्षी दलों के एकजुट न होने के सवाल पर प्रोफेसर गुप्ता ने कहा, ‘‘जब तक विचारधारा के स्तर पर एकजुटता नहीं होगी, तब तक राजनीतिक स्वार्थ टकराते रहेंगे और यह मुद्दा एक असफल प्रयोग साबित होगा, इसका कोई नतीजा नहीं निकलेगा.''

पड़ोसी राज्य बिहार में सात जनवरी से जाति आधारित जनगणना की प्रक्रिया शुरू होने पर उत्तर प्रदेश में भी मुख्य विपक्षी पार्टी सपा इस मामले को लेकर सक्रिय हो गयी. एक तरफ सपा ने जाति आधारित जनगणना के लिए विधानसभा में जोरदार मांग की तो वहीं अपनी इस मांग पर बल देने के लिए पहले चरण में राज्य में 24 फरवरी से पांच मार्च तक प्रखंड ( ब्‍लॉक) स्‍तर पर संगोष्ठी करके अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग सहित सभी जातियों को जागरूक करने के लिए सपा नेता दौरा कर रहे हैं.

विधानसभा में राज्यपाल के अभिभाषण पर चर्चा में भाग लेते हुए अखिलेश यादव ने बृहस्पतिवार को कहा था, ‘‘हमने अपने घोषणा पत्र में कहा था कि अगर सपा के नेतृत्व में सरकार बनी तो तीन माह में जातीय जनगणना होगी. हमारी फिर मांग है कि जातीय जनगणना होनी चाहिए.'' इससे पहले विधानसभा में प्रश्न काल के दौरान सपा सदस्य डॉक्टर संग्राम यादव ने सरकार से पूछा कि क्या वह बिहार सरकार की तर्ज पर उत्तर प्रदेश में भी जातिवार जनगणना करायेगी. सरकार की ओर से इनकार करने पर सपा सदस्यों ने जमकर हंगामा किया और 35 मिनट तक विधानसभा स्थगित रही.

इस बीच, बृहस्पतिवार को बसपा अध्यक्ष और उत्तर प्रदेश की पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री मायावती ने एक बयान जारी कर कहा कि जातिगत जनगणना की वकालत करने वाली सपा के लिए यह बेहतर होता कि इस कार्य को पार्टी अपनी सरकार में ही पूरा करा लेती. मायावती ने सिर्फ उत्तर प्रदेश में ही नहीं बल्कि पूरे देश में एक साथ जातिवार जनगणना की मांग दोहराई है. सत्तारूढ़ भाजपा के सहयोगी अपना दल (एस) के कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष और राज्‍य सरकार में प्राविधिक शिक्षा मंत्री आशीष सिंह पटेल, निषाद पार्टी के नेता एवं राज्य के मत्स्य मंत्री डॉक्टर संजय निषाद और विपक्षी सुहेलदेव भारतीय समाज पार्टी (सुभासपा) के अध्यक्ष एवं पूर्व मंत्री ओमप्रकाश राजभर ने अलग-अलग बयानों में जातिवार जनगणना का समर्थन किया है, लेकिन इन सभी नेताओं ने सपा को कठघरे में खड़ा करते हुए कहा कि आखिर चार बार सत्ता में रहने के बावजूद सपा ने जातीय जनगणना क्‍यों नहीं कराई.

हालांकि, अखिलेश यादव ने शुक्रवार को नोएडा में पत्रकारों से कहा, ‘‘इस पर मुख्यमंत्री और प्रधानमंत्री क्या कहते हैं, यह सबसे बड़ा सवाल है, छुटभैये नेताओं से इस समस्या का समाधान नहीं होगा.'' सपा के नेतृत्व में चार बार सरकार बनने पर भी जातीय जनगणना नहीं कराये जाने के आरोप पर यादव ने सफाई देते हुए कहा, ‘‘आपको याद होगा लोकसभा में उस समय नेताजी (मुलायम सिंह यादव) शरद यादव जी, लालू प्रसाद यादव जी और दक्षिण भारत के नेता कांग्रेस के पास गये थे कि जातीय जनगणना हो.''

उत्तर प्रदेश के उपमुख्यमंत्री केशव प्रसाद मौर्य ने अखिलेश यादव पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि जातीय जनगणना की मांग करने से पहले जो सत्ता में रहते हुए जातीय न्‍याय नहीं कर सका उसे यह मांग करने का नैतिक अधिकार नहीं है. मौर्य ने कहा, ‘‘मैं जातीय जनगणना के समर्थन में हूं लेकिन अखिलेश यादव को इस पर बोलने का अधिकार नहीं है.'' भारतीय ओबीसी महासभा के राष्‍ट्रीय प्रवक्‍ता चौधरी लौटन राम निषाद ने पीटीआई-भाषा को बताया कि बिना जातीय जनगणना कराये अन्‍य पिछड़ा वर्ग (ओबीसी) को न्याय नहीं मिलेगा. निषाद ने कहा कि अखिलेश यादव द्वारा जातिवार जनगणना कराए जाने की मांग बिल्कुल जायज है.

मनीष सिसोदिया अरेस्ट, BJP ने कहा- "शराब घोटाले में शिक्षा मंत्री" तो AAP बोली- काला दिन

1. मनीष सिसोदिया को आबकारी नीति के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर लगभग आठ घंटे की पूछताछ के बाद गिरफ्तार किया गया. सीबीआई का कहना है कि आबकारी नीति तैयार करने और कार्यान्वयन दोनों में अनियमितताएं थीं और उसका मकसद 'आप' से जुड़े लोगों को कथित तौर पर लाभ पहुंचाना था. सीबीआई अधिकारी सिसोदिया के जवाब से संतुष्ट नहीं थे. उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि सिसोदिया ने जांच में सहयोग नहीं किया इसलिए उन्हें गिरफ्तार किया गया.
2. मनीष सिसोदिया से पूछताछ के बीच 'आप' नेताओं और कार्यकर्ताओं को हिरासत में लिया गया. सीबीआई द्वारा सिसोदिया से पूछताछ शुरू करने के तुरंत बाद, दिल्ली पुलिस ने सत्तारूढ़ आम आदमी पार्टी के 50 से अधिक कार्यकर्ताओं और नेताओं को हिरासत में लिया. दिल्ली पुलिस ने कहा कि संजय सिंह सहित आप कार्यकर्ताओं और प्रमुख नेताओं को सीआरपीसी की धारा 144 का उल्लंघन करने के आरोप में हिरासत में लिया गया. दिल्ली पुलिस ने कहा, "42 पुरुषों और 8 महिलाओं सहित कुल 50 लोगों को हिरासत में लिया गया है."
3. दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि सीबीआई द्वारा मनीष सिसोदिया की गिरफ्तारी गंदी राजनीति है. केजरीवाल ने एक ट्वीट में कहा,‘‘मनीष बेकसूर हैं. उनकी गिरफ़्तारी गंदी राजनीति है. मनीष की गिरफ़्तारी से लोगों में बहुत रोष है. लोग सब देख रहे हैं. लोगों को सब समझ में आ रहा है. लोग इसका जवाब देंगे. इससे हमारे हौसले और बढ़ेंगे. हमारा संघर्ष और मज़बूत होगा.''
4. आम आदमी पार्टी (AAP) ने मनीष सिसोदिया की गिरफ्तारी को तानाशाही की पराकाष्ठा और लोकतंत्र के लिए काला दिन बताया. पार्टी ने कहा कि बीजेपी ने ‘राजनीतिक प्रतिशोध'' के कारण गिरफ्तारी की. भगवान इसके लिए प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी को माफ नहीं करेंगे. ‘आप' के सांसद संजय सिंह ने एक ट्वीट में कहा, ‘‘सिसोदिया की गिरफ्तारी तानाशाही की इंतेहा है. आपने एक नेक इंसान और सर्वश्रेष्ठ शिक्षा मंत्री को गिरफ्तार करके अच्छा नहीं किया. मोदी जी, भगवान भी आपको माफ नही करेगा. मोदी जी एक दिन आपकी तानाशाही का अंत जरूर होगा.''
5. ‘आप' की प्रवक्ता एवं विधायक आतिशी ने कहा कि सिसोदिया को पार्टी और उसके नेता अरविंद केजरीवाल की बढ़ती लोकप्रियता के कारण गिरफ्तार किया गया है. उन्होंने कहा कि सिसोदिया वह शिक्षा मंत्री हैं जिन्होंने दिल्ली के सरकारी स्कूलों का कायाकल्प कर 20 लाख गरीब बच्चों को शिक्षा दी. उन्होंने लाखों गरीब बच्चों को बेहतर भविष्य दिया. उन्होंने इस धारणा को तोड़ा कि सरकारी स्कूल अच्छी शिक्षा नहीं दे सकते और उनमें विश्वास बढ़ाया. उन्होंने कहा, भाजपा कह रही है कि वह 10,000 करोड़ रुपये के घोटाले में शामिल थे. लेकिन वह 10,000 करोड़ रुपये कहां हैं?
6. भारतीय जनता पार्टी (BJP) ने कहा कि दिल्ली के उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया या आम आदमी पार्टी  के अन्य नेताओं ने शराब नीति में हुए संदिग्ध भ्रष्टाचार के सिलसिले में कभी सवालों का जवाब नहीं दिया. भाजपा प्रवक्ता संबित पार्टी ने कहा कि मनीष सिसोदिया दुनिया के एकमात्र शिक्षा मंत्री हैं, जो शराब घोटाले में शामिल होंगे और यह पूरा प्रकरण आंख खोलने वाला और चौंकाने वाला है. उन्होंने कहा कि धनशोधन मामले में प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) द्वारा गिरफ्तार किए गए दिल्ली के मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन की जमानत खारिज कर दी गई है, क्योंकि उनके निर्दोष होने के आप के दावे के बावजूद उनके खिलाफ मामले में दम है. उन्होंने कहा, इसी तरह, भाजपा का मानना है कि सिसोदिया के खिलाफ भी मामले में दम है.
7. तेलंगाना में सत्तारूढ़ भारत राष्ट्र समिति (BRS) ने मनीष सिसोदिया की गिरफ्तारी की निंदा करते हुए इसे ‘‘अलोकतांत्रिक'' कदम करार दिया. बीआरएस के कार्यवाहक अध्यक्ष के टी रामाराव ने एक बयान में कहा कि भाजपा उन राज्यों में विपक्षी दलों के खिलाफ केंद्रीय एजेंसियों का इस्तेमाल कर रही है, जहां भाजपा सत्ता में नहीं आ सकती. उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि विपक्ष के खिलाफ भाजपा के राजनीतिक षड्यंत्र देश में लोकतंत्र के लिए बाधक बन गए हैं. 
8. रविवार को सुबह 11 बजे मनीष सिसोदिया सीबीआई दफ्तर पहुंचे. इससे पहले वे सवा 10 बजे राजघाट पहुंचे. उन्होंने कहा कि वे वहां बापू का आशीर्वाद लेने आए हैं. इसके बाद उन्होंने पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं से कहा, ''आज जब जेल जा रहा हूं तो मुझे लगता है कि मुझे इसकी बात करनी चाहिए कि जब मैं टीवी चैनल में नौकरी करता था, अच्छा खासा प्रमोशन होता था, अच्छी सैलरी आती थी. अच्छी जिंदगी चल रही थी, लेकिन मैं सब कुछ छोड़ छाड़ कर केजरीवाल जी के साथ आ गया और उनके साथ छुट्टियों में काम करने लगा. उस वक्त मेरी धर्मपत्नी ने सबसे ज्यादा मेरा साथ दिया, मेरी वाइफ घर पर अकेली रहेगी. मेरा एक बेटा है जो यूनिवर्सिटी में पड़ता है, आपको उनका ध्यान रखना है. झूठे आरोप में जेल जाना छोटी बात है.''
9. मनीष सिसोदिया ने कहा कि, स्कूलों में पढ़ रहे बच्चों से मुझे बहुत प्यार है. मैं बच्चों को कहना चाहता हूं अगर आपके मनीष चाचा जी चले गए तो अभी छुट्टी होने वाली नहीं है. मैं बच्चों से कहना चाहता हूं उतनी मेहनत करना जितनी मैं अपेक्षा रखता हूं. खूब मन लगाकर पढ़ना लाखों बच्चों के ऊपर देश का भविष्य है. मनीष सिसोदिया ने आप कार्यकर्ताओं को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि ''मेरे ऊपर लगे आरोप झूठे हैं, ये चुनौतीपूर्ण समय है और हम भगत सिंह के अनुयायी हैं.''
10. केंद्रीय अन्वेषण ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) द्वारा उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया को गिरफ्तार किए जाने के बाद अरविंद केजरीवाल नीत दिल्ली सरकार पर संकट के बादल मंडरा रहे हैं क्योंकि सिसोदिया के पास शिक्षा, वित्त और गृह सहित कुल 18 विभाग हैं. सिसोदिया की गिरफ्तारी से पहले पिछले साल जून में दिल्ली के तत्कालीन स्वास्थ्य मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन को गिरफ्तार किया गया था. उनकी अनुपस्थिति के बाद मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के पास दिल्ली में अपने शासन के एजेंडे को लागू करने के लिए कोई कद्दावर चेहरा नहीं है. केजरीवाल के लिए तत्काल चुनौती दिल्ली सरकार का बजट निर्धारित तरीके से पेश करने और सिसोदिया के बदले किसी नए नेता को खोजने की है. आम आदमी पार्टी सूत्रों ने बताया कि राजस्व मंत्री कैलाश गहलोत अगले वित्त वर्ष के लिए दिल्ली सरकार का बजट पेश कर सकते हैं.

"Inexcusable Slip-Up": Congress On Abul Kalam Azad Missing From Poster

The Congress apologised on Sunday after an advertisement on its 85th plenary session, which did not feature India's first education minister and freedom fighter Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, triggered a controversy and the party received flak from several quarters.

The party said it was "an inexcusable slip-up", for which responsibility was being fixed and action would be taken.

The full-page advertisement, published in dailies on the third day of the plenary session on Saturday, featured Congress leaders of the past -- Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, B R Ambedkar, Subhas Chandra Bose, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, P V Narasimha Rao and Sarojini Naidu.

Sharing the advertisement on Twitter, Congress MP Manish Tewari said, "The @INCIndia has a pantheon of Muslim leaders who struggled against fissiparous tendencies especially within their community that led to creation of Pakistan & dedicated themselves to inclusive idea of India. Someone wants to airbrush their contribution from annals of History."

Several people hit out at the Congress for leaving out Azad in its advertisement.

"Today an ad released by INC did not carry a photograph of Maulana Azad. It was an inexcusable slipup. Responsibility for it is being fixed & action will be taken," Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said in a tweet.

"Meanwhile this is a most sincere apology from us. He will always remain an iconic & inspiring figure for us & India," he said.

Mr Ramesh also responded to a tweet by a party leader which pointed out that Azad's picture featured on the dias of the plenary session, saying, "Hope all those who took us to task (justifiable as it may have been) for one goof do take note."

BSP MP Kunwar Danish Ali hit out at the Congress, saying Rahul Gandhi will have to confront and clean RSS elements in his party that are responsible for such a self-goal.

"How can INC forget Maulana Azad and his contribution? Earlier also, Pranab Mukherjee and Shivraj Patil approved installation of Savarkar's portrait in Parliament," Mr Ali said.

BJP MP and its youth wing president Tejasvi Surya said it was "hypocritical" on the part of the Congress to include Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, B R Ambedkar, Subhas Chandra Bose, Lal Bahadur Shastri and P V Narasimha Rao in its advertisement.

"The nation remembers how Nehru family treated these stalwarts & tried erasing their legacy. This advert is only laughable!" he tweeted.

"इवेंट मैनेजमेंट कानून से नहीं बचा सकता'' : बीजेपी ने 'आप' के आरोप पर किया पलटवार

दिल्ली शराब नीति मामले में मनीष सिसोदिया को सीबीआई ने रविवार की शाम को गिरफ्तार कर लिया. दिल्ली के डिप्टी सीएम मनीष सिसोदिया पूछताछ के लिए सीबीआई के सामने सुबह 11 बजे पेश हुए थे. पूछताछ केस बाद शाम को उनको गिरफ्तार कर लिया. वहीं, आम आदमी पार्टी के केंद्र सरकार पर एजेंसियों के दुरुपयोग के आरोप पर बीजेपी नेता संबित पात्रा ने पलटवार किया.

दिल्ली के उप मुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया की गिरफ्तारी के बाद दिल्ली की सत्तारूढ़ आम आदमी पार्टी ने केंद्र पर केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो का दुरुपयोग करने का आरोप लगाया. इस पर भाजपा ने आम आदमी पार्टी पर निशाना साधा. भाजपा के प्रवक्ता संबित पात्रा ने कहा, "इवेंट मैनेजमेंट आप को कानून से नहीं बचा सकता है."

संबित पात्रा ने आज शाम को संवाददाता सम्मेलन में कहा, "मनीष सिसोदिया, 'आप' के अन्य नेताओं ने कभी नहीं बताया कि भ्रष्टाचार का मामला सामने आने के बाद उन्होंने आबकारी नीति क्यों वापस ले ली... दिल्ली की आबकारी नीति को मंत्रियों के समूह को भेजे जाने से पहले 'आप' द्वारा शराब-ठेकेदार 'दोस्तों' को लीक कर दी गई थी." उन्होंने कहा पत्रकारों से कहा, "आप ने दिल्ली में शराब संस्कृति फैलाई और चुनाव प्रचार में शराब के पैसे गंवाए."

उन्होंने कहा कि सवाल यह है कि, मनीष सिसोदिया ने शराब घोटाला किया या नहीं किया. आम आदमी पार्टी और मनीष सिसोदिया ने अपने कमीशन के चक्कर में होलसेलर का कमीशन जो दो प्रतिशत था, उसे बढ़ाकर 12 प्रतिशत कर दिया. यह इसलिए किया गया ताकि मोटा फायदा आम आदमी पार्टी बैक डोर से कमा सके. दिल्ली में नशे में कमीशनखोरी की बदबू थी. 

उन्होंने कहा कि कमीशन के लिए पूरा षड्यंत्र किया गया कि कैसे ज्यादा से ज्यादा शराब की दुकानें खोली जा सकें. हमने आबकारी मंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया से कुछ सवाल पूछे थे. अरविंद केजरीवाल खुद एक ब्यूरोक्रेट रहे हैं. उन्हें टेक्निकल प्रश्नों के उत्तर देना भलीभांति आता है. लेकिन एक साल गुजर गया क्या अरविंद केजरीवाल या उनकी टीम से किसी व्यक्ति ने एक्साइज पॉलिसी को लेकर कोई टेक्निकल प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस की?       

संबित पार्टी ने बीजेपी मुख्यालय में हुए संवाददाता सम्मेलन में तंज कसते हुए कहा कि सिसोदिया दुनिया के एकमात्र शिक्षा मंत्री हैं, जो शराब घोटाले में शामिल होंगे और यह पूरा प्रकरण आंख खोलने वाला और चौंकाने वाला है. उन्होंने कहा कि मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग केस में प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) द्वारा गिरफ्तार किए गए दिल्ली के मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन की जमानत खारिज कर दी गई है, क्योंकि उनके निर्दोष होने के आप के दावे के बावजूद उनके खिलाफ मामले में दम है उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘इसी तरह, भाजपा का मानना है कि सिसोदिया के खिलाफ भी मामले में दम है.''

संबित पात्रा ने गिरफ्तारी के पीछे राजनीति के आरोप को खारिज करते हुए कहा कि जांच एजेंसी और पार्टी दो अलग-अलग संस्थाएं हैं. उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि मामले के आरोपियों ने 45 मोबाइल फोन और अन्य सबूत नष्ट कर दिए.

उन्होंने जोर देर कहा कि भाजपा भ्रष्टाचार को कतई बर्दाश्त नहीं करती है और इसके खिलाफ उसकी लड़ाई हमेशा जारी रहेगी.

सीबीआई अधिकारियों ने कहा कि करीब आठ घंटे की पूछताछ के बाद सिसोदिया को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया, क्योंकि उनके जवाब संतोषजनक नहीं थे.

AAP Approaches Supreme Court To Summon Budget Session Of Punjab

The Punjab government has been "forced" to move the Supreme Court over the issue of summoning the budget session of the state assembly as the governor is not responding to the cabinet's decision in this regard, Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha said on Sunday.

The AAP leader said the matter will be mentioned in the apex court on Monday morning.

The standoff between Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit and the AAP government led by Bhagwant Mann had intensified on Thursday with Purohit indicating he is in no hurry to summon the session and reminding the chief minister about his "derogatory" response to a letter from Raj Bhavan.

Mr Purohit's letter to Chief Minister Mann had come two days after the Punjab Cabinet decided to call the assembly session from March 3 and requested the governor to summon the House.

"Settled law that Governor has to summon assembly as per the advice of Cabinet .... We have been forced to move Supreme Court on something as basic as summoning budget session of Punjab Assembly. Matter will be mentioned tomorrow morning in SC," Mr Chadha said on Twitter.

"On 22nd Feb 2023, the Punjab Cabinet asks the Punjab Governor to summon the budget session of the assembly from 3rd March 2023.

"On 23rd Feb 2023, Punjab Governor says he needs to take legal advice on that. Till date Governor not reverted on this issue," the Rajya Sabha MP tweeted.
