The Gautam Adani group has sought 94,000 square metres of 'gauchar' (grazing land) and non-arable land from the Gujarat government to build a township and special economic zone, the state Assembly was informed on Friday.
Responding to a query raised by Aam Aadmi Party's Jamjodhpur MLA Hemant Ahir, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who handles the revenue portfolio, said the group had sought 93,900 square metres of land in Khodiyar village in Ahmedabad and Dantali village in Gandhinagar.

Observing that a victim has a fundamental right to a fair trial, the Supreme Court on Friday ordered Maharashtra Police to further investigate the alleged assault on a man at NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad's bungalow over an objectionable social media post.

मुरादनगर पुलिस ने एक आयुर्वेदिक डॉक्टर की हत्या के मामले में बृहस्पतिवार को दो लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है. शमशाद नाम के डॉक्टर की 11 फरवरी को उसके क्लिनिक में हत्या कर दी गई थी. पुलिस उपायुक्त रवि कुमार ने बताया कि गिरफ्तार आरोपियों की पहचान मेरठ निवासियों ओवैस और मोहम्मद उवेश के रूप में हुई है. पूछताछ के दौरान, ओवैस ने जुर्म कबूल करते हुए बताया कि उसने शमशाद को गोली मारी थी, जबकि उसका साथी मोहम्मद उसे लाल रंग की स्कूटी पर क्लिनिक तक लेकर आया था.
