बांग्लादेश में शरारती तत्वों ने 14 हिंदू मंदिरों में की तोड़फोड़ : पुलिस

पश्चिमोत्तर बांग्लादेश में अज्ञात व्यक्तियों ने श्रृंखलाबद्ध सुनियोजित हमले करके 14 हिंदू मंदिरों में तोड़फोड़ की. पुलिस ने रविवार को यह जानकारी दी.ठाकुरगांव में बलियाडांगी “उपजिले” स्थित एक हिंदू समुदाय के नेता बिद्यनाथ बर्मन ने कहा, “अज्ञात व्यक्तियों ने अंधेरे की आड़ में हमलों को अंजाम दिया. हमलावरों ने तीन इलाकों में 14 मंदिरों में मूर्तियों को क्षति पहुंचाई.”

उपजिले की पूजा उत्सव परिषद के महासचिव बर्मन ने कहा कि कुछ मूर्तियां नष्ट कर दी गईं, जबकि कुछ मंदिर स्थलों के पास तालाब में पाई गईं.

बिद्यानाथ बर्मन ने कहा, “हम उनकी (अपराधियों की) पहचान नहीं कर पाए हैं, लेकिन हम चाहते हैं कि जांच के बाद उन्हें न्याय के कटघरे में लाया जाए.''

हिंदू समुदाय के नेता और केंद्रीय परिषद के अध्यक्ष समर चटर्जी ने कहा कि इस क्षेत्र को हमेशा आपसी सद्भाव के क्षेत्र के रूप में जाना जाता है क्योंकि “यहां पहले कभी ऐसी कोई घटना नहीं हुई थी.''

उन्होंने कहा, “मुस्लिम समुदाय (बहुसंख्यक) का हमारे (हिंदुओं) से कोई विवाद नहीं है. हमें अभी यह समझ नहीं आ रहा कि ये अपराधी कौन हो सकते हैं.”

बलियाडांगी पुलिस थाने के प्रभारी खैरुल अनम ने कहा कि हमले शनिवार रात और रविवार तड़के कई गांवों में हुए.

ठाकुरगांव के पुलिस प्रमुख जहांगीर हुसैन ने एक मंदिर स्थल पर संवाददाताओं से कहा,“यह स्पष्ट रूप से देश की शांतिपूर्ण स्थिति को भंग करने के लिए सुनियोजित हमले का मामला प्रतीत होता है.”उन्होंने कहा कि बदमाशों का पता लगाने के लिए पुलिस जांच शुरू कर दी गई. उन्होंने कहा, “मैं आपको विश्वास दिलाता हूं कि उन्हें कड़ी कानूनी कार्रवाई का सामना करना पड़ेगा.”

ठाकुरगांव के उपायुक्त या प्रशासनिक प्रमुख महबुबुर रहमान ने कहा, “यह (हमला) शांति और सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव के खिलाफ एक साजिश है. यह एक गंभीर अपराध है और अपराधियों को सजा का सामना करना पड़ेगा.”

Centre To File Petition Over Supreme Court's Remarks On Sikkimese Nepalis

Amid protests in Sikkim over a reported observation of the Supreme Court referring to Sikkimese Nepalis as "immigrants", Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Sunday said the Centre is filing a review petition in the supreme court to support the state government.

The state government has already filed a review petition in the supreme court on the matter.

The protests are taking place after the Supreme Court reportedly mentioned the Sikkimese Nepali community as immigrants in an observation on January 13 while extending income tax exemption to all old settlers of the state.

"I have spoken to CM of Sikkim P S Tamang Golay. Union of India is also filing a Review Petition in Supreme Court to support Sikkim Govt through Solicitor General of India. Govt of India stands with the people of Sikkim," Mr Rijiju tweeted.

In another tweet, he assured the people of Sikkim that "this judgment does not deal with or dilute Article 371F of the Constitution (relating to the state) and has nothing to do with anyone's citizenship." "We value the Constitutional status of every genuine Indian and will be protected at any cost," he wrote.

आगरा पुलिस ने पकड़े तीन दर्जन से अधिक बांग्लादेशी

उत्तर प्रदेश के आगरा जिले के सिकंदरा थाना क्षेत्र में पुलिस ने तीन दर्जन से अधिक बांग्लादेशियों को पकड़ है . ये सभी बांग्लादेशी आवास विकास कालोनी सेक्टर-14 में खाली पड़ी जमीन पर झुग्गी झोपड़ी डालकर रह रहे थे. पुलिस ने इसकी जानकारी दी.

पुलिस ने बताया कि पुलिस को शहर में बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों के अवैध तरीके से रहने की जानकारी मिली थी, जिसके बाद पुलिस ने इनकी तलाश करनी शुरू कर दी. रविवार की सुबह पुलिस को बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों की सही लोकेशन मिली.

उन्होंने बताया कि पुलिस ने कार्रवाई करते हुए मौके से 15 पुरुष, 13 महिलाएं और12 बच्चों सहित कुल 40 बांग्लादेशी नागरिक पकड़े.

उन्होंने बताया कि पकड़े गये बांग्लादेशियों से पूछताछ की जा रही है, वह यहां कब और कैसे आये और क्या इन लोगों को यहां पर किसी ने बसाया था.

उन्होंने बताया कि झुग्गी-झोपड़ी बनाने के लिए उन्हें किराये पर जमीन दी गयी थी तो इसका किराया कौन वसूल रहा था. पुलिस यह भी जानकारी कर रही है कि यह बांग्लादेशी यहां कब से रह रहे थे.

इस संबंध में थाना सिकंदरा इंसपेक्टर आनंद कुमार शाही ने बताया कि पूछताछ में पता चला है कि उक्त बांग्लादेशी समय-समय पर दलाल के माध्यम से यहां बसाये गये हैं, पुलिस और जानकारी जुटा रही है.

फिलहाल पकड़े गये बांग्लादेशियों को अदालत में पेश किया गया है जहां से अग्रिम आदेश के तहत अगली कार्रवाई की जाएगी.

Why Water "Wars" Between States When It Was Adequately Available: KCR

Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday asked why "wars" between states over water were being encouraged when there was adequate availability of it to irrigate every acre of land in India.

Speaking at a media briefing here, he said the BRS aims to change water policy and bring in a new mechanism for water supply in the country.

"Why are water wars between states being encouraged when there is adequate water to irrigate every acre of land in India?" he asked.

Average goods train speed in India is 24 kmph, way behind 120 kmph in China, he said.

Mr Rao also noted that India has 361 billion tonnes of coal reserves, enough to provide country's energy needs for the next 125 years. "Yet we are privatising the power sector," he said.

Attempts Underway By Centre To Malign Bengal: Trinamool Leader

TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee Saturday slammed the Centre for sending central teams to West Bengal, and said attempts are on to malign the state government as Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had not bowed before it.

He also dubbed the state BJP leaders "anti-Bengal", as they have also "played a role in stopping the flow of funds" to the state.

"People here know how the BJP-led central government has halted funds for Bengal. It is doing this out of vengeance, because the party could not win the assembly elections in 2021," he said, while addressing a mega rally at Keshpur.

Abhishek Banerjee said the TMC leadership would never surrender before the "corrupt" BJP regime.

"Mamata Banerjee has never bowed her head in front of these dishonest BJP politicians, and she will never do it. She has the love and affection of the people, and they will give the answer to BJP's injustice.

"BJP leaders are sending central teams... However, they couldn't find even one case of fraud. The teams were sent to malign the people of the state," he alleged.

The TMC general secretary said Bengal BJP leaders also support the Centre, who have claimed that they are the ones to have told the Union government about not releasing funds meant for the people of the state.

"These anti-Bengal leaders have no place in our state," he said.

"We Built Ram Temple, Removed Babur's Occupation": Assam Chief Minister

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma while addressing a public meeting in Banamalipur said that Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) built the Ram Temple after removing Babur's occupation at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.

The Assam Chief Minister was in Tripura on Friday, claiming that Babur had captured the place where Lord Ram was born.

"We had resolved to construct Ram Mandir at Ram Janmabhoomi if our Government comes to power...Babur had occupied the land where Lord Ram was born. Today we removed Babur and started the construction of a grand Ram Temple," said the Assam Chief Minister.

Mr Sarma further praised the efforts made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for peace and harmony in the country.

He said, "People did not have faith earlier. People thought communal clashes between Hindus and Muslims would emerge if someone initiated the construction of the Ram Temple. Look at Modi ji now. On the one hand, Ram Temple is being constructed; on the other hand, the brotherhood between Hindus and Muslims has not been affected. The country is progressing as a result."

Meanwhile, Mr Sarma on Friday also exuded confidence that BJP "will win with an even bigger vote margin when polls are conducted in Tripura due later this month".

Mr Sarma also claimed that the opposition Congress and CPI (M) will be wiped out in the state. He made these remarks at Suryamani Nagar in Tripura.

Meanwhile, the BJP is likely to release its election manifesto for Tripura in the next week.

BJP posted a stunning victory in Tripura in the 2018 Assembly elections, a Left bastion with Manik Sarkar being its Chief Minister for over two decades. After its poll victory, BJP appointed Biplab Deb as Tripura's Chief Minister and in May 2022 replaced him with Manik Saha as the Chief Minister.

The party is preparing to register another win in Tripura and has struck an alliance with its former ally Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) which has fielded its candidates at five assembly seats.

For the elections at 60 Assembly seats in the northeastern state, which are slated to be held on February 16, the BJP has fielded 55 candidates.

For the first time, 11 women candidates have been given tickets in the state assembly election.

Tripura is slated to go to Assembly polls on February 16. Votes will be counted on March 2 along with Nagaland and Meghalaya.
