"कांग्रेस का अंत हो गया है, ये बेतुका खयाल": राहुल गांधी ने लंदन हाउस से बीजेपी को दिया जवाब

कांग्रेस के पूर्व अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ब्रिटेन के दौरे पर हैं. सोमवार को उन्होंने लंदन के हाउस ऑफ पार्लियामेंट के परिसर में ब्रिटिश सांसदों से बातचीत की. इस दौरान राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि भारतीय संसद में विपक्षी नेताओं के माइक्रोफोन बंद कर दिए जाते हैं. वहां विपक्ष का दमन हो रहा है. राहुल ने कहा कि ये कहना कि कांग्रेस का अंत हो गया है, ये बेतुका खयाल है. 

ब्रिटेन में अपोजीशन लेबर पार्टी के भारतीय मूल के सांसद वीरेंद्र शर्मा ने पार्लियामेंट के ग्रैंड कमेटी रूम में राहुल गांधी के लिए एक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया. इस कार्यक्रम में राहुल ने अपने भारत जोड़ो यात्रा के अनुभवों को भी शेयर किए.

चैथम हाउस के सेशन में लिया हिस्सा
सोमवार शाम को राहुल गांधी ने चैथम हाउस में बातचीत के सेशन में भाग लिया. यहां उन्होंने कहा कि बीजेपी को लगता है कि वह भारत में हमेशा के लिए सत्ता में बनी रहेगी, लेकिन ऐसा नहीं है. बीजेपी के 10 साल शासन से पहले कांग्रेस 10 साल सत्ता में रही है. अगर आप इसे ठीक से देखें तो आजादी से लेकर अब तक कांग्रेस पार्टी ने ज्यादा समय तक देश संभाला है.
 
विपक्ष का दमन किया जा रहा है
राहुल कार्यक्रम में जिस माइक्रोफोन का इस्तेमाल कर रहे थे, वह खराब था. राहुल ने जानबूझकर इसी माइक में बोलना शुरू किया. उन्होंने कहा कि भारत में हमारे माइक खराब नहीं हैं, वे काम कर रहे हैं, लेकिन आप उन्हें चालू नहीं कर सकते. जब मैंने भारतीय संसद में अपनी बात रखने की कोशिश की है, तो ऐसा मेरे साथ कई बार हुआ है. भारत में विपक्ष का दमन किया जा रहा है.

भारतीय लोकतंत्र कमजोर हुआ, तो दुनिया कमजोर हो जाएगी
समारोह में राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि भारत में लोकतंत्र एक वैश्विक सार्वजनिक अच्छाई है. भारत काफी बड़ा है, अगर भारत में लोकतंत्र को कमजोर किया जाता है, तो यह पूरी दुनिया में कमजोर हो जाता है. भारत का लोकतंत्र अमेरिका और यूरोप के आकार का तीन गुना है और अगर यह लोकतंत्र टूट जाता है, तो यह पूरे विश्व में लोकतंत्र के लिए एक बड़ा झटका होगा.

8 Crores Cash From Arecanut Sale: Karnataka MLA Facing Corruption Charges

The embattled BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa, who is facing corruption charges after Rs 8.23 crore was seized from his house and office said on Tuesday that he got the money from sale of arecanut (supari).

Channagiri MLA Virupakshappa, who was the Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited chairman, told reporters at Channeshapur after getting bail from the High Court this was the first in the history of India that a raid has been carried out against a ruling party MLA.

Accepting that the huge cache of money found in his house belonged to his family, the BJP MLA said, "Our Taluk is known as the land of arecanut (supari). An ordinary farmer in our arecanut land has Rs five to six crore at home. I have 125 acres arecanut farm, arecanut market, and I have many other businesses as well. I will furnish the appropriate documents to the Lokayukta and get back my money." Virupakshappa's son Prashanth Kumar M V, was caught red-handed by Lokayukta officials collecting a bribe of Rs 40 lakh cash from a contractor, allegedly on behalf of his father at the KSDL office.

Further raids led to the recovery of Rs 8.23 crore cash from the house of the Madal family, huge quantity of gold and silver ornaments and large investment in land.

Prashanth is a Karnataka Administrative Services officer and is the chief accounts officer of Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board.

Claiming innocence, he said did not do anything wrong since he did not have any administrative power to sign on any tender documents.

Virupakshappa also maintained that the KSDL officers had cleared all the tenders in a transparent manner and no corruption had taken place.

"I have not done anything wrong, so the court gave me bail," he added.

Calling it a conspiracy against him, he suspected that it was done with a malicious political intent by unknown people.

"This is the first time in the history that a raid has been carried out against a ruling party MLA. I would like to say that I did not do anything which can hurt my party, and I did not do any corruption and I did not indulge in any irregularities," the BJP MLA said.

Virupakshappa also claimed that his son was innocent and alleged someone put Rs 40 lakh in his chamber to trap him.

The MLA who broke down and wept inconsolably said he himself had restricted his movements after the raids.

Channeshapur also saw a rousing welcome with garland and showers of flowers amid sloganeering by his supporters. The MLA stood on his vehicle and waved at the supporters to show the bail as his victory.

40 Gold Biscuits Worth Rs 2.5 Crore Found In Pond In West Bengal

The BSF on Monday recovered gold biscuits worth around Rs 2.57 crore from a pond in Kalyani border outpost area in West Bengal's Nadia district, officials said.

A BSF team carried out a search operation to trace the gold based on specific information, they said.

"40 gold biscuits were found in the pond. The market value of the seized gold is around Rs 2.57 crore," a BSF statement said.

A smuggler had jumped into the pond and hidden the gold thereupon being chased a few months ago, it said.

"When we had caught him, nothing was found from his possession. So, we released him. He had hidden the gold in the pond and was looking for an opportunity to recover it," the statement said.

The BSF South Bengal Frontier seized more than 113 kg of gold in 2022, it added.

IIT बॉम्‍बे के छात्र की मौत का मामला : जांच समिति ने जाति आधारित भेदभाव से किया इंकार

भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (IIT), बॉम्‍बे के छात्र दर्शन सोलंकी की पिछले महीने हुई मौत के बाद संस्थान द्वारा गठित जांच समिति ने जाति आधारित भेदभाव से इंकार किया है. इसके साथ ही समिति ने संकेत दिया है कि सोलंकी के कथित तौर पर खुदकुशी करने के पीछे की वजह खराब शैक्षणिक प्रदर्शन हो सकता है. मूल रूप से गुजरात के अहमदाबाद के रहने वाले बी.टेक (केमिकल) पाठ्यक्रम के प्रथम वर्ष के छात्र 18 वर्षीय सोलंकी की 12 फरवरी को पवई स्थित परिसर में अपने छात्रावास की सातवीं मंजिल से कथित तौर पर कूदने के चलते मौत हो गई थी. वहीं, सोलंकी के परिवार ने दावा किया था कि अनुसूचित जाति से होने के कारण छात्र को भेदभाव का सामना करना पड़ रहा था.

आईआईटी, बॉम्‍बे के अधिकारियों ने मौत और घटना से जुड़े आरोपों के संबंध में रसायन विज्ञान विभाग के प्रमुख प्रोफेसर नंद किशोर की अध्यक्षता में 12 सदस्यीय जांच समिति का गठन किया था. पिछले माह पुलिस ने कहा था कि महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने सोलंकी की मौत की जांच के लिए एक विशेष जांच दल (एसआईटी) का गठन किया है. इस घटना के बाद देश के कई शहरों में छात्र समूहों ने शिक्षण संस्थानों में जाति-आधारित भेदभाव की निंदा करते हुए विरोध प्रदर्शन किया था.

Nagaland Government To Take Oath Today, PM To Attend Event

Nagaland's political stalwart, Neiphiu Rio is all set to be sworn as chief minister of the north eastern state for the fifth term on Tuesday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, officials said.

Mr Rio staked his claim to form the government only on Monday evening though counting was held on March 2.

He met Governor La Ganesan at around 6 pm on Monday after the NDPP and BJP leaders submitted their joint declaration for the government formation and support to him. BJP sources told PTI that Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda will also be present at the swearing-in to be held at around 1.30 pm.

This will be the first time in Nagaland that central ministers will be present at the swearing-in ceremony of the state council of ministers.

The oath-taking of the Rio-led NDPP-BJP government will take place under tight security arrangement at the Capital Cultural Hall here, unlike the massive open public swearing-in ceremony of the government held at the Local Ground in 2018, when Mr Rio became the Chief Minister.

The Rio-led NDPP-BJP coalition had won 37 of the total 60 seats in the Februray 27 Assembly election. The alliance was the only pre-poll one in the state and contested on a 40:20 seat sharing formula. The regional party increased its tally from 18 in 2018 to 25 this time, while the saffron party retained its tally of 12 seats, giving the alliance the absolute majority to retain power for the second consecutive term.

Since the commencement of election campaign, both NDPP and BJP had projected 72-year-old Rio as their chief ministerial candidate.

The BJP Legislature Party in presence of its national spokesperson Nalin Kohli and observer Ranjit Das here unanimously re-elected Yanthungo Patton as its leader. He will be the deputy chief minister of Nagaland.

Meanwhile, the Kohima district and the police administrations have issued traffic restrictions on certain routes linked with VVIP movement and the school education department has declared holiday for all schools within the city area on security reasons on Tuesday.

BSF ने भारत-बांग्लादेश बॉर्डर पर घुसपैठ को किया नाकाम, 9 लाख बांग्लादेशी टका किया जब्त

दक्षिण बंगाल फ्रंटियर के तहत सीमा चौकी खाजीबगान, बॉर्डर सिक्योरिटी फोर्स (BSF) के 54 बटालियन के सैनिकों ने तस्करों द्वारा भारत-बांग्लादेश सीमा पार करने के प्रयास को विफल कर दिया. जानकारी के मुताबिक, बीएसएफ के जवानों ने बाड़ के पास 4 से 5 लोगों की संदिग्ध गतिविधि देखी थी. 

जवानों ने उन्हें रुकने के लिए ललकारा, तो वे मौके से फरार हो गए. इसके बाद जवानों ने इलाके में सर्च ऑपरेशन चलाया. इस दौरान एक प्लास्टिक की थैली मिली. थैली में 9 लाख बांग्लादेशी करेंसी थी. जब्त बांग्लादेशी करेंसी को बानपुर कस्टम विभाग को सौंप दिया गया है.

54 बटालियन के कमांडिंग ऑफिसर ने बीएसएफ जवानों की सफलता पर संतोष व्यक्त. उन्होंने कहा कि वे सभी प्रकार के सीमा पार अपराधों को रोकने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं.

इससे पहले फरवरी में बिहार के किशनगंज जिला से सटे भारत-बांगलादेश बॉर्डर पर घुसपैठ की कोशिश को बीएसएफ के जवानों ने नाकाम कर दिया था. तस्करों द्वारा की गई फायरिंग में एक जवान को भी गोली लगी थी. घटना हेड क्वार्टर के अधीन 152 वीं बटालियन ने जिले से सटे पश्चिम बंगाल के उत्तर दिनाजपुर जिले में भारत-बांग्लादेश सीमा पर ये कार्रवाई की थी.

152 बटालियन बीएसएफ के बीओपी टीनगांव के ड्यूटी सतर्क सीमा प्रहरियों ने देखा कि तीन-चार संदिग्ध अज्ञात लोग माथे पर कुछ सामान लेकर पीएस गोलपुकर के तहत भारतीय सीमावर्ती गांव ग्वालिन से भारत-बांग्लादेश सीमा बाड़ की ओर आ रहे थे. जैसे ही बीएसएफ के सीमा प्रहरियों ने उन्हें चुनौती दी, उन्होंने माथे पर रखा सामान गिरा दिया और आसपास के क्षेत्र के मक्का के खेत में भागने लगे. 

बीएसएफ के सीमा प्रहरियों ने तुरंत उनका पीछा किया. इस दौरान बीएसएफ के एक जवान मुकेश चंद शर्मा ने उनमें से एक व्यक्ति को सफलतापूर्वक पकड़ लिया.

India Can Become 3rd Largest Economy By Training Youth: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that India's resolve to become the world's third-largest economy can be achieved by imparting skills to youth.

Addressing the Gujarat Rozgar Mela virtually, PM Modi said, "There is a need to prepare skilled manpower on a large scale for new possibilities being created in the country. India can achieve its target of becoming the third largest economy through youth's skill power only and we are trying to ensure the benefit of skill to all sections of society."

Prime Minister said the enormous amount of investment in sectors like infrastructure and information technology is channelizing growth leading to employment creation. Over Rs 1.25 lakh crore is being spent alone in Gujarat resulting in the creation of lakhs of opportunities.

He said in the Union budget 2023-24 a provision of Rs 10 lakh crore has been made for infrastructure development.

"Experts across the world are saying that India is going to be the largest manufacturing hub in the coming years. Gujarat has a great role in this. Gujarat is going to become a great hub for semiconductors," PM Modi said.

He said the holistic approach to development and policy reforms created a startup-friendly ecosystem in the country. PM Modi said there are over 90,000 startups operating in the country even in tier-II and tier-III cities. He said Mudra Yojana and Stand-up India promoted self-employment in the country. Self-help groups have empowered women.

He said in the last five years over 1.5 lakh government jobs were provided to the youth by the state government in Gujarat. In recent years over 18 lakh youth were provided jobs in Gujarat through the Employment Exchange.

"I was informed by the state government that preparations were made to provide employment to 25,000 youth in Gujarat this year. Gujarat's government made the recruitment process transparent using technology.

This was the second time that Rozgar Mela was organised in Gujarat

Prime Minister Modi, on October 22, last year, launched the first phase of the 'Rozgar Mela', where appointment letters were handed over to more than 75,000 new recruits.

It marked the beginning of the campaign to provide 10 lakh government jobs. Since then, PM Modi has so far addressed similar job fairs in several states.
